1. I wish to respond with a forthright, categorical, unequivocal affirmative. Champions by 5+ points! Like taking candy from the proverbial baby, a walk in the park no less!
2. If the club could lose Doc''s remaining 13 stone of flab we could be in with a shout!
3. Hmmmm I''ve been away for a while so I''m a little surprised at the present mind set on these boards - people have started to suggest that Wiz has started to talk b@llocks well I disagree strongly and would like to state - he''s always talked b@llocks!
4. On the face of it, it does look like Megson has the better deal - although Holt isn''t good enough for the Prem, N Forest are 2 years at least away from the Prem and Holt will be gone by then. We have inherited a player also not good enough for the Prem and possibly not good enough for the Championship, hhmmmmmmm perhaps we should have taken 50k for Holt and looked elsewhere? But football is a funny old game perhaps we have got ourselves a gem and me and 20,000 Forest fans don''t know it yet!
5. The 3rd team do have an advantage to a certain extent in that they get to play the team in 6th position in the semi final, who are supposedly the weakest team of the 4
6. Some varied predictions rolling in, some optimistic, some pessimistic but that''s what it''s all about - differences of opinions, some of us will end up with some serious egg on our faces come May 06, but who cares? so with that in mind, time to throw something else into the mixer - how many individual teams will there be between Norwich and ipswich [or vice versa for the pessimists amongst us] I go for 7 teams between Norwich and ipswich - Norwich Champions and ipswich 9th
7. I''m not sure what all the pessimism is all about guys? - our defence and midfield will be strengthened over the next few weeks and a forward line of Hux, Deano, and Mac with a probable right winger added to that forward line is a scary, scary prospect for any team/manager in this division. If Norwich average 2 goals a game, with 3 against Ipswich, home and away - that''s 90 goals before we talk about cup games, our cup games will end in tears as always but I expect us to bag 10+ goals against minnows in the early rounds = 100 + goals in all competitions. Norwich''s big 3 will score goals for fun and I''m prepared to give a prediction of 68 goals just for those 3 players alone [many of you disagree but what''s your prediction?] A season before last we had the tightest defence in this league and now with Shaks, Dury, Flem and Hellboy, plus additions - why expect anything to be much worse? With our present forward line, which looks awesome, plus the unknown additions, I really expect us to kick 22 sorry @rsed teams into stratospherical oblivion, I really do!! Ok that bit sounds over the top but I fully expect us to win this league by 5 points, as already mentioned. Come on guys! never mind telling me I''m wrong - how can a prediction be wrong until you know the result? - so come on lets be having you, where are you, where are your predictions?
8. Ok folks, things are a bit slow this time of year, so time to liven things up with a prediction or two [I''ve been away for several weeks so hope this hasn''t been discussed before] anyway I''m going to start the ball rolling with a prediction of immense optimism, which is all quite normal for me during mid June - I predict a combination of Hux, Deano and Mac will score 68 goals between the 3 of them in all competitions [even if one or more are playing for different clubs but I''m obviously counting on them playing for us]We will score 100+ goals as a team in all competitionsWe will finish Champions by at least 5 pointsCome on now don''t be shy, lets dig this thread up again in May 06 and see who was closest with the above 3 predictions
9. I think he''ll do very well next year, the championship will suit him, so I expect him to take this league by storm
10. He''s 31 and would be an excellent addition to our midfield for the next 2 seasons
11. Sorry if I''m out of tune with everyone else but Mulryne has to be one of the most over rated players for over a decade. He was over weight, over rated and lacked any real effort or commitment, he scored a couple of decent goals in the 5 years his been pulling big wages but that''s pretty much it.
12. No I don''t like the new one that much, I''ll stick with the old one until the next new one comes along.
13. Isn''t the Norfolk term - Rum''un, as in - "noow thaas ah rum''un" meaning something is strange?
14. OK Two Sheds you obviously like eating burgers and chips yourself nothing wrong with that if you are an average guy in the street but let''s face it - do you think real athletes like Lynford Christie, Steve Redgrave [In their day], Dennis Bergkamp etc etc would eat Big Mac and Chips on a daily basis. And I''m sorry, but never mind keeping your weight down by doing extra exercise - a cr@p diet is a cr@p diet, end of story.
15.
yes, mulryne ate mcds, but so do all the squad, at least all of last seasons players how do i know? my son used to work in the tuckswood branch, and they all came in after training so now you know...
I stay away from eating McDonalds myself because I don''t believe in eating cr@p food, if half the team really eat that is it any wonder relegation beckons?
16. "The teams that are interested in me know what I am about, they have seen what I can do in the past and it''s not really a big deal." OK Phil, they know you miss important penalties and eat doughnuts and Big Macs and you''re probably right - it isn''t a big meal, I mean deal
17. It''s never over until it''s over but relegation does look a pretty sure bet, so with that in mind - I''d like to be the first to make the prediction that Deano and Mac will both score 20+ next season.
18. Not sure why it didn''t sell? it was super fast and never broke down, perhaps it''s because it always pulled to the left and only had one wing!
19. I hope she gets a good reception on Saturday, I love her to bits and I''m only surprised by the amount of grief she''s received from our own supporters, after all when was showing how passionate you feel about your club amongst fellow supporters ever a crime? where I live everyone thinks she''s dynamite which has dismayed me even more, especially when I read negative posts written by fellow Norwich Supporters.
20. Considering she paid for the pitch I guess that gives her a good enough reason to walk on it! As far as I''m concerned, anybody willing to pay 650 k for our next pitch is also entitled to walk on it at half time and tell the world how passionately they feel about their club
21. Sorry to disappoint but I watched this game in a bar many miles from home with several other football fans, including two Citeh fans and they both remarked how on the telly at least, only the song "Blue Moon" could be heard especially after Man City scored their first Goal.
22. Do some of you think you might be overdoing the wounded/offended supporter bit? come on folks let''s get real here, at the very worst she''s put a smile on peoples face not murdered anybody!
23. Aren''t we all over doing the wounded supporter bit?
24.
Let''s hope she''s paying (at least double) for the seat in the Barclay
Well if she sits beside you in the Barclay, you had better sing because I hear she''s going to wear some @rse kicking boots this time - good on her!
25. I for one didn''t need the official explanation, I knew where Delia was coming from and as I said before - she''s one of us and you just have to love her!
