1. Think the most annoying one is the away match at Doncaster, now a 7:45 ko on a Friday night. Due to a clash with a race meeting at Doncaster on the Saturday! Surely when the fixtures were compiled, if there was a problem Doncaster would have requested an away match!
 2.
Here''s the problem,  many fans can remember Lewis being tipped (by Gunn and others) to go the top, Prem standard.  Same as Green was.  Being sold for 400k feels like we''ve been robbed of a future star. Thats how it is.
I take your point T W. However you cannot place a value on future potential, you can only takes what is offered at the time. If we had retained Lewis'' services as 3rd choice keeper until his contract expired the chances of him signing a new one would have been remote. As under the age of 24 we would have been entitled to compensation and I doubt that would have been as much as 400k.
 3.
Oh dear! Lewis could be the next in a long line of players under different City managers and directors, that we''ve sold for considerably less than their true market value. There always seems to be this almighty rush to sell our talent as quickly as possible, so as to be grabbing the cash. I wonder if Glenn will admit to having made a mistake? I won''t hold my breath.
How is 400k considerably less than his true value at the time we sold him. He had not played for our 1st team, so 400k for a 3rd choice keeper is good money. Football is littered with people who have been released for little or no money and then gone onto great things and commanded huge fees.
 4. Thats the point, why listen to rumours, just wait for the facts to emerge!
 5.
Typical reply. You asked me a question and because its not the answer you want you scream abuse.Roeder has got rid of some decent people who had Norwich city in their blood and who will still be supporting the club long after Roeder has gone.If you believe he is ok thats fine but leave me to have an opinion. We have no players no medical staff  and no money and i listen to who we are going to sign. The bad times are on their way and the only thing that might have helped would have been some spirit but he got rid of that as well
Just to add my opinion here: 1) Am absolutely certain that Glenn Roeder is aware when the season starts and also the fact that he needs 11 players out on the pitch to do a job, plus players in reserve. 2) When the club were getting rid of the medical staff, no doubt they were not aware that Neal Reynolds was about to move to Arsenal. Also am certain the club will be aware they need to replace these people. 3) I am concerned too as to where this club is going, but I am prepared to give the benefit of the doubt, until proved otherwise that the Management of this club are doing the right things in terms of preparation for next season and beyond. You are entitled to your opposite opinions, however I am more inclined to go with somebody who has over 30 years experience of working for a football club. If come the start of the season we do not have 11 players on the pitch, 5 players on the subs bench and only a girl guide with a basic first aid badge, then yes we should panic!
 6. Would imagine they will have the initials MEG on the shirt. Would be better if he was a ''sir'' then it would be SMEG all over their shirts!
 7. Club 101, the original Prawn Sandwich Brigade! Used to sit just behind their allocation of 101 seats in the River End Upper as it was in those days 1989 - 1992. Members could never grasp each half would last at least 45 minutes. They consistently came out 5 minutes after the start of the first half, wandering slowly past people who wanted to see the whole game. Then with the clock on 40 minutes out they would trot. Spot on 50 minutes in they come again, getting in peoples way again, in those days we were worth watching too! 85 minutes, the bladders would be full again and it would be time to leave.
 8.
He sports a very weird haircut.....But, he don''t half make Chrissie J, ''Forced Laughter'' Posh Harry and Travel Flange chuckle, with his really funny jokes and innuendo......as for the listener''s.......? I think he''s a Z-list DJ and as much use as a honey-bee with hay-fever....
Spot on Mello, however I don''t think its a hair cut, I am certain its a wig.
 9. Was released in 1973 to celebrate promotion to the 1st division and sung by the aquad On the B side is a song called the Canaries Calypso, now that is cringeworthy, recorded by Chic Applin I too have the original 7" complete with the sleeve autographed by the title winning squad!
 10. Maybe there is a simpler answer to all ''the why Huckerby is not in the squad scenario?'' Huckerby is suffering from a well publicised hip injury. Since his injection he was involved at the Southampton and Cardiff away matches. My guess is those 2 games the team flew rather than travel by coach which would have been kinder on Huckerbys dodgy hip.
 11. The actual quote is here http://www.pinkun.com/content/ncfc/story.aspx?brand=PINKUNOnline&category=Norwich&tBrand=PINKUNOnline&tCategory=Norwich&itemid=NOED14%20Jan%202008%2010%3A36%3A11%3A070 where Glen states he HOPES to have 2 new players by the weekend, not that he will. Distinct difference, but some people like the negative side of the street I guess.
 12.
you cant cheer the team on as a steward and depending where abouts u are might spend a lot of time with ur back to the game.. its £30 a game though...   jas :)
Can assure you its not £ 30 a game as a Steward! Majority are on less than that!
 13. Terrible news. An absolute star and a true Canary Legend. Ironic we should be playing Coventry on Saturday the side we bought him from. Thoughts to his family & friends. RIP Graham, you will be sadly missed.
 14.
I would advise against it. It''s a personal message that is not for publication. As duty moderator, I will delete it.
Why will you delete it? The original letter to Mr Doncaster is personal and you have not deleted that, neither have you deleted when other posters have shown their replies from Neil Doncaster, so why now. I except moderating a site like this is not easy, but the main thing you should be is consistent in deletions.C''mn Archant you portray yourselves as the voice of the community, let the community speak.
 15.

Smith has brought us times we wished would never come to Carrow Road again.
You were saying that when we took the Championship by storm, were you?
Robert Chase brought us the great times we could not have dared to hope for before he made it happen.
And you were saying that when Robert Chase baled out and left the Club with (for that time) huge debts and little assets? "Football-minded" - as in having a round PVC head filled with nothing but compressed air. Is that you, Cluck?
Classic brainwashing of the naive OB.... If you consider one Division 2 Championship (which is all the PR spun "Championship is) in ten years is anything to write home about I suggest you and Smith deserve each other. Under previous regimes we have done that and much much more...not forgetting 3rd in the Prem, Cup Finals and Semis... and a memorable trip into Europe. Tagged onto this forgettable Smith inspired Div.2 spectacle...can we add a humiliating and pathetic Premier League season where we became the laughing stock of the nation? Again the brainwashed opinion on Chase who left the club in no worse state than it is now...and at least we had something special during his time in control. I believe the debt figure is £20+ currently under Smith and her puppets...somewhat more than under Chase and with a hopeless squad on the pitch...a second rate manager and no youth worth their wages. Short memories lead to irrational logic....and far too many have swallowed what the new "saviour" wanted you to believe...with the help of her resident PR guru Munby of course. Pull off the blinkers and see life as it is instead of accepting what you have been led to believe.
Short memories are what most people seem to have! I do not know the exact figures, but whatever the debt was left by Mr Chase it maybe comparable to todays £20m when factoring in inflation etc., Yes we had some Cup Semi-finals 2 to be exact and we had only had one previous to those in 1959. So 3 in 105 years, 2 of those in the space of 3 years and none for 15 years is hardly a dramatic decline in our fortunes. The ''Smith inspired Diivision 2 spectacle'' you refer to.. well we could also cite the Chase Division 2 spectacle, the Watling Division 2 spectacle, the Watling Division 3 South spectacle. Its all we have ever won! We all love our club and your passion Cluck et all has to be admired, but please put everything into context. When Chase was Chairman our attendaces were not that fantatstic, our income was not as great as those we were competing against albeit for a brief time. As well as Ambition with Prudence or whatever spin we want put on it. Lets have passion with perspective and realism.
 16. Woods & Watson 16th June 1985 Los Angeles USA 0 - 5 England For the record Dave Watson came on as sub for Kenny Sansom.
 17. Not a problem. I hoped you would have approached them directly. As I stated earlier, there is a problem and it does need rectifying sooner than later. I am not in favour of mass demos, but a well constructed, intelligently led campaign would be a better way forward. To watch the demise of this club has been painful. I do not know the answers, but all we can do is hope that a reversal of our fortunes, whether under a new board or not comes our way very soon.
 18.

There have been some brilliant replies to this thread , whilst some others have just been petty, personal, vindictive and wildly off subject!, but thats message board life for you I guess!. I see its branched out now to include a much wider spectrum of arguements, which, whilst interesting in itself, is drifting away from my original point, which in case you''ve forgotten, the NCFC board and its obsession with  prudence over ambtion. Smudger & Cluck, whether we like it or not, have been right all along in my opinion, we are in a mess!, and all because of this board. I accuse them, in particular Delia Smith, of miss-management, appointing the wrong manager, and worshiping the God called Prudence. And all this takes precident to ambition. Can we please just stick to that debate?, otherwse, they get off  Scott f ree..............hmm?...............maybe thats the plan. Branston: My apologies for wrongly having a dig at you, sorry for the slipup.
1st Wizard, your points you made in your original post are very well founded. But have you put the same points in a letter to the board? You may feel that they will go un-noticed and a nice cosy letter will be sent back. But if all people took the same effort and time to construct a sensible well founded argument to the board, they may take notice. Just a thought.
Ist Wizard, if I argued with you and said you were posting rubbish you would respond. I ask you again, have you written to the board. Or do you just post your thoughts on here to get a response because you do not have the balls, crystal or otherwise, to write to and question the people you are complaining, with some justification I may add, about?

 20. I have to say some of your points in this post are well put 1st wizard. I assume so that your points can be addressed by the people you have grievances with you have of course written to the Chairman and the board? Surely its more constructive to do that.
 21.
Just that little bit of extra money in Delia''s purse and a tiny bit more noise in the ground would of made all the difference, right???
Being a simple man, could you please explain Smudger how the money from gate receipts ends up in Delia''s Purse please? If you have read the accounts can you show me and tell me how the money is getting to Delia. I was under the assumption, possibly wrongly, that she did not take money out of the club. I look forward to your expaination. Thanks. Being simple I shall of course be right behind the team hoping that we win on Saturday and have a good run between now and the end of the season.
 22.
New manager comes in to a struggling side & inherits a very thin squad of players. A fair number of these players don''t want to be here & around half of the squad are out of contract in the summer. With less than half of the transfer window remaining, the club releases 5 players out on loan deals. We have the most prolific goal scorer in the division (148 goals in 229 league/cup starts, in his career to date) out injured until the end of the season. Quite clearly, (unless we sign 5 or 6 players over the next few days) we might as well accept that a lack of ambition & ''could''nt care less'' attitude has become prevelant within the club and that we should all start planning for life in league one. Oh no! - what am I doing?. By inferring criticism of Smith and her board I will be upsetting her worshipers. Heads out of sand & take stock of what is happening to our (once great) FOOTBALL CLUB. Who else is more than a little concerned?
Like all supporters I want to see this club move forward, not tread water or even regress. I just wondered what makes a club great? We have never won the top division in England, never won the FA Cup, never won a European trophy. Yes we had several seasons in the top flight of English football and qualified for Europe, played in 4 League Cup Finals. But putting it in perspective most of our history has been outside of the top flight.
 23.
Initially is it not on a loan basis?
Yes, but why let the truth get in the way of having a moan! It would completely destroy the enjoyment for many on this board!
