1.
i am sure people had not heard of Jamie Vardy Before he went to Leicester We tried the expensive player and it did not work out this lad is worth a shot scoring goals just got a international cap he might be 3rd choice or even pushing for a place if he does well so why not wages would or should be within limits i think a few Fans think we can go out a buy players now we have 10 mil + in transfers well we can but they have to be inline with next seasons wage budget so that cuts players we can sign down to unknown players like this
But this is just paper talk.Isn''t it. Isn''t it? [:P]
 2. Towards the end of last season Webber had made comments, specifically when Jerome was playing, about strikers not being clinical enough. So I can see another striker coming in, but they''ll need to be able to play as a second striker in in a 433/343
 3. At 27, and being a defensive midfielder, wouldn''t be surprised if this was just agent talk. With Reed, Tettey and Godfrey on the books, would have thought we had plenty of defensive midfielders.
 4. Aside from Bundesliga 2, and I doubt there''s a lot of talent there, where do we buy from?Championship prices went crazy, largely thanks to Villa (Kodija, Hogan, McCormack) paying over the odds for some fairly average players. It''s hard to look at the French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch leagues as either they wouldn''t want to come here, or wouldn''t have the required physicality and get knocked off the ball too easily.
 5. John Percy''s reliable, he''s the guy that broke the story that Daniel Farke was our new coach, way before it was on anyone else''s radar.
 6.
We will no doubt hear the same old guff they''ve been trotting out for decades but we all know in our hearts that this is the start of a downward slide.
I''m renaming you Highland Ricardo [:P]
 7.
If Farke plays a 4-1-4-1 with Tettey the ''1'' between midfield and defence I think that could suit him very well - although as said before it looks pretty likely that Reed will take that role.
It''ll be interesting to see what Farke''s preferred formation is. He started with a 4-3-3 that reverted to a 4-1-4-1 without the ball against Cobh, I think Lowestoft was a 4-1-4-1, Stevenage was 3-4-3 and Cambridge had 3-4-3, and 3-5-2
 8. To think we signed him on a permanent deal to get Bamford in on loan
 9.
Alex is still in charge , no players have left and there''s a few quid to spend . I definitely wouldn''t , am excited what is going to happen and hope everyone gives Daniel their full support . Honestly think we''re going to be pleasantly surprised this season and enjoy what we see .
Could Alex Neil have worked with Webber though? Especially when Webber''s targeting the German leagues for experienced players. Phelan lasted 5 seconds working with him, and from Irvine''s tactics after he left, it looked like he didn''t listen to Irvine either. Alex Neil''s approach doesn''t exactly seem to be collaborative. At least we''ve got a clear approach and direction now, even if we have a smaller budget.
 10. Maybe he''s drunk? [:P]Depends a lot on what formation we end up playing, both Cambridge games had 3 centre backs, so maybe that''s the way Farke''s going.
 11. It''s interesting comparing him to Nathan Redmond. Redmond''s a year older, yet when we sold him last year he''d played 170 games at Championship/Premiership level by the age of 22, and had two seasons in the Premiership. So the 10-12 million we reportedly got for him was a pretty fair price. He couldn''t really go any further with us.Jacob''s had one season in the Championship, and is now 22, the same age as Redmond when he left. His late blooming makes it difficult to persuade him to get another year with us to develop further, especially when his England peers are playing premiership football. He''s clearly got more potential, and could end up be a £20-25 million player, but will he get the game time to do it?If it wasn''t for the crazy Premiership prices, £10 million arguably wouldn''t be a bad price. He''ll be off for £12-13 million and hopefully we can reinvest that in some serious quality.
 12.
a little reminder of the OP
Because it''s turned from a joke thread into fact?
 13. Even as cover, I can''t see Russell Martin playing right-back, so I''m expecting some young Premiership youth teamer to come in on loan.First choice is probably Pinto Klose Franke Husband, assuming Klose isn''t for the exit. It''d surprise me if Klose goes, as Franke and Zimmerman seem to be in his image.
 14.
i think it might be the young striker we had Trialling last night
If so, I''d be surprised Webber mentioned it at the meeting, at 20 it didn''t seem like he''d be near the first team squad this year.
 15.
i hope you all have a fantastic evening is True Grit taking questions in the break ??
Right after Tom Cavendish''s scouting report
 16. How the hell can a club with Premiership parachute payments afford him?
 17.
After the Brighton 5-0 debacle he said....... "Too many lads gave up, simple as that,” he said. “We keep being told we are Premier League players but that counts for nothing if you can’t fight and win battles." That was the Game after Ruddy''s Birthday party !!! Not Russell Martins finest hour !!
Are you implying our illustrious captain had one too many sherbets? [:P]
 18.
Might be a question for Thursday nights fans forum for those of you who are coming
But you''ll need to video it or JF won''t believe a word of it :P
 19.
This is what was said tho: Rob Butler: Just spoke to Farke. He says he wants Nelson to stay but understands every player has their price.
Dave Freezer wrote this on the Pinkun site."The Portuguese striker has been strongly linked with Reading in recent days but it is understood those reports are wide of the mark and City are not interested in selling the striker."So God knows what''s going on.
 20. Completely dismissed during the post match interview - we''re not interested in selling him.
 21.
i heard last season under AN that some players missed training turning up late etc some thought the were bigger than club moaning when not playing then missing training Lack of respect for the inexperienced AN i can honestly say Howson was not mentioned in that group once some have left one is still here there were some disrespectful players here i have never heard a bad word about Howson from any from the coaching staff or any other members of the board / staff
For the one still here I''d guess Klose. Doubt it''s Jerome after his interview after the Wednesday game. Jarvis is never off the treatment table. Maybe Naismith as a second choice.
 22.

Not really sure how I feel about this. It''s obviously one side of the story, and I''m not sure we needed Howson and Dorrans being thrown under the bus like that.I''m not really sure what he''s trying to achieve by it - that he really didn''t want Howson to go? When he''d already said we had to sell to buy?
Like you said we''ve only heard one side of the story, but if it''s true that we really did offer Howson a new and improved contract to keep him here, he''s clearly one of the players SW and DF didn''t want to lose. Which in itself implies that they deemed Howson able to play a role in the system we''ll be playing this season. It''s harsh but I don''t really have a problem with us releasing a statement like this even if it is painting Howson in a bad light - he''s not our player any more and the new guys in charge need to protect themselves and the club from discontent when possible.
Which is true, I suppose I''m so used to the usual saccharin-coated PR releases that are deliberately written to be as bland and inoffensive as possible. The only others things I can think of that compare to this was the Doomcaster fess up over the McKenzie/Cotterill debacle, and the Huckerby interview with Nigel Worthington "Don''t come to me at Christmas and tell me to buy Dean Ashton"(when the board decided he was too expensive in the summer). It just reminded me of my last boss, who always had to be right, always had to get the last word in, and didn''t realise how petty it made him look, when he was trying to justify himself over something everyone had already moved on from. I''m not saying Webber''s like him though.
