1. Whilst Jewell would be a great appointment, I can''t see him wanting to come in our present situation.
2. Well, I think the one thing you can guarantee is that we''re going to choose an experienced manager, or at least one that has achieved something elsewhere.
3.
Clubs with smaller fanbases such as Porstmouth, Middlesboro, Derby, Blackburn, even now Hull and QPR attract investers with ambtion, so why should the best fans in the country be sold short?
Porstmouth is solely down to Harry Redknapp, regardless what Manderic may thinkDerby will be bottom of the Premiership and back down next seasonBlackburn was Jack Walker, a local fanMiddlesborough was Steve Gibson, another local fan
4. Unless Peter Grant is being politely asked to take a more backroom role (vacant first team coach anyone?) I can''t understand the delay, as it makes the club look very weak.
5. I had Gary Megson through my checkout one Christmas Eve, he spent £150 on drinks.
6.
Yup - a stunning season, the culmination of several years of success for city - with thanks not just to Mike,  but Dave and Ken too.  Exciting attractive football played by talented youngsters who were hungry for success but knew the value of a team effort;  Shame the stars were sold from under us with the manager not seeing the cash and so having to invest in second rate replacements - hmm that is starting to ring a bell... So ultimately that boards prudence over ambition has lead us to where we are now [;)] All boards are the same
Well, Stringer didn''t help signing Blades, Beckford and Newman (for a combined fee over £2 million). Deehan had money, and pulled a similar stunt with Mike Sheron, Bradshaw and Milligan. The biggest mistake though was not replacing Gunn with an experienced keeper when he got injured. Andy Marshall simply wasn''t up to it and we plummeted.
7.
That''s quite a small amount for a Chief Executive.
Well, in most industries the performance ultimately stops with the chief executive, and if the company doesn''t perform well, then you''re out.
8. Well, good performance, but fortunate for McClaren that Lampard wasn''t t fit because he wouldn''t have had the guts to drop himInteresting point made about what Martin O''Neills coaching has done for Gareth Barry, especially since he was in the frame for the England job.
9. I can''t help feel that there are three main camps: the foreign nationals seeing ownership of a British team as a status symbol (eg Fayed), those who do it for the love of the game (eg Dave Whelan) and those purely out to make money (Glazier/Hicks etc).Sadly most of the new owners are there because of the lucrative TV deals and Champions League money, and ultimately it''s the common fan that will suffer. One fan has already taken Malcolm Glazier to court over the season ticket arrangements, and being forced to sign a blank cheque for the cup games. I heard someone had to pay £60 to see Spurs play. We will continue to see failing attendances in the Premiership and rising ticket costs. How on earth the Man City takeover was allowed to take place when the former Thai Prime Minister is being investigated on corruption charges makes the Premier League''s "Fit and Proper Person" test an absolute joke. I mean, what will it take for someone to fail it?

11.
i cant get the left Center Back.. i thought it Was Flemmo...but it aint...   jas :)
For a clue, both of the centre backs played 250+ games each for the club
12.
I thought Dave Striker was going to be first choice all season and score at least 15 goals? Not fearing that he may be injured, sitting in the reserves, not signed at all, or just simply utter c**p are you?
Remembering Iwan Roberts'' first season, unless the club make a great deal of effort to smooth over the transition, he''s bound to struggle in the first season.
13. From Grant''s comments last week, I think he''s still looking and I wouldn''t be suprised to see a few more signings this week
14. He''s got a year left on his contract, so I reckon Norwich think they''ve got a strong chance of getting him cheaper later on.
15. From Grant''s comments when he tried to sign Matthew Spring, I think he''s still looking for a creative midfielder since we never replaced Mulryne
16. Looks like the club has finally learned the troubles of signing injury-prone players, Emblen, Louis-Jean and Thorne to name three.
