1. Waghorn reckons the deal will be worth 500k. With that number being considerably lower than the 1m reported earlier in the summer you would hope someone is coming as part of the deal. Either that or someone in the press was a bit over enthusiastic with their numbers previously.
2. I believe there''s a 1 week gap between when the transfer window closes and when ''emergency'' loans can be made. This may have changed now, but that was certainly the case last season.
3.
didn`t jim duffy sign hartson ?
No, the Hartson deal was in the pipeline before Grant left. He only turned up 3 days later.
4. The cash in question is likely to be 500k, according to Waghorn. I guess that 1m bid earlier this summer was just paper talk. Unless we''ve tried some kind of reverse negotiation techniques where the price goes downwards. Maybe one of those ''lowest bid wins'' things?
5.
To be fair they did say on R5 that he looked as if he was carrying his injury and perhaps 80% fit, but it does make all those goings on at Binners look even more odd; they didn''t need a medical to know he was injured as we all knew, they then don''t sign him as he''ll be out for more than a month, and then he plays within 2 weeks...
Seems to confirm suspicions that no deal could be made. Perhaps Magillton will think otherwise before mouthing off about a player signing before they put pen to paper in future, must be a bit embarrasing for him.
6. He likes saying that a lot though. Admittedly the "don''t believe what you read in the papers" line hasn''t been in his repertoire lately, but he likes using it. In any case, I believe he''s referring to reports that we don''t have the money to finance the move. Reliable sources on here (and Roeder himself) suggest that isn''t the problem. But there is still a problem, and that''s prising him away from Rosenborg''s cold dead hands.
7. They''ve (allegedly) paid 3m for him too. How are we supposed to compete now if that''s all you get for your 3m?
8. Come off it, you know that if we''d just got Doncaster to enquire on Iversen''s availability, and then said "Oh, ok then" and shuffled off when they inevitably turned us down people would be up in arms on here. Cries of lack of ambition for not trying hard enough to get our man. The Shackell situation isn''t really comparable. We haven''t (to the best of anyone''s knowledge) made a promise to him that he can up sticks if anyone makes an offer for him. I admire Rosenborg for trying to keep hold of their star player. They''ve done a hell of much better go at it than we have in the past. But this just smacks of complaining for the sake of it.
9.
because he was on wages which his ability didn''t reflect. he was still a great player, but he wasn''t great enough to still get those premiership wages. i think if we''d offered him a new contract we''d have ended up in a bidding war with rich US clubs which we couldn''t afford to do. For one thing it would have been unsettling to Glenn''s rebuilding.
If you look at the official player wages figures for Hucks in MLS (they are published) you will see that competing against ''rich US clubs'' wasn''t the problem. He''s on a pittance over there, relatively speaking.
10. FFS, he points out one players mistakes in one game and suddenly he''s ''Son of Grant''. Get a grip.
11. Just fyi James, the first two callers are from after the Blackpool game. So our loanees didn''t save us that day, and QPR did lose 3 - 0 last week... I''d like to vote for caller 2, purely because the people who keep phoning up and alluding to the fact that "money isn''t the answer" (which she actually says at one point) seem to be stuck in another era. Yes, it might not stop the likes of QPR losing 3-0, but as Neil says, it gives you a chance.
12. Whats the difference between that article and this one? http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com/full_article.asp?i=3982&w=25&a=0&part=0
13.

Surprised he hasn''t been rumoured this summer then. He could join our rumour "Hall of Fame". Current occupants include: Carl Cort, Derek Riorden, Linvoy Primus and Ameobi.
What, no Calum Davenport?
Ah yes. I knew there was one I was forgetting.

15. True, but at least his posts are a little more entertaining that your typical "i soar shola wiv glenn this arvo" type rumours. Sounds like Mink is trying to be Dr Seuss.
16. Seems like they might get him on loan, after the transfer deadline.
17. It wasn''t Lawro who came to this conclusion, it was some survey. Here it is: http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/content/news/story.aspx?brand=ENOnline&category=News&tBrand=ENOnline&tCategory=news&itemid=NOED19%20Aug%202008%2011%3A53%3A41%3A237
18. I think your mate is winding you up. "Crazy cook" indeed...
19. He said ages ago that he wouldn''t be coming back until the Wolves game in October.
20.
I was not going to post this but I thought about it yesterday and thought I will. The following is 100% true, on my mothers life. After Saturdays game I met up with Michael Wynn Jones having his after match ciggie outside the main entrance. He told me something which he said he does not mind if I "Tell everyone" I said I wouldnt but he said "Please do, I want you to". 1 Peter Cullum never once has actually made any offer for NCFC. 2 The "Meeting" between Michael,Delia and Cullum never took place. The only time Michael Wyyn   Jones has ever met Peter Cullum was in October last year when Cullum wanted his wife to meet Delia. Very interesting I thought. Whatever you all think of Delia and Michael I feel that they are getting stick for turning down an "offer" which was never made. That is not fair. Like I said, this is 100% genuine, I await your responses.
Vern, are you The Man In The Stands? He''s more or less said the same thing in his latest column. Only, according to him, MWJ said the meeting did take place, but it was just a phone conversation between Cullum and another board member. http://new.pinkun.com/content/columns/ManStands.aspx
21. Some people seem to have taken the 8k wage cap thing as gospel, even though it was presented as another rumour by one person, much like this one. Whilst I''m not really interested in what my cousins earn, since they''re all in regular jobs, I might just be interested if one was a professional footballer, earning a professional footballers wage.
22. On a more factual note, Shola was knowhere to be seen at Old Trafford this afternoon. Perhaps he''s in Suffolk already?
23. First things first, the Wiki thing is a windup. Who exactly do you think has gone on there and written that? Munby himself. Secondly, Hasselbaink himself has (allegedly) said he isn''t signing. Whilst it''s true he could be lying, I suspect in this case he isn''t.
24. Somehow I think we''d of heard about it on here before now if Shola was wandering around the ground at half time.
25. Canary Caller spoke to him, he said he isn''t signing (thank god).
