  1. Some bizarre thoughts on here. That we could sell Krul. The finances alone make that absurd. And we would then have to sign a good keeper to.....err, sit on the bench. Aarons will have to go unless he is prepared to sign for a low non PL contract. We have to be mindful that anyone signed or given a new contract running after next summer could well have to be funded by a Championship budget. That will be the over riding determinate of who stays and who goes, and who joins.
  2. It is often forgotten by the Wailers that were Webber to be as infallible as he is expected to be. He would not be here. He is not the Messiah. But neither is he a very naughty boy either. For the size of the club and the self funding method we have had 14 years of relative incredible success. Some players work out, Pukki, Krul. Maddison, Redmond, Buendia, Gibbs. Others don't. But the endless childlike'toys out of the pram' grizzling on here leads me to believe that those behind such wailing are not NCFC supporters. Does anyone seriously think the board deliberately set out to thwart the supporters hopes ? Perhaps they should take a look at former PL clubs below us. Have they all pursued this line of spite ie doing down supporters. Or is it that success is not the simple formula as some would have.
  3. For supporters and those fed up with the daily whining of the usual suspects. Aarons being in the England U21s should keep the price up should we sell, as looks likely. And Rashica having two suitors (supposedly) should help increase whatever fee is finally agreed. A veritable piece of Turkish Delight. Much to the dismay of the Wailers - those who see anything positive at Carrow Road as a slap in their face.
  4. No. Both looked OK from the start. Steipermann also had the disadvantage of being played a LB. Neither cost as much either so not tying up money. I am not stating they or Sargeant, even Tzolis SHOULD go, but if we can recoup much of the money we can sign players equally as good for far less.
  5. I would not be adverse to losing either Nunez or Sara. Some real flashes of brilliance from them both, but often too few and far between. A number of mi**** passes. We are in the Championship. We need to be building a squad capable of fighting for promotion, not capable of being sold for a profit a few years hence. I don't doubt the combative nature of last seasons squad. But that could be said of most L2 teams. I just don't think some have it in them. If it is to be a rebuilt, then let it be a complete (almost) rebuild, not a make do and mend. Get the spine right and the rest (should) follow. A half season loan of an ex PL CB to cover for Hanley. And an experienced CD. We also need a forward who knows where the goal is and can finish. Doesn't have to be a six footer. Pukki, Robins, Fleck demonstrated that. If a decent offer for Sargeant comes in, take it. And no punts on 'sicknotes' either..........Hayden, Byram, Marshall.
  6. I was replying to a comment that made erroneous claims about what happened in the past. Correcting a lie is hardly going on about the pasr.Understand the difference between comment and reply.
  7. It would make for an interesting Sunday afternoon. Two out of three for the drop. So come on Maddison, get yew them there ghouls.
  8. Staggering the number of ex Huddersfield and Dortmund players in our squad. Perhaps you could remind us all of when Dean Smith managed Huddersfield.
  9. He will be signed by the club. That is enough for the usual suspects.
  10. A new coach ? It could be this one, the binners first team away travel, as with us now being bankrupt with barely a full team * we might have to share to cut costs. Note the appropriate sign above the front windscreen. * Pinkun forum
  11. We also know that around 10% of the club's PL income came from TV rights. So whose money is it ? By your 'logic' Sky/BT etc should be answerable to, for all club expenditure. When reading your posts, it does suggest a learning difficulty. Gowever, I would think that even something so simple as this should be grasped by the limited mental faculties you possess. You'll be telling us next, the club is going to hell.
  12. There's bollox, absolute bollox and there is the endless bollox this idiot spews out. If the players he mentions were not developed at City then why did their previous clubs not sell them for what we got. And Aarons had left Luton when we signed him. No mention of either of the Murphys or Cantwell. Or that Buendia was plucked from relative obscurity. It is a measure of how our academy is viewed that Gibbs left Binman Road to join us, to further his career. And talking of those habitual failures, when was the last time a league standard keeper came from binland ? 20005, Price. Twenty years of failure. Compare that with the production line of keepers we churn out. However it is a sad reflection of how desperate those who dislike City are. That this is the best they can do. He'll be berating the club ext for not fighting global warming by growing a tree on the Barclay Roof. Or why are we not ripping up our pitch to put in undersoil heating.
  13. Like Blackpool were 'on the beach' v us. Urban myth I'm afraid
  14. Mousehold Heath https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wp43OdtAAkM Brian Clough built a team of 'nobodies that won the old 2nd Div, then went on to win LI, then the European Cup. Lambert assembled a team of relative nobodies. It can be done, though it would inevitably mean a far amount of toys out of the pram from the usual suspects on here. Sell OMO, Radish, Max and Sara and maybe a sell on from Maddison. Built a bully team. Players such as Holt and R Martin who never dreamed of PL, and fought like fark to get there when given a chance. Carry on nicking other clubs promising youngsters. Lewis, Godfrey, Maddison, Gibbs, Mumba Money is not everything. Especially parachute payments. All four of play off clubs have did not have play off money, nor expensive signings either. We need winners, not fancy dan Charles 'Charlie' Charles type players. it is a new season, a new era so lets embrace the change and enjoy it, and shut up hinging, and endlessly griping.
  15. That is based on a false premise. The first team is NOT a proving ground. Gibbs was not picked to help him develop, he was picked because he was seen as being 'up to it'. Those out on loan last season were there as they were thought not to be. Hence the loans, and not 'developing' in the first team Elsewhere, it is often talked about the spine of the team. I believe we are nearly there with that. Certainly with Gunn and now Barnes. How effective will Hanley and McLean be, we will have to wait to see. An ex Pl player in the mould of Suggett or O'Neil is what is needed. I also think there are plenty of young players in our lower leagues and Scotland we can pick up. As, in contrast to what some on here imagine, we are a Championship club, with a Championship income. Parachute payments are used to cover PL contracts, still running (albeit reduced)> Lambert took us from 1-7 hammering at home to 3 seasons in the PL with no major signings, it can be done - Luton, Coventry. Webbers comments today highlighted that the club are well aware of our position, just shame some on here are not.
  16. I don't recall our games v Bayern Munich and Inter being viewed by us as minnow cup. I think it may have been originally thought that the finalists might be 'lesser' clubs so best to have a full house, than a half empty big stadium.
  17. "Now Andrew, I know you have been offered a contract that increases your wages by threefold, hands you a hefty signing on fee and means you will be playing in the PL, but we will be doing everything to block that move. If nothing, it will act as a signal to any other upcoming youngster that signing for us is not the best idea." It does also calm some of the whiners on the Pinkun forum who are desperate to find something to slag NCFC off with.
  18. Yes, they know he is joining S'oton, so they are still taken bets on a certainty 🤪
  19. No, I might point you to the other 14 or so ex PL clubs who did not reach the playoffs. And the supposed advantages you bleat about would if correct ensure that the same three relegated clubs were automatically promoted every season. And who said I was happy ? What I am is realistic, and I might add a supporter who has seen all this before, many times. Not least whining brats like yourself who will soon find some other interest that gives guaranteed satisfaction every time Perhaps you do already indulge that passion
  20. That would remove pretty much every sponsor (maybe not a bad thing. The practicalities make it almost impossible but a stadium closer to both (Paris) would make more sense if only the cost to fans - both within driving distance.
  21. or "A total of 47,200 tickets out of 72,000 are made available directly for fans and the general public. The two finalists are allocated 20,000 each." https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/champions-league-final-2023-tickets-prices-where-to-buy/blta247c98a2ee46f20
  22. Whine, whine, whine Take a look at the table. Count how many other ex PL clubs are staying yet again in the Championship. We have no divine right to be in the PL or anywhere to be honest. Every club bar a few in the PL have their ups and downs, that is the nature of the game and what gives it, it's interest. Any shame is in having petulant children stamping their little feet because it is all so unfair boo hoo.
