Junior Canaries Christmas party. Tomorrow afternoon -
Rondy I am quite willing to stand IF I can see. You say you''re 6 ft 3 and don''t fit in the seats. I am 5 ft 1. Simply maths if you stand in front of me I can''t see and standing on tiptoes for 90 minutes with your head cricked at an unnatural angle Is bloody painful . One reason why somone might opt to sit
-
Fair enough CN but although away support is more hardcore within that hardcore there are very diverse people. I regard myself as away hardcore because I always go to the games but sorry don''t drink prefer to sit but still sing. That doesn''t make me a better or worse fan but would appear to in some eyes

Point is Chunky it was never a problem when we didn''t sell out. I often used to move to another area ..problem solved. However at Southampton this season there were quite a few empty seats so several had moved across to be able to sit, then during the first half some lads moved from where they were standing to stand in front of those sitting.

Sorry Chunky I''ve been going to Norwich away matches since the 60s and it is only in the last few years that the standing in the seats has been universal amongst the City fans. I was actually looking forward to yesterday as there was terrace for those who wanted to stand & unlike you I was told seats sold out before terracing. Normally I just put up with having to stand, no point in trying to hold back the tide but when people choose to buy seats & then stand it is just totally selfish. So your legs get a bit cramped, try standing on tiptoe fot 90 minutes to try & see. It does seem that to the modern generation of City fans if you don''t stand, go to the pub before the game & worst of all wear green & yellow with pride (no not wigs!) you are some how not entitked to be there & should butt out

Ask people near you to sit down? Tried that at Aston Villa. Ticket in the second row top tier(don''t bother to try when we''re near the back). Was met with the usual abuse, if you don''t stand you''re not a proper fan ,shouldn''tbe there & i was spoiling their day with expletives. Water of a ducks back to me but you can understand why some hesitate

When did we last get a penalty?
Year of the tiger replied to shefcanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Interesting stat unless i''ve missed one. We haven''t had a penalty in an away Premier League match since September 1994 -

Ricardo's report vChelsea
Year of the tiger replied to ricardo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
My man of the match by the proverbial country mile was Michael turner who i don''t think put a foot wrong. Tettey did a lot of good really work but like a few others was let down by his passing. -
More to the point, how does Pilkington stay on week after week. Ok he played well against ManU but other than that he has been poor this season. Most times he has been anonymous but still stayed on for 90 minutes. Sorry i just don''t get what he gives us. (Puts on crash helmet to avoid abuse that i don''tknow what i''m talking about)

Villa really are a poor side...
Year of the tiger replied to GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We''ll just agree to differ, but I did see every game that Cody played for us ..does that mean I missed something

Strange I only watched the second half but thought they were more outplayed than us yesterday.....but then I never thought Cody was gods gift!.
Just shows then doesn''t it. Don''t judge a game or anything else on half of it or you''ll end up with Chris Martin. [:D]
-

The really interesting point is that Loza was released at the end of his two years with the academy (his twitter account) and only re signed when we brought in several players to play in the under 21s. At the time I was disappointed they released him as he does have that one ingredient..pace. From what I''be seen as yet he is way off the first team but I''m glad they''re giving him further chances. In short we still need to sign a forward or getting rid of Vaughan was just plain daft
-
One problem where dec &jed under the pl rules are under 21, Jones would have to be named in the 25. Means one less place for outfield players. Looks like some will have to go especially if we sign anyone else

Delia Smith and the Ipswich Town rosette.
Year of the tiger replied to Canaries Utd's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
How many more times. It was the morning of the 1978 fa cupfinal. Delia was working on BBC cup final buildup from Ipswich and had on the offending item. Asked why she muttered somethinglike supporting east Anglia that day. FACT I watched it. Apparently had a city rosette under her jacket -
How easy Jack to criticise without naming who you would have gone for. I''m interested in the "cheap option", we''ve paid compensation , if we''d really been after a cheap option there are plenty of out of work managers. Perhaps you wanted to blow our entire transfer budget on a new boss. Actually I can''t come up with a realistic mname I''d have preferred. Still I guess if things go wrong next year, you''ll be back claiming the latest fad was you number one choice
