1. I always liked the snake pit getting Etherington sent off a few seasons back. Quality stuff! Made me laugh.
2. Bid of around £2m from Cardiff has been rejected according to reports, personally I''d love to see him in a Norwich shirt, but it would appear we have other striking targets to pursue.
3. I interpreted it as Roeder saying that other signings are virtually signed, sealed and delivered, as to how many signings this applies to, it''s anyones guess. I think (although I have no inside information/source) that we will see lots of movement on the transfer front over the next two weeks in particular. I''m not worried - yet!
4.
Sod off Docherty, your boring me.
Ha, don''t hold back Andy, say what you really feel! Great stuff.
5. I can''t believe we have bothered to wait around for a player who would at best, be merely a bench-warmer if we had any other half-decent central defenders. Tell him where to stick it!
6. Rather have the BBC coverage any day of the week over ITV and Andy Townsend, who by the way, has to be the single most annoying pundit alive, I mean jeez, he makes Gary Neville look interesting!!
7. I hope they put them both on TV this season!
8. Got to admit I''m a bit surprised to see that one happen - effective player at Championship level, but surely Pompey are after players that can compete in Europe?
9. There was an old boy called D-Dub Who was mostly used as a sub He took a whack And broke his back But remains a big part of the club .
10. I just want to say that I was wrong regarding Grant and the board.  We really are in dire, dire straits and it took last night for that to really hit home.  A board and manager that seem pleased with a home draw against a team like Scunny says it all really.  On other posts I shot you guys down for your opinions which i now regret.  I dont necessarily agree with the way that some of these opinions are put across, but I now agree with the thoughts behind them. Change at EVERY level of this club is needed and needed quickly to salvage our Championship status.  I dont blame Delia or MWJ, because i dont think they are deliberately ruining the club, however they have taken Norwich as far as they can and its now time to step aside. Same with Grant - sadly hes failed to deliver and is woefully out of his depth on this one. This isnt a pro Smudger or Cluck post its just a realisation that I was wrong and that I should now start to see what''s being going on in front of my very own eyes for way too long. So apologies guys and lets try and get this club sorted out. OTBC
11.

Grow up. It will solve nothing at this moment in time.
I''ll bet you held the same opinion when we were languishing in second place in this league in the ''dark days'' of the Chase era!. Just sit there with the other brainless morons who occupy the majority of seats at Carrow Road, wave at Queen Delia & behave yourself. ''Voices of descent WILL NOT BE TOLERATED'' (by order of the Board).
Erm correct me if I''m wrong here but shouldn''t that be dissent.  Unless voicing your opinion on a mountaineering expedition is also banned?  Come on Fram if you''re going to complain at least spell it out properly lad!!!
12. The voice of reason as ever TwoSheds. Not. Oh sorry for a minute there i thought you''d formed your own opnion but no silly me, you''ve simply reinforced your "close" friend Smudgers. Its people like you two that create the instability we have at NCFC now.  We''re becoming another Wolves always moaning and calling for the managers head.  Call yourselves fans? You''re a joke.
13. Heated BUT constructive debate I can handle and in most cases enjoy, as we all work towards a common cause.  But I''m afraid I draw the line at your continual moaning and cynicism.  You are a good for nothing wind-up merchant, nothing more nothing less. I read one post likening the situation to a terminal illness.  That person needs to get a grip and a little respect.  Old Boy has hit the nail absolutely on the head.  Dress it up how you will fool but at the end of the day a TRUE norwich fan (and not just an attention-seeking fake) would NEVER want their team to lose.  It simply doesn''t come into question. Period.
14. You are an absolute digrace to this club Smudger.  You dont deserve to call yourself a fan.  Oh and for any of his equally pathetic "sympathisers" I dont care how much he supposes to love the club or that it''s his opnion.  Frankly I''m sick of reading the negative tripe he spouts on an almost daily basis.  Oh and no I wont just ignore him or leave the messageboard because such terminally annoying posts and posters need to be told about it.  This isnt what a messageboard should be about.  Sort it out.
15. Delia and MWJ saved this club and I''m getting more than a little bit tired of people constantly berating them at every turn.  Yes we''ve had a dire start to the season, yes no-one should be happy about that but honestly trying to force them out - you''re clueless guys. It''s the current and crippling financial climate within todays not so beautiful game that has done for our clubs immediate fortunes and not Delia et al.  You guys want to get real and stop looking for a scapegoat to make everything alright again (which it won''t).  Just get behind the team, stop creating an atmosphere of tension and distrust and lets get this great club back to where it rightfully belongs.
16. Just a quick question.  I could be totally wrong here, but i could have sworn that i saw your picture and name in a magazine i was reading in the hairdressers and i just wanted to know if it is in fact you?  If i remember correctly it was an article on Ricky Gervais (i think anyway!).  By the way i recognised your face from the image on your username on pinkun, just in case you were thinking i dont even know this guy how does he know what i look like!  I could have been mistaken or maybe its a well known thing on here that you''re friends with him.  Just thought i''d ask anyway.
17. Well to be honest the performance didn''t exactly fill me with optimism for the rest of the season, but it''s a clean sheet and it''s a point at the end of the day.  Here''s how I would rate the players on today''s showing: - David Marshall - 7 - He didn''t really have much to do at all, he got down well to gather one shot and looked fairly comfortable and alert during crosses/corners.  However his kicking isn''t the best and will need to be worked on in my opinion.  Can''t score him higher because he didn''t make many saves (didn''t need to). Jon Otsemobor - 7 - I liked the attacking part of his game, he definitely looks more comfortable at coming forward than Colin ever was and put in at least two decent crosses after well-timed raids down the flank.  However he was caught out of position on a few occasions - allowing their striker to get in behind and cause problems, Shacks saved him at least twice with brilliant covering interceptions.  He is very quick and athletic and will be a good signing I''m sure. Gary Docherty - 6 - I''m not the Docs'' biggest fan and I thought he had a fairly average game to be honest.  I''m amazed that he doesn''t give more free-kicks away because he has hold of their striker every time the ball is played near him.  Looked fairly solid in the air.  Just too error-prone for my liking and looked clumsy in the clearance on a few occasions. Jason Shackell (c) MOM - 9 - Brilliant, captain''s performance from Shacks.  He held the line very well and probably barked out more orders in one match then Drury did in an entire season.  He was very strong in the air and is also surprisingly quick over twenty yards for a lad of his size.  He saved both Drury and in particular Semmy on numerous occasions.  He stood firm under constant pressure towards the end and I think he was definitely my man of the match. Adam Drury - 6 - Perhaps slightly harsh because he was, for the majority of the match, fairly solid at the back.  However, his distribution is woeful and has been for some time now.  Time and time again he would receive the ball and just lump it cross-field or down the line to no apparent target.  He was also caught out once or twice at the back and needed Shackell to help out.  I''ve seen him play better. Simon Lappin - 6 - A solid if unspectacular performance from the wee Scot.  He went close with a free-kick in the first half and tracked back fairly well to offer Drury support.  To me he seems a little lightweight for the Championship and I think he''ll be mainly a bench player when Hucks returns. Darel Russell - 7.5 - An energetic, solid performance from Rusty.  He''s well-built and adds a bit more bite to our midfield (if we needed more with the Le Juge!).  Never shirks a challenge and tracked back well at times.  Needs perhaps to get forward more but still a good performance.  Harshly booked for crunching yet fair tackle (albeit from behind!) and made some neat passes in midfield.  Doesn''t look quite match-fit yet and I''m sure there''s more to come. Julien Brellier - 7 - Again looked very solid and added a few tasty tackles into the mix.  Looks like he doesn''t take much crap and likes to play the simple pass after winning the ball back.  Slightly off match fitness but another good signing.  Had one shot from distance. Luke Chadwick - 7 - Didn''t exactly set the world alight to be honest.  Although he was one of the few Norwich players who would run at the Preston defence and caused them a few problems in patches.  Doesn''t mind a tough tackle now and then and looked committed throughout.  More to come (I hope!). Dion Dublin - 6.5 - Not one of the big man''s best games in a city shirt although at times his class still shone through.  I''m sure as the season progresses he will become more of an impact player from the bench.  Some good touches and always willing to work his arse off for the cause.  To be fair to him the service was mostly mediocre, just long balls hoofed in his and Chris Brown''s direction. Chris Brown - 7.5 - I''m a definite fan of Browny''s, he''s big, strong and is very good at holding the ball up - providing he has a chance of actually getting the ball in the first place, which given some of today''s service wasn''t all that often.  He'' fearless and is another that will run all day.  In the first half he was one of only a couple of players who would take the ball and run at Preston''s defense.  Very tricky to get the ball off him once he''s in full flow.  Promising stuff and I''m going to stick my neck out and say that he''ll be a success this season if given an extended run in the first team. Subs Lee Croft - 6 - Little if no impact, can''t seem to cross the ball even if he gets himself into a good position.  Has lost some weight though and I have faith that he can do a lot better. David Strihavka - 6.5 - Didn''t get the ball all that often to do much with it.  Some neat touches and he''s deceptively quick for a big lad. Mark Fotheringham - 6 - Not really on long enough to make much of in impression.  Again likes the simple pass from midfield, which isnt necessarily a bad thing All in all a well-earnt point and a clean-sheet to boot.  The best performers for me were Shacks and Rusty, with Brown also impressing.  What is clear though, is that without Hucks we lack and real pace or invention when going forward.  Maybe Cureton will add more to the mix and I can definitely see him and Brown working well together.  Defence looked solid under the captains watch.
18. I''m definitely in agreement with what''s been mentioned in your post Tartan.  I think with the exception of Cureton, all of our summer singings are relatively unproven at this level in this country.  I guess it''s a case of giving them a go and seeing if it works out.  But in the mean time, further additions to the squad are needed, particularly in centre defense and midfield.
19. That''s a bit of an insult to be honest.  The fans wholehearted support wasnt enough last season or the season before that.  In all honesty this season will be won or lost on the pitch and not in the stands.  I accept that the fans do have a role to play and I realise that Drury is just doing his job as skipper to say that, but really, it''s the eleven men wearing yellow come 3 o''clock on a Saturday afternoon that will decide the outcome of this and any season for NCFC.
20. As far as I know the club are still waiting for the initial injury to die down a bit, so that further tests can be carried out and a more thorough assessment made.  It''s not a break though which is one positive.
21. I think we''re very unlucky and also i think it might have something to do with the fact that footballers nowadays are almost treated more like athletes than they are sports stars.  The training is more intensive and specific, thus the room for more injuries to appear increases.  It stands to reason that the more complicated a process becomes, the more scope then exists for problems to creep in.
22.
I have to say I''m very impressed by the way Grant, Duffy, and Gunny have handled the transfers over the summer. I know we maybe missed out on a couple, but I don''t want playershere who''s heart isn''t in it anyway. I believe Granty is trying to get a squad together who want to play for him as a manager, for the rest of the team and for the club as a whole. Team spirit can take you far and win things and we obviously can''t compete financially with some of the richer clubs in the championship anymore (please don''t make this into another debate about the board and where all the money has gone, thats been discussed enough on here and i think we know most peoples opinion on that issue!) , but there are probably gonna be a couple more signings between now and August and I for one can''t wait!  Lastly an appeal: Let''s ALL get behind the team and join in with the singing and chanting next year not just the lower barclay D and E and the Snakepit! COME ON CITY!!!
I really couldn''t agree more with this post.  I think we have a good man at the helm in Granty.  He shows the passion and enthusiasm that we need to get ourselves back up where we belong.  He''s sorting through our inadequate squad, cutting down the dead wood and bringing in a mixture of youthfullness and experience, together with some much needed continental flair.  I too think its absolutely vital that ALL the fans get behind both the team and the gaffer.  I really couldnt care less what a few attention-seeking posters on this forum think and I think it''s about time they showed a bit more maturity regarding certain issues.
23. As one of the so called "younger generation" of Norwich fans I''d just like to say that I think it''s a brilliant idea and I would certainly look forward to reading about some of the characters / memories from this great clubs'' history.
24. I can see that the arrangment could be mutually beneficial, but that''s where my objection arises.  Anything that benefits that dreadful club and its even more dreadful fans cant be good.
25. God how we could really do with someone like him in our softy, softy team today.
