  1. Really ? I doubt. The club would have some very unhappy players were we to bock a possibly lucrative move for them, instead requiring them to play Championship football, on a Championship contract. Roe, Sara and probably Sainz may be wanted by a higher club, but not Sargeant. As good as he has been he is not PL quality
  2. Unless the rest of us were to take along a voice recorder thing, I doubt any would have the recall you manage, Ricky. Wherever 5pm on Saturday finds you just remember you are in a far better place than Carrow Road among 25,00 others going delirious, as not only do we as good as make the play-offs but overhaul WBA as well. You are better away from all that raucous behaviour Otherwise, enjoy your break😎
  3. 5th Round tie - Weds won 1-0 16th Feb 1935 The problem was the crowds averaged about 12/14,000 at the time - but saw 25000 turn up for that game. "Some secondary sources have suggested that it was felt as early as March 1926 that Norwich City should move on and leave the Nest. According to Ted Bell, there was a proposal that that year that a new ground should be built at Highland Road near Christchurch Road in Norwich. Bell said that the ground would hold 27,000. The club surveyed plots at St James’ Hollow and Barrack Street. Boundary Park was the favourite site at the time. "
  4. Let Hull beat them heavily, meaning the binners could be heading to the lottery of the play offs. Ideally a draw which would then farcup both of them - and we wouldn't have to live with the possibility of them getting promoted automatically and them forever bleating how we only made the play-offs by their help. Idiotic I know, but they do tend to cling onto misinformation and that 'glorious history' guff Nope. If we can't pick up one win v Swansea or Brum, then what chance would we have in the play-offs ?
  5. Long sold ?. No, he's here for another year. The first choice bench warmer/cover. The question is covering for who. Gunn has been magnificent for us however the thought will be had he not been injured we may have picked up a couple or so extra points meaning we would already be in the playoffs. However he has year left on his contract, and although he is very much a Norwich lad, I suspect he will be tempted if the offer is right to head to the PL, probably to one of the top eight or so. Reyes will not be sat on the bench, as I suggest he has been lined up to replace Gunn, so needs to be out playing games. As to Mair and McCracken its not so much their departure will happen because we have too many keepers, but that they are not looking to make it to the required level. However their age is with them. Keepers are often late developers. And I can't see why we need the keepers at a game. Have Barden or Reyes on emergency cover while out on loan
  6. Yes, if only there was somewhere he could 'get up to speed. A place all the others use. A training ground perhaps. However he has had plenty of time as have the coaches which suggest that he might be a 'disruptive force' (as elsewhere in this thread) might have some truth in it, and his minimal time on the pitch is merely to fulfil dome contractual obligation. The thought is you don't break up a winning team, as is now - but surely when Barnes comes off Syd would be thought the natural replacement. All very odd.
  7. eh ? A draw would mean Hull only being able to reach 73 points, same as Coventry A win for either keeps the possibility of one reaching 75 points My thought is that we already have enough points, Yesterday's results saw Hull (and Coventry's) seasonal average drop to 70.5. That has been the figure for sixth place, give or take a point, since the turn of the year.
  8. oops, wrong clip - don't post after a long lunch might be the thought however I'm not the only one full of bitter it would seem (Nelsons Revenge, in my case) otherwise normal service is restored, in more ways than one some might think do enjoy, if you are able 😜
  9. Earliest might be this Sat Depends on if we want to overhaul WBA I'm sure a few will be monitored/rested, Sargeant, Rowe, Nunez, Duffy Mostly it will be a game at a time, see how the players are Unfortunately due to the intense pressure of games and training players are suffering far more injuries*, that's why there has been a move to allow 5 subs * Gibbs
  10. Rather odd vid - from a PNE view
  11. As long as we are in the PL, I don't give a **** who is there with us
  12. A loan is to the end o the season, which suggests that the season is not over until the play-offs are over which would mean we cannot recall Kamara to play for us even though Pompeys league games have finished
  13. Sam is not a left back, i anything he is a left winger. With someone solid behind him, he has great potential, without the need to keep an eye on marking his man. This is becoming more obvious as others (above) have noted. However at the moment it's a case of needs must - Gino out. Hopefully he will sign a new contract and be played further forward next season.
  14. Whereas those at the top, this weekend lost to teams 'who had little to play for'. We need one win from our last three games, so if we fail (as v Weds) I doubt we will lose all three. I don't see Hull winning their remaining four as many on here believe. It's a case of probability over mathematically. If Hull only win three of those four, and we win one of our three its us in 6th. The question though is what points WBA will finish on and will out current form see us overhaul them ?
  15. eh ? Gino is out of contract,so we have no requirement to meet any demands, as with Gibson. I doubt either will be offered the same PL contract they enjoyed with us. Gino may be offered a better deal in Europe, but I doubt Gibson will find any better in the Championship. It is down to us whether we see either as part of our plans, which if we are in the Championship is unlikely.
  16. So that's he play offs sorted Dassnacht, Lungi, Gino and Hanley should be back/fit by then - the only fear is losing a player or two to injury Any of McLean, Sara. or Sainz would hit us hard, as with Gunn
  17. What's needed is one point more than seventh, which is looking likely to be Hull. And I cannot see them winning all of their remaining four games. So at best they will finish on 74 points - so one more win. The question is how many points will WBA finish on - and does it matter 6th or 5th ? What does matter is that we continue this form. We are not dropping into the play-offs on current form (failing) we are storming in, so it matters little which one we play in the semi finals
  18. Not his decision. Mumba was seen as surplus to needs. His disciplinary record this season may have been a factor
  19. QPR, We did not 'take'................... as there are loads of canaries living in London and the surrounding counties Not so many 'oop north' I would venture attendance 16,322
  20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Maj9cOi4Jyk and Duffy adds his tuppence worth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L-OOrAXBls
  21. My point was signing Sara from Norwich. I made no mention or comment on any players being signed from Brazil. Do keep up. laddie 😊
