    Had the privilege of watching him play many, many times.  Rarely injured, just always seemed to be between the sticks.  Could drop a centre forward as quick as look if needs must!  As many have said, an absolute legend.

    @ TillyThere are calls now for all police to be armed.  As an ex serving police officer, admittedly not in quite such difficult times I would imagine, I''m interested in your view on this emotive subject?

The police and intelligence services are doing a brilliant job, but they are spread so thin at the moment that resources need to be looked at.[/quote]I think Herman has hit nail on head here, even though we are from opposite ends of the political spectrum!  What we are obviously all agreed on is something need to be done, and quickly.  Maybe we should be looking at the Foreign Aid Bill as somewhere we could finance the necessary police and MI5  requirements from, as it has looked for some time as though there has been some diabolical wasteage in that department.

    No 1 has to be the capability to make us defensively sound.  Obvious I know, but no successful team has leaked goals like we do.  This has to be the priority.
