1.
Yeah I don''t see Huckerby playing for City again. He''s doing really well over here for our Quakes in San Jose and I''m very interested to see what he does after his contract is over this season.
Looking forward to following your progress again this season. Good luck and hope he stars again for you. Our loss is your gain.
 2.
What an utter legend! We should never have let him go, but it''s so good to see him achieving around the world, and completing his dream to play in the MLS.
He was and there will be more Hucks threads. " Huckerby At San Jose" section is where they will be.
 3.

The getting rid of Hucks for no better reason than the then manager having an inflated ego, will go down as one of the stupidest decisions ever made a manager of this club. GR managed to rip the heart out of  NCFC in the short time he was here and it has been left almost bleeding to death. It is going to take a long time to recover. The majority of players that are left are not good enough for us to survive in this league and if/when we do go down it is going to take an exceptional management team to bring us back again.
Too right. Disasterous decision. Will hucks play for us in Div 3 next year? Good way to top up his fitness for MLS.
Am hoping he will and don''t think it will be out of the question. The MLS season finishes in November and the way he played for them last season he would be more than capable in Div 3(1).
 4. Yes, it''s the watching that is the worst bit, but I have, along with many others, renewed for next year. Maybe it''s not so bad when you just hear it on the radio.

 6.
I seem to remember that Iwan got some dreadful stick in his first season. Going back further, Mark Bowen wasn''t exactly popular for a while after joining.
..and it''s not so long ago that Docherty was singled out as being useless and now he is club captain.
 7.
So the vast majority have their wish and it looks like Fotheringham has played his last game for us. Who are we all going to blame for the team''s poor performances next? I am not a Fotheringham fan and do feel we have better footballers in the Norwich side however this mob mentality that seems to have come in since premiership relegation is just ridiculous when it is clearly making the team we love''s performances worse at Carrow Road when our players should feel supported.
There is nothing more certain, someone will be singled out by those who are that way inclined.
 8.
I felt sorry for Fozzy to some extent, but the guy is supposed to be our leader, yet he has thrown in the towel. Yes, he''s had abuse, some of it undeserved, but that''s part of being a professional sportsman. A true captain would say "I''m going to prove you bastards wrong", not run away and hide and then come out with crap about "sacrificing " himself for the greater good. The sooner he goes, the better.
Would agree with that. It''s the initial constant abusing of one player that I regard as pathetic.
 9.
We are constantly telling ourselves (and being told by the club when the season ticket renewal wheels round again) what great fans we are, but the treatment of Mark Fotheringham by some fans seems to have been nothing but disgraceful. The man may not have lived up to expectations but he clearly has a passion for the club, and to hear and see him abused at the ground in the way that he has is really quite shocking and something we should be ashamed of. Now it has come to a point where he can''t play for us again because of these fans who give him terrible, personal abuse. One ''fan'' had particular fun during half time shouting dreadful things at Fotheringham as he was warming up to come on against Bristol City. We''d already gone a man down - how was this supposed to encourage him? Has it come to this? Our club captain has been ousted from because some fans can''t cope with him simply not being good enough? Does he really deserve some of the trash thrown his way? What happened to ''one for all and all for one'', especially considering where we are in the league. We may be congratulating ourselves on turning up every week but it''s a shameful day when our captain can''t play for the club because of some idiots who get a perverted joy from making his life a misery. None of us should count this as a particularly proud day in NCFC''s history.
Am afraid some fans have to have one particular player who they must verbally abuse, not long ago it was Docherty. They will no doubt find some other player to vent their frustrations on before the season is out. This is not peculiar to our club but am afraid some people are just like that.
 10.

and I make ''mooney'' our 54th loan signing this year
Where the hell did you get 54 loan signings from or have I been asleep   Archibald-Henville: Bertrand:  Kennedy: Koroma: Lupoli: Omozusi: Sibierski: Lita: Carney Gow Killen  Leijer Grounds Mooney Shacks Thats 15 and I''m sure I''ve missed a few but who are the 39 that I''ve missed????
Thought we were only allowed 14 in a season. There is a limit to number, does anyone know what it is?.
 11. Was it REALLY time for him to go? We all know his Fan relations & personal Skills weren''t the best, BUT would we be where we are now? Surely even Roeder wouldn''t have lost or drawn the last 5-6 games? DID the board panic sack him because of the lack of fans after at the FA cup Game against Charlton. WAS it two or three games too soon? IMO: I think it may have been a little too soon, ok Roeder was on his out with another two or three loses, and the team did rally behaind Gunn afterwards, BUT ... Gunn and Co don''t have the ability of Roeder and Co. And I''m wondering if Roeder was still here we may have been a few more points better off. We all know its not all Roeders fault we are where we are, its the board, the lack of cash etc ... What do you all think, would we have beaten any of the other teams with Roeder still at the helm, at least Cureton wouldn''t have come back! I''ve never wanted Gunn incharge, I wanted an Ince or similar, but I have got behind the boys at the games, it just seems such a mess now, and all too late. Cheers All Do we? Our current position is 90% Roeder''s fault. The board havent helped but they have made money available, Roeder chose to spend it on poor loans. The main reason we are where we are is because Roeder''s new defence consisted of 2 dinosaurs that are now history and a kid from Fulham who was completely out of his depth. Coupled with releasing Huckerby, not replacing Dion and in fact starting the season without a strike force for the Championship (what other manager would have played Cureton and Lupoli together). The best teams are born out of consistency. A consistent back four, a striker partnership that bonds and so on. Weve had none of this all season because of the revolving loan door and injury prone defenders. Are we in a better position player-wise than when Peter Grant left? When Grounds leaves after Wolves match we will have same keeper and back four. Croft : fotheringham: Russell and Cureton are still playing. Only Pattison; Clingan: Hoolahan and Cort are left of GR''s players plus Bertrand on loan. We have lost Dublin; Huckerby: Brown amongst others. Doesn''t look like much of an improvement and League position certainly isn''t.
 12.
There''s been a couple of moans lately that we got rid of Roeder too soon and he would get us out of this mess and would we be here had we not sacked him. I cant believe a few people are saying this. It is without doubt Roeder''s fault we are in this mess. Yes the board could have done more but they have spent money, its not millions but they have made money available, £490k on agent fee''s alone proves that. We brought in a lot of players, perms and loans. And this was all Roeder''s doing. The main reasons we are where are is because Roeder chose to dismantle the squad that went on a 13 match unbeaten run, and built a squad full of aging defenders and loans, and it couldnt put together 2 unbeaten games on the bounce let alone 13. No strike force, couldnt score until we signed Lita. Defence a shambles and the first choice CB''s last 3 months. These are crucial areas of the team and both have been appalling and the reason we are where we are. Add to that Hucks and Dion and thats your lot. Roeder messed us up big time. We are in a mess player-wise. Only Pattison; Clingan; Hoolahan and Cort are now left of our new heroes. Grounds goes back next week and Bertrand is only loanplayer left that GR brought in. Fotheringham may be on his way and we have players such as Killen, Carney and Leiger, who have hardly played a game all season. How many more loans can we get in?. Think we are allowed max of 14 in a season and we can''t be far off that. To fight a relegation battle with what we have left is a big ask. Yes GR did mess us up big-time and with an £8.5 M wage bill as well.
 13.
Clubs are the fans. They define the nature of the Club. They have a collective aspiration, tolerance and acceptance. Norwich supporters are loyal;  but they have allowed that loyalty to be spun and manipulated into blind and thoughtless obedience. They have allowed the Club to take the piss out of them! The supporters of Norwich have denied themselves choice and expression by allowing themselves into being marketed to contempt through season ticket sales. I don''t care if I never hear an idiot phone in caller justifying themselves with ''I''m a season ticket holder'' or ''24 - 25 thousand every week deserve better.'' You don''t deserve better and you deserve bugger all just for driving a few hours and spending your day watching Norwich City at another ground. You are having the long drawn out atritional death I warned you about years ago when it was time to wake the Club up by exercising your choice and telling Doncaster and Co to shove their marketing where the sun doesn''t shine. If you believe you have exercised your will by buying the ticket and turning up like a sheep then do not complain about where you find yourself now. For me, all you have done is given life blood to a regime to the detriment of fellow supporters. You just love the platitudes about how loyal you are; you just love singing ''have you ever seen a crowd'' to visiting fans before they take three points off us and you honestly think that you deserve something for your concession loaded collective attendance. Nothing shouts louder than a bank of empty seats. I have said this many times before. It is the short and sharp message that the people who run our Club truly understand. Other Clubs have done just this and do not get taken for granted. We sell out, overpay our players and fall into complacency. If Norwich are playing well and winning with passion in League One next season I will go and watch them. If they don''t inspire me to go I will not even consider bothering trying to buy a ticket. If there are 10000 seats up for grabs each game there is a genuine reason for players and management to actually try. I blame Roeder primarily, I know who others blame, but don''t pass the buck. Be honest and blame yourselves too if you have thoughtlessly fed the management consultant groomed media machine into thinking they could do what they liked without repercussions. If we lose the next two games I would love to hear Carrow Road is empty for the third. The players who have failed deserve to play in an empty stadium, the Directors deserve to look out on one; and why put yourselves through the agony? In particular, why would anyone bother to go to Portman Road? Don''t let anyone mock you, you have been mocked enough. Blame yourselves!
If you had written "we" instead of "you" and " ourselves" intead of " yourselves" then more acceptable.
 14.
With the exodus of decent players, I thought we may have learnt our lesson not to let quality go, to avail, off went Huck''s to America. Thanks Glenn.
and when you see what we have got left. New heroes?. It''s a joke and sickening.
 15. or are we better or worse than when Peter Grant left?. Marshall; Otsemobar, Shackell, Docherty,...........:Croft, Fotheringham, Cureton: With Russell and Drury all playing then along with Dublin and Huckerby. Roeders legacy was Hoolahan, Clingan and Cort, whilst Pattison can''t get in squad. Not a lot of improvement, is there?.
 16.
Being a Canary who has lived in Burnley for the last 18 years, I can tell you that right now morale at the Turf is pretty low. They have few wins since Christmas (despite a decent cup run). Chris Eagles is unlikely to start, but might come on late - he has a mystery chest complaint that he is undergoing tests for. Without him supplying Patterson with through balls there isnt much left for Patterson but to run about looking enthusiastic. I don''t feel totally positive about a win, but if the players can take their chances and not let themselves down with stupidly conceeded free kicks or penalties it could finish 2-1 or 3-1 to the Canaries. What is more likely is an early goal for us, then a sending off (Doherty or Russell) and 70 mins of playing deep and holding on, but failing and losing 2-1 to a goal conceeded in injury time.
Doesn''t take much nowadays for morale of fans to go down does it. Knowing what Burnley supporters are like, I bet they let the team know about it. You have raised my hopes.
 17.
"Losing two in  2 in 5 or 2 in 6 is better than losing 4 in 5 or 5 in 6" But winning 8 in three in 6 in four in 12 is better than losing 3 in 5 in 9 in eight in 24!
Is it?.
 18.

I''ve seen a lot of posts on here talking as if we are already down, we are not! As a supporter, I will not throw in the white flag when we have so many games to go. I also do not believe that the managment team will give up without a damn good fight, and we have to believe that their passion for the club permeates to the players. We can''t go down in February, but if the players have the same attitude as some on here we could be down by the end of March, and despite the losses they seem to have the best interests of the club at heart. I know effort isn''t the same as results, but hopefully we will get that bit of luck we need to convert performances into results, and then we can build for next season with a fresh start in the CHAMPIONSHIP.   On the ball City!
I basically agree with you, Patches, but there''s a big distinction between thinking we''re already down and fearing the worst. I don''t think that there''s a poster on here (other than Smudger) who won''t be rooting for the team until the very end, but I really can''t see where the points are coming from at present, given our total inability (unlike everyone around us ) to overturn ther form book, with the exception of the Wolves game. We''ll all hurt like hell if we go down, but it will hurt even more if we spend the next couple of months in denial about the situation. I really hope the players and our rookie manager prove me wrong.
I too fear for worst there is a big battle ahead and it''s all hands to the pump. The support we get at home and away is going to play part in keeping us up. In the end though it''s out there on the pitch where it matters, the football need not be pretty but it has to be effective.
 19. Hope he takes it, think he is talented and will be asset to club.
 20.

I  renewed  3  season  tickets  today  and  asked  the  lady  in  the  Mall  ticket  office  how  they  were  going. She  advised   that  11 000  had  gone  already, Given  that  there  are  still  10  days  to  the  deadline  and  results  have  been  so  poor  i  thought  that  was  quite  a  result
but people want to move seats and to do this you have to wait until after the 1st deadline so therefore they will not be high yet!
That''s not strictly true.  I renewed mine on the 1st day that we were able to, and I got moved straight away.  As well as 4 of my friends.
I did the same and was moved straight away.
 21.
Were 3rd from bottom last season we were dead bottom and your saying were in a worse position??
Probem is we had 42 points from 33 games last season and 45 points from 34 games and we only just made it. This season we have 32 points from 33 games.
 22.

how about letting the muppets know how badly they have run our club, i cant believe the modern day city fan, this board have destroyed this club but lets not upset them, god give me strength.
So why not go and find us a new board? That might do some good - a protest will only make things worse!
I don''t think things could get much worse tbh, if we go down we will most likely end up going into admin anyway. Might as well drive the clowns out and enable someone to buy the club for a quid. At least that way any money that would have been used to buy the current lot out could be spent on players instead.
The only way they will get much worse is if we are relegated and that might be a disaster for the future of the club. Will protests help or hinder this fight against relegation?. Everything needs to be done to make sure we stay in this division and protests in player earshots before or after match certainly won''t help.
 23. That''s the last thing we need. Team need full support more than ever now.
 24. Just hope that Plymouth don''t get new manager and that Ipswich win tonight, both would be a big help.
