I think we are going to lose tomorrow which should hopefully remind us how far we still have to improve to get back to where we belong.

Hoolahan is not slow and Rhoys is supposed to be quick and eager to get forward. I hope there is space for Hucks but get the impression that Gunn is trying to draw a line under the pass and start again (with the exception of McVeigh).

I think the backroom team are where it is going to count, if they can coach the team well and get them playing like a unit I will be thrilled. No more disinterested players not bothering to track back etc is not too much to ask for.

I think that it is good thus far, and that BG has made the right moves in bringing people in. However we have fallen a long way and it is not going to be easy to get back as Forest and Leeds found.  Just hope the team play with passion and desire, in which case I will cheer them on whatever league we are in.

On the subject I find they are all as bad as each other and generally run the same stories.  Tragically the Express and the Mail seem to have good sources but only ever read their rumours on the BBC roundup as buying them would be a step too far for me.

According to the BBC he is in talks with Sheff Utd to sign him.  Lupoli, Evans, Lita - next thing they will be looking to sign up Sibierski!

I don''t think many people have been moaning have they?  Seen a couple of threads but then there are always people willing to look at the negative aspects of anything Gunny does. Even the big clubs bring people in on trial so why should we be any different?

I think he had a poor season last year, and think a lot of the bookings were down to him getting frustrated at how poorly the team were playing.  He was certainly one of the more committed members of the squad and put in the effort even when being played hopelessly out of position. Would not mind if he stays but think if he leaves will be a good player wherever he ends up.

Think you are spot on there Jimmy.  I also think he could be a revelation this season - I certainly hope so anyway!

At least we have him for a year rather than on loan.  Definite improvement on last season.

Think this is it Dale unless someone leaves. Not sure that we want to get many more bodies in as we are looking pretty covered in all positions and do not want people to start getting annoyed as they cannot get a game. Need to put together a stable side out of this squad now and get them playing well together.

I certainly agree TT, have noticed a real reduction in the levels of vitriole in the last couple of weeks. Think we are officially entering the honeymoon period which will last until 4.45 on the 8th!

Agreed I do not think another striker is the way to go.  At least not until the ones we have had a chance to show how rubbish they are in League 1!!! From now on apart from a right back maybe would only want to see people coming in if others (Russell) leave.

It was not that long ago that he was scoring for fun and being linked with teams like Everton.  I see no reason why if he came to us and scored 30 that someone like Brum or Boro would not want to take a punt. I think he will end up somewhere decent or go to a smaller club and move on after recapturing his scoring form.

£25k a week is a lot of money (£1.3m a year) but he is a quality player worth at least £3m imo so think a club will take the risk in paying him that.  He will score goals in the champ or L1 and will be worth the money.  You could always sell him after a year and make a profit.

I would not mind seeing Gow back in some capacity (hopefully permanent) but think Gunn will have explored this option at the end of the season and the fact nothing has been mentioned of it probably means it is a no go.

One less game for us next year! Hope they survive, would be a tragedy to see a club disappear like this.

Would be a great signing for 400K as whilst I think Sheff paid over the odds for him at 2.5m he is a great prospect.

I think in his defence he has spent a lot of the last few years in the reserves which is not shown here.  No idea if he has scored in the reserves though. Cannot see what he has to offer us ahead of Cody or Marting or any of our youngsters.

Not sure about samba, he is 24 now and has never scored many goals.  Not sure what he has to offer us.

Sounds like he is a bit more optimistic on Maric than some were thinking then. Good news.
