1. Easiest on street parking is to go round the A47 to Postwick. Take the left hand lane turn off to Thorpe St Andrew and keep driving straight on the Yarmouth Rd back into Norwich. You will pass Thorpe St Andrew River Green. Just past here there are a few pubs - River Garden and then the Town House. Plenty of on street parking available around here. It''s a pleasant 15 min walk from here by just following the main road (just follow the crowd) and offers easy access back onto the A47 at Postwick after the game with few hold ups.
2. Ahh, good old Dave Watson. Who? Is that our former Liverpudlian captain? The man on the mike at Carrow Road? Former England/Man City defender? Our former goalkeeper coach? Err, come to think of it, I''m sure there''s a Dave Watson who lives a couple of doors away from me. Whoever he is, I bet good old Dave is chuffed with you spilling the beans....
3. My heart says YES, but my head takes me back to when we re-signed an ageing Robert Fleck in 1995. It wasn''t the same. Maybe a 3-month loan could be good though....
4. I''m surprised, as I haven''t heard much about them since this.. http://youtu.be/Ddr9EpezslU
5. Does anyone else find it slightly strange that a professional footballer is away on his honeymoon just 10 days before his club''s openeing match of the season? Well I do!! Yes, he''s had the World Cup etc, but this surely is the wrong time of year to be squeezing in a honeymoon.  Hundreds of NCFC players in the past would have been getting married whilst playing for us, but I have NEVER heard of one being unavailable so close to the new season because he''s away on honeymoon. Ok, it''s been the WC, but surely he could have waited till next June, or at the very least just postponed his actual honeymoon until a more suitable time?  A drawback of a PL footballer perhaps, but they are richly rewarded.  However many thousands of pounds we pay hime each week should mean that, injuries aside, he should be fit, ready and available to go at Wolves on 10th August.  That he is not suggests that we should get rid - £6m should be fine thank you very much.
6. Ok thanks for the reply GM, I didn''t realise that. The only thing that I find semi amusing is the fact that blackpool demolished their previous open air temporary stand back in 2010, and quickly replaced with a more modern roofed temporary stand primarily for their PL season! So I was therefore assuming that the allegations referred to the previous temp stand rather than the current version, though obviously not!
7.
Then you have that awful temporary stand which loads of people have fallen through and hurt themselves in, usually away fans.
GrantsMoustache, what the heck are you on about?! Can you enlighten me please as I''ve never heard about this.
8. I watched the players get off the bus at Fulham, Adams first game in charge. The bus door had shut and and begun to pull away, until the brakes were applied sharply and the doors re-opened. Out stumbled Bassong, with his beats headphones on. He stumbled out lazily like someone stepping out of a club at 3am! Seriously, it was embarassing and looked like he''d been asleep on the back seat. He may not have been in the selected 18 that day, but as team captain on such a big day, he should be taking the lead and geeing the lads up big time, whether he was selected to play or not. Frankly, his attitude stunk and if I were a betting man, I would say there have been reasons why Adams has decided not to chose him in his squad at the time. Attitude being high up on the list.
9. Squad numbers. Last few seasons they have been released to supporters pretty much on the eve of the season starting. So what was with the 1st July release, coinciding with the return to pre season training? Nope, I don''t buy the fact they want to make the supporters happy so they know who to put on the back of their new shirts - rubbish. Call me cynical but I believe it was a ploy to all but publically tell all involved that certain players are not wanted and are ''gently'' being moved out. Down 25 places and 11 respectively? There''s only one way they are going... A bit if spinning PR wise going on at Carrow Rd....
10. Wasn''t it Matt Jackson who scored the first goal this century? Bellamy first player to score for seven(?) different teams in the PL? Colchester game was also Grant Holt''s debut.
11. Seems like lafferty has good potential. He was highly rated as a youngster though still waiting for him to fulfill this. Is capable of scoring decent goals though, as the below clip shows. Wouldn''t be surprised if old "noteamean" has had some input... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOBTMM6Sanc&sns=em
12. "Too much green". Err, correct me if I''m wrong but I was under the impression our colours are yellow AND green. Green Army.... no?! I like the different shade of green from previous years. It''s very similar to the shade of green from the 1989/91 Asics shorts. And nice not to see baggy/flappy arm sleeves that we usually end up with!
13. Heard a whisper. That''s Monday as in 23rd June by the way!
14. Chicken, how many times does it have to be mentioned on this board that Turner is under contract for a further season? Only Nash and Fox are those released due to being out of contract.
15. Very true, but something significant has clearly happened here which is causing a problem. I won''t have the fact that the management simply think there are better options - that doesn''t fit when you''ve only scored 28 goals all season!! I suspect too much water has flowed under the bridge to see him ''do a Lappin'', though I guess stranger things have happened!
16. Nothing to do with not how to spend your money wisely, I''m talking about their approach to the championship and ultimate promotion after suffering relegation. Looking at their team yesterday, it struck me how 10 of their starting 11 were still from their Prem season. Clearly they had bailed out the bad eggs and expensive contracted players who didn''t want to be there (Remy, Taarabt and the Brazilian GK whose name I forget) were sent out to other clubs. The only significant signing and player in that team was Charlie Austin, who they paid around £7m from Burnley. Personally, I think this is the way we also need to go. Hopefully we can keep the bulk of the squad in tact, with the notable few that we probably need to bail out. But hopefully that will only leave us requiring 2 or 3 significant signings, 2 of which will no doubt be strikers. BUT, we cannot scrimp and save on cheap signings here. We need to get a significant striker that we KNOW can score goals at this level. Those 2 strikers? If we could sign Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn) and Matt Smith (Leeds), then added to Hooper and some youngsters, for me that would be very tasty. Whether possible though is a completely different matter I guess.
17. Jordan Rhodes is a great shout, but I will go a bit left field and say Matt Smith of Leeds. I would want him an A.N.Other however, though I believe he''d be a great compliment to Hooper and that ''other'' striker.
18. Jesus, how many times do I have to come on here and confirm that Turner has 1 more year on his contract? Source: the man himself at the away fans "party".
19. Hire a manger to buy players who have shown they are good enough to play at the top end of the Championship. Players who can score goals in the Championship. No risks on foreign cheap unknown imports, let''s add players around the key players we already have, supported by the youth players coming through. Malky is the man, as he knows the Champ best out of all candidates. Adams can be one of his coaches to provide support and help through this transitional period.
20. Yep, the board has made a mistake this season that has proved costly. But they''ve made loads of good decisions in the preceding 4 years. They''ve earned the right to have a second chance. We need to channel the determination to put this right in good fashion next season. And that includes with David McNally.
21. It feels like the last knocking in the film Titanic, when the ship finally heads beneath the waves! Yes, the hoard have made mistakes. Yes, poor decisions on the pitch have contributed to our down fall. Yes, management decisions have been poor at times. Yes, the decision to sack Hughton could be argued was way too late, unjustified at all, or the correct timing in home quarters. Yes, the players, some more than others, can be laid to blame. Yes, it could have been completely avoidable. Blah blah blah. But do you know what? THIS IS FOOTBALL. The same questions tend to be raised for many relegated teams. It''s part of the football roller coaster. The trick is to learn from mistakes made but then we ALL need to channel now into next season. Time to move on now for all of us. Otbc
22. OP has forgotten the rule that top top players do not make decent managers. They get frustrated that a step down in managers constitute a lower standard of player that they cannot relate to. Malky please. We know what we are getting and he will too. There would be no surprises of the championship and whatbis required for us to achieve success next season. We cannot balls up next season and this summer. No time to take risks like Giggs!
23. BG and Nutty, both agree completely with what you say. Losing 6-0 on the final day in 2005 and finishing this season on a ''high'' could prove the world of difference going into next season. Also, clutching at straws here, but finishing 18th instead of 20th still gives us an extra £1.6m, which in the Champ is not to be sniffed at. Even if we go down, would be good to at least take it to the final day, even though it will be an extra few days of heartache!
24. Yes, very true BG. We will have an upper hand next season. Our immediate rivals Cardiff and Fulham will not be in as good a position as us, largely due to foreign owners and foreign managers not familiar with the Champ. Ok, we haven''t appointed our manager for next season, but I''m assuming he will be one who has experience with the Champ. Believe that should be Malky. Lennon is a risk we cannot afford next season. We get one shot to get this right next season. Balls it up with poor signings and we will be back amongst the rabble for a few years. Malky knows the division. We cannot afford basics mistakes next season if we want to bounce back at the first time of asking.
25. That''s interesting, thanks. I guess what would also be interesting is to gauge ''other'' influences going on at those clubs at those times. For example, Pompey had dire financial issues. Blackburn had a war against Steve Keen and the Indian chicken owners. And what about all those massively in debt? For me, we would mirror WBA from a few years back. Ie, we maintain a solid championship base to our squad. Fulham would worry me, if I was a supporter that is. Sadiq Kahn & co, plus Felix McGath. Vincent Tan and Co, with Solskjaer as manager. I''d rather have David McNally and our board, with Malky, going into battle in the championship thank you very much.
