1. 1-0, we''ll get battered but hold them out until late on, then conceed a silly goal.
2. Oli Johnson said on Facebook that City have rejected bids for him
3. Money talks again then, not only is he a convict, a cheat and an all round trouble causer, he''ll also jump ship for a few extra quid.   Stick him in the same band with Lee Hughes and Marlon King for me.
4. Great little video.   WLY had great technique, real good player. Loved his header against wolves in the play-offs!
5.
We made 6 changes between Wigan and Stoke and still matched an established Premiership team, I think that speaks to the depth of our squad more than the MK match.
5 of the Players that started at Wigan, started against MK. Aswell as our new signing Ayala and Simeon Jackson.   Thats 7 established players, plus a goalkeeper who doesnt have that much influence on the game, so against MK it could easily of been Ruddy ingoal so thats 8. A very strong side.   Drury will play League matches if Tierney gets injured.   Cant see Korey or Wilbs getting much Premier League football.   What I am trying to say is many of the players that got hammered by MK, could quite easily of started against Chelsea on Saturday.
6.
i doubt he''d sign for a club not in one of the European competitions
Like Cardiff?
7. Even when we doubled up on Moses, he still ripped us apart.   The knee jerk reaction continues, R.Martin is no longer good enough after ONE Premier League game and ONE Carling Cup game.   Get a grip
8. Are you for real? "so if you knew you could be inline for a place in the side on saturday would you go hell for leather chasing" YES, because if I didnt, I wouldnt play on Saturday!!!   After their terrible, not really trying, trying not to get injured performance, how many of last nights team will start on Saturday? Probably none now.   Had we won 5-0, Simeon got a hatrick, Fox ran it, R.Played a blinder, Surman had set a couple up, they''d be much more likly to start.
9. Wow, another one. Thanks for that.   I dont think anyone as complained about the defeat, just but the manner of it, with players that realistically could be playing Saturday against Chelsea
10. If its pretty obvious he knows his first team, why did he make 6 changes against Stoke?   There will never be a ''First 11'' we will have to adapt against every single team we play, hence the changes against Stoke.
11. I really am not bothered about going out of the Cup at all. But when I saw the line up, I thought ''thats quite a strong side'' Had it included players like Oli, Cody, Mcnamee and Hughes, then there would be no cause for concern.   But realistically it would be no suprise (it probably would now) had 6-7 of the players that started last night, started on Saturday.
12. Obviously failed to spot that my comment was sarcastic,   But it pretty much sums you up, not even knowing what day it is!
13. Last nights team was not a reserve team or a ''B'' team. 5 of the players that started last night, started our first Premier League game away at Wigan.   The rest of the team consisted of our new signing (Ayala), A young Norwich lad that has been impressive and a possible long term NCFC player (Smith) and a striker (Jackson) whos form and goals at the back end of the season got us over the line.    By no means was that was PL ''not bothered'' about the Carling Cup, he put out a side that should of brushed MK Dons aside. He put out a side of players who bar Smith and Wilbrham, are either players that could start on Saturday against Chelsea or players that are direct replacments should anyone come off injured on Saturday.
14.
as a total outsider, and not having a dog in this fight, i`ll give you my thoughts if i may. i obviously, haven`t seen as much of him as you boys and girls on here, but he looks an `old fashioned` player, a bit like andy carroll. a biggish, bustling forward, not the quickest, but does a job. i think he`s an "ok" player nothing more, his attempts to gain fouls may well work against him though, and he won`t score if he`s sat in the stand following numerous yellow cards. many of the defences in this league are not only bigger and stronger than anything he`ll have played against before, they`re quicker and far more skillful, and far better equipped to deal with his style of play. i don`t think he`ll get into double figures goal-wise, somewhere around 8 at a guess. in summary, i don`t rate him particularly highly, and whilst it`s true he may be a slow starter, i think he`ll struggle against the majority of prem. defences.
So he''s ''a bit like'' a £35 Million Pound Striker?
15. Lovejoy = Legend   Andy Goldstein and Max Rushton on the other hand...........
16. I hope he plays Pilkington and Bennett, get them some confidence.   Simeon and Chrissy up top.   Nice to see Drury and R.Martin back in.
17.

he''s not a centre forward.
After 9,800 posts I thought you might have learned something. Holt not a centre forward? Do me a favour.
Agreed, he is the most obvious ''Centre Forward'', I have ever seen.
18. 8''s, 9''s and 10''s........ Wow, we must have won easy today, oh wait.
19.

180 minutes of Premier League football and youve wrote him off, What a joke.   Didnt he start slowly last season, leading to ''is Grant Holt good enough for the Championship?'' Before going on to be the second top scorer in the Division?
I chose my words very carefully so as not to knock him but honestly just wanted to know people''s thoughts as to 1) Do you think he''ll cut it in the Premiership and score a decent amount of goals for a Premiership striker   2) Should he spend so much time on the wings when he should be in the box more. 3) Do we need another striker at the club in the same mould as Holt but with proven Premiership experience, just in case he struggles, or is injured ?? Seeem fair enough questions to me.
1) Do you think he''ll cut it in the Premiership and score a decent amount of goals for a Premiership striker     Nobody thought he would ''cut it'' last year in the Championship, its hardly worth debating after 180 minutes.   2) Should he spend so much time on the wings when he should be in the box more.   Im not too sure what your point is here, he often runs into the channels dragging a defender with him and making space for others, is that a negative?   3) Do we need another striker at the club in the same mould as Holt but with proven Premiership experience, just in case he struggles, or is injured ??   Steve Morison, Ok no Premiership experience, but he''s as strong and has the same pressence Holt as. He will be very good IMO - We have to prepare for the fact we might go down, and we need the players we go down with to come back up. Who would you suggest we signed, Heskey? Carew?

22. I''d say £100 is, I was pleased getting mine for £70
23. Its just about a medium, snug tight fit.
24.
''I got my Asiscs for £72 last week, Same seller had the away one too, that went for £78'' Ahh, so that was you?, i Bid on both at £70 right up until the last 20 minutes then lost connection. Couldn''t believe they hung around at that price so long. Hope they were in as good condition as they looked on Ebay
Sorry Congo! Yes, mine is in really good nick, also as the football league badges on.   I fancy the away one next!
