I gave up my season ticket because of the cost , and the year after I went to work abroad for the first time so would have given it up then anyway. There is absolutely no chance of repeating that success with this current crop of players. The difference was they worked for each other and because of where they came from, most from German lower leagues, they wanted it more because of the chance they’d been given. Not many of the current squad have that fire in their belly do they? Yes, we could be in the EPL or league one in 3 years, who knows, you totally overlook the point though, which other club drags out a takeover in this manner? It will be 3 years plus the 18 months since MA first came on board so 4 1/2 years. That is not normal however you try and spin it. In fact, we are very lucky that MA is sticking around that long, if indeed he does, because most people would say **** it and walk away. It’s just another example of the current owners reluctance to let go.

The root cause of the troubles is Smith and Jones and the way they allow this club to be run. If ever there was a time to hand full control to Attanasio it’s now but no, they are here for another three years allegedly, allowing Webber and his Mrs to make things worse day by day. No other club in the country is run in the way we are by these two, still stuck in the past. But they get away with it because so many people blame Webber and Wagner, when in truth it’s those at the top who have caused this. If, as they try and tell us regularly, they truly love the club they would do the only thing that’s right and step aside now, sadly they won’t though.

I don’t get how Wagner so often picks someone or uses them as a sub then the next game that player doesn’t even make the squad. It gets more bizarre by the game. 3games ago McCallum started, not made last 2 squads, Springett first sub Saturday not in squad tonight, yet the back four has conceded joint most goals but same 2 centre backs picked every game along with Stacey!
