1. Presuming you''re good enough to play: Money Girls Kudos Big House Nice Car are all reasons to play for England. Poor old Greeno and numerous turnips down the years have all suffered dreadfully from being picked and failing to perform for England. They all get over it eventually. Gareth Southgate & Chris Waddle have carved lucrative careers out of bringing shame on our footballing nation. I''d glady make a fool of myself in the name of England for 1% of what they get. Expect to seen Green on Question of Sport laughing about it sometime soon.
2. If being from a different planet counts, there are dozens of contenders
3. I hope the LDC get fed up with him an slap a disrepute charge on him
4. I can''t get worked up over this spat. The objective last August was to get promoted. McNally & Co decided to go for it at all costs and we got Lambert. The rest is history. We got out of the league and will benefit from being in a wealthier Championship, while Colchester are back where they started with a diminshed chance of progress. Boothroyd confirmed Lamberts decision by bailing out at the first opportunity as well. Mr Cowling may be pleased with himself for winning a moral victory, but 95 points and promotion were all that really mattered. The league table will be there forever - this little ruck should be forgotten for what it was - a spat over Mr Cowlings ego taking a kicking when he was dumped.
5. And an £80000pw pay packet to service.
6. Austin just confirmed why we wouldn''t want him with a glaring miss
7. I think the last couple of weeks show that none of us can predict who the next signing will be. I would suggest 92 users on here each select a squad each from the football league and post up all the players from each team who are out of contract or available on a free - law of averages suggests someone will guess correctly. I''m fed up with trying to read Lambo''s mind.
8. If anyone else is watching its been the perfect advert for league one - two teams of cloggers in a half empty stadium
9. Any self respecting City fan will know we only hate Wolves and Ipswich, we only hate Wolves and Ipswich. General dislike is reserved for Crystal Palace (the arse of league football), Liverpool (who cost us several chances to play in Europe) Man U (genetic for all non Man U fans) and Brighton (never forgave them for getting to Wembley in 1982 after the offside goal by Jimmy Case that beat us, and their coin throwing fans).   Oh, and Colchester.
10. The current generation will gain university degrees researched on Wiki LOL
11. I wonder how much Cardiffs new backers were relying on promotion? Could be squeaky bum time for them.
12.
Anyone got a link to watch it online?
http://www.sky.com/shop/new[;)]
13.
Who knows, he was on the bus so I suspect he has some sort of future. No Cureton or Wiggins so if no Wiggins that would suggest he''s on his way as he played no part of the season, neither did Tudor Pole but he was still part of the squad on the bus. He looked good at Swansea, why can''t he do the job here, he has the same problem that Gill has and that''s the form of Rusty, Korey. Hughes, Lappin has been consistent so he''s not had a look in, seemingly he did well enough at Yeovil.
Doc was on the bus, if thats an indication of anyones future?
14. For those who think Wolves or ColWho are in the Championship next year, I would add Barcelona, Read Madrid and Inter Milan. Otherwise my choice is Binman Town, Leicester and Sheffield - all teams I dislike for various reasons but at least will generate some atmosphere.
15.
If about 15 years ago we had a debt around 6m and were in the first tier and now we have a debt of around 24m and are in the third tier, then some would claim we have suffered massive disinvestment. The corollary to this is that we shall have to invest very heavily to get back to where we were. I would suggest that having now climbed back into the second tier,we are at the tipping point - that tide in the affairs of men. There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; Omitted, all the voyage of their life Is bound in shallows and in miseries.  Shakespeare, Julius Caesar  IV, iii, 217 The only investment capital we have to work with (as far as we know) is BowkerMcNallyLambert plus the momentum of promotion plus our capacity crowds. All else is really toil and contributions to keep the lenders at bay. Will we seize this opportunity and move on to fortune? Or will we omit to catch that tide? Which way will the club tip? We''re in for interesting times - one way or the other. My view? If we can keep Bowker, McNally and Lambert together for the next 3 years or so we shall catch that tide and tip the right way. Your views? OTBC   My Views? As You Like It, V:4 O Sir, we quarrel in print, by the book, as you have books for good manners. I will name you the degrees. The first, the Retort Courteous; the second, the Quip Modest; the third, the Reply Churlish; the fourth, the Reproof Valiant; the fifth, the Countercheck Quarrelsome; the sixth, the Lie with Circumstance; the seventh, the Lie Direct.  or Richard III, I:4 ''Tis better to be brief than tedious.
16. If you''re worried about boundaries, Leeds is in a 1973 time warp
17. I know we''ve done several records; points, consecutive wins, home wins, away wins, clean sheets, away games when scored etc, but I bet the biggest stat is Lambert sayin ''the lads were brilliant'' in his press interviews.
18. I don''t blame Curo in any way. He''s been a good servant and can look back on a great career. Few have better records in the lower leagues. Only shame is his best form has been away from Norwich. His career is almost over but I''ll always have respect for what he''s done.
19. My trainers still smell of beer after the goal went in -only shame is I was in Yorkshire when it happened. Whoever took that picture encapsulated the entire season in one frame.
