  1. So I'm sure we are all aware of Webber's comments regarding past regimes pissing money up the wall but I doubt we are all fully aware of Webbers record in this regard. I will share the info I have as I think those at the top need to be held to account: 5m on Kabak plus wages - this one I know for a fact Farhman - 3.5m loan fee - this one is heresay from people within the club, I don't know for a fact but i do have a reliable source for this Sargent - offered to us for around 5m at the start of the window, ended up spending close to 10m on him - source nick ma****or and talk norwich city Norman- I don't have any info Gilmour - minimal cost and I understand the fee is not based on games played, just sharing this as there has been a lot of rumours on here that we pay based on appearance which I understand is not the case. In slightly other news, I spoke to Kieran Tierney today at the Emirates and he stated that Gilmour is a fantastic prospect for Scotland...shame he doesn't suit a club fighting relegation Agent fees - 8.5m last summer, again this is from a very good source but I don't know whether some of the loan fees mentioned above are included here. I don't have any other info on signings over the last few seasons, but from the info I do have it is clear that Webber has been splunking money at levels far beyond any previous regime and I haven't even considered the awful signings.
  2. How anyone can put a positive spin on this interview is beyond me...If they can, I know a certain country looking for new news presenters to peddle the propaganda
  3. We know a Webber signing takes an age. We were offered Sargent for 5m at the start of the last summer window and ended up spending around 10m on him later in the window....
  4. This is a clear lie though. I would consider January a critical time and he went away for 10 days. I know for a fact the club were actively looking to recruit in January as well, just very cheaply.
  5. So this whole scenario was so obvious and I'm glad he has now confirmed it, essentially the club have allowed him flexi working to climb Everest in return for him staying for another season. Him trying to justify going in January is a complete joke. There are 2 windows each season, whether or not we expected much work to be done doesn't matter, you don't leave the club for 10 days during one of the 2 transfer windows. I've been done with Webber for quite some time, noone is bigger than the club but this guy certainly thinks he is! Delia and Michael agreeing to this after seeing Webber splunk more money than any other prior Norwich Chief exec or similar position is totally beyond me and is starting to sway me thst a change of ownership is needed; the mentality from top to bottom at the club now is such an acceptance of championship football and not competing in the prem, its so hard to get behind this club right now. The owners give those in power way too much control everytime. As Webber says, he doesn't give an F what the fans think of what he does. Suspect the fans will be letting him know what they think quite vocally before the season is done!
  6. Is it a 15% sell on clause or 15% of any profit, so essentially the difference between what they paid us and what they are getting paid?
  7. No idea how those guy didn't get loaned out in the summer. I mean Onel isn't good enough for the prem but he's a damn sight better than Placheta.
  8. I agree that wholesale changes are not needed this summer, but i also dont think this squad is good enough for a top 2 finish next season, both quality wise and mentally; we have a serious lack of leaders in the squad! My serious concern is that our squad has been getting weaker for 3 consecutive seasons. I unfortunately suspect that trend will continue into next season. We know Webber is happy to cash in on assets and try to rebuild (I bet he loved football manager!), my big concern is this could be Krul, Rashica and Pukki who are used to generate funds as i am really not sure who else may be wanted.
  9. Just an on trend argument which really has not had any consideration. The fundamental point they are trying to make is that parachute payments should be scrapped so teams give the prem a proper go on promotion. This is fundamentally incorrect, if the payments on relegation were to reduce then clubs like us would spend even less followong promotion, especially on wages, due to the greater risk associated with relegation. Numerous other issues with this article as well.
  10. I don't believe this was officially announced but I also understand this to be the case, commitment to buy on promotion. If not this would have been one hell of an awful decision to send him to Bournemouth with no purchase commitment.
  11. I sort of agree. I'm sure we will find some love again for some of the others next season but there's just a real disconnect between fans, the club and players at the moment. Aarons is a strange one as on his day he is a top player, I do wonder if anyone will come in for him at the money we want after 2 relegations from the prem. Rashica has shown sparks this season and I suspect he would do very well in the championship. Suspect he will be driving for a move though.
  12. This would be the cheery on the cake of the season if we let him go this summer. He's almost 32 so any transfer fee is going to be minimal. Look at what 5m got us last time round with Hugill! There is not a chance in hell we could replace Pukki's goal next season if we let him go. To be honest, Pukki and Krul are the only 2 players in our current squad I can really get behind. It's slightly worrying both have been linked with moves away already. I'm hoping their ages will prevent that. As an aside, I suspect we could be in for Keinen Davis this summer. Hes done a very decent job at Forrest according to my Nottingham supporting friends. A front three of Pukki, Idah and Davies should be good enough going into the new season.
  13. Good to see there is some positivity here. Guess we hear so much about those getting released I've forgotten about some of these other names which have been mentioned.
  14. Genuine question guys, I wasn't aware he signed Idah and Andrew so thats good to know! I genuinely think Omobamidele will prove a better defender than Godfrey and worth 20m plus when we come to sell him in a few years.
  15. With Webber having been at the club for 5 years now I was just wondering whether any of his youth signings have come off. I know he has signed a huge number of youth players since joining and I wondered whether anyone knew if any of these have come off yet or look like they might in the next year or two. Was Rowe one of his? Webber had obviously benefited from selling a lot of the youngsters brought in by McNally but I am struggling to think of any who have made the grade who he has signed. I'm concerned this is just another scattergun approach which I believe is costing us more money than it is making us, similar to what we've seen this year with first team players.
  16. I think the cost of the loans really needs to be examined. I understand we paid between 4 to 5m for Kabak to join us on loan for a season. Fahrmann last time round was a similar amount. I don't know about any others, but to pay close to 10m for two loan players who have barely featured is criminal.
  17. I've never seen the online chat functioning when I've tried. No idea if it's permanently removed
  18. My main concern here is that this is a sign Webber will be staying and the directors have granted him this leave on the basis he stays around for another season. Hope I'm wrong!
  19. Is there some sort of financial hit we take if we don't play Gilmour for a certain number of games? How Smith is still using him is beyond me
  20. The season has been over for us in terms of survival for quite some time. A lot of respect goes to Smith, whose appointment I was wrongly against, for some time. Its been great to have a little bit of hope, but it would take a Leicester esq miracle for us to survive, and that's been the case for months. I'm just glad we as supporters have been given a glimpse of hope, as for the majority of the season it had been a total embarrassment. Webber still needs to own up to it and admit he has got it wrong once again in the prem, hopefully he steps away and gives someone else the chance to turn us into a team who can compete in the prem, rather than **** multi millions of pounds on players with "potential".
  21. Really not been helped by the left midfielder in the last two games. Aarons seems to be playing closer to the centre backs but neither placheta nor Sargent have done enough to help him in the last two games
  22. Fully agree with all of this chicken, back at the end of the summer window we looked blessed with wide players. Unfortunately that has not turned out as we expected for the reasons you mentioned. I still think January would have been the time to recall Onel as he would carry more of a threat than Placheta and Rowe I would think. I agree re Dimi, surprised he hasn't got a look in further forward, especially during the December period where we were struggling for numbers.
