  1. Sorry, yes my mistake, 4 from draws, but Burnley and Newcastle have got 9 and 8 points from draws. We are only 2 wins fewer than Southampton and crystal palace, if we had turned a couple of our close loses into draws then we would be put of the relegation zone and I would say (though am happy to be corrected) that there have been more close loses that we deserved a point from than dominant draws we could have turned into wins...
  2. Our problem hasn't been getting points from wins, it's only having 1 point from draws...
  3. Just playing devil's advocate here, but, for those saying we should roll the dice and try to buy someone, you're advocating gambling x million pounds that the one or two people will help us stay up. Why is that a better option than rolling the dice and gambling that the players we have already got who are coming back from injury and have now had a chance to aclimatise to the team and the league won't be able to keep us up? Any new players will need a.settling in period which is going to potentially mean one step backwards for hopefully 2 forwards or we sign them and then don't play them for a month by which the.the current crop would have either done enough to show we still have hope or left us to far adrift for a new signing to make a tangible difference... As i posted in another thread, our form over the last ten games is enough to see us staying up, add to that players coming back and we should have a much stronger second half of the season. Will it be enough? I don't know, but, if we stick with the players we have it won't be the end of the world...
  4. The keyboard player from the fookin charlatans?
  5. Come on, I know you like your hyperbole, but, it even says in that article that they're the first team in 88 years since Chester did it in 33-34... Still an incredible achievement mind.
  6. Nice to see you're being positive today... Since Dean Smith took over there are actually 4 teams worse than us and 2 that are as bad as us (on total points scored, on a PPG basis Leicester are far better). Granted we started from a lower base, but at the current rate we would stay up... 10 Southampton 11 3 4 4 16:21 -5 13 11 Crystal Palace 11 3 3 5 17:17 0 12 12 Brighton 10 2 6 2 10:10 0 12 13 Leeds 10 3 3 4 14:22 -8 12 14 Leicester 8 3 2 3 16:16 0 11 15 Brentford 11 3 2 6 12:21 -9 11 16 Norwich 11 3 2 6 7:20 -13 11 17 Newcastle 10 1 5 4 9:20 -11 8 18 Everton 9 1 2 6 8:18 -10 5 19 Burnley 7 0 4 3 6:11 -5 4 20 Watford 9 1 1 7 11:19 -8 4
  7. That's nothing, I have a Jeremy beedle watch, one big hand, one little...
  8. Damned straight, they even say in their statement it's because of covid AND injuries. Much like arsenal at the weekend they are taking the ****, clubs have u23s for a reason, they should have to fill their squad with them like we had to the other year...
  9. No, we just had our new team could of seasons almost a decade ago, since then we've yo-yoed
  10. I think Brentford could go on a massive run of losses if they get nowt in the next 3 or 4. They may even struggle to reach 30-35 points (here's hoping)
  11. But they've spent half a billion pounds since 2017, how can any fans want them sacked? I thought people just wanted owners to spend lots of money?
  12. Beating Everton's going to relegate us 😉
  13. Those figures are obviously bollox. No premier League team is only paying £12m pa. I would be surprised if.any championship team have a wage bill of only £12m pa! To put it into context, £12m shared.evenly.across a squad of 20 players would be £12.5k PW each and the thing about averages is that half of them will be getting more than that and half of them less... And that's only allowing for 20 players on the payroll, Brentford have a whole b team as well!
  14. You're right, didn't recognise him in that getup and doing further proper research (cos it was bugging me), found out the guitarist was actually played be jeremy sightings...
  15. Young? He didn't age well.... Though doing a bit of googling, turns out it could be Neil hannon, the keyboardist from Divine comedy wrote the music for league of gentleman and it looks like he might be the one on the drums....
  16. same for me, but, I do still have my dole scum shirt from going to see them at the wulfren hall in my (first year?) At uni...
  17. Yes it is, but I wouldn't say it was taking advantage, the players invariably will get a chance to train at better facilities and with better coaches and players than they ever otherwise would.
  18. I know, the wolf looks pretty stupid whilst it's trying to catch the small bits flying around out of its reach....
  19. They don't have to make it at Norwich for it to be worth doing, loan fees and the "option to buy" will probably more than cover our outlay on them. It might not be what we as fans want, but it makes sense from a business perspective...
  20. Was just typing similar. It will come down to purely money in the champs as well as the prem, the championship still won't become a better competition, just the teams yo-yoing will change to those with wealthy backers...
  21. And only one of them looks old enough to remember what a proper protest against the board looks like. We need Tilly to get them round the fireside and tell them his war stories 😁
