  1. Here is Ian Crook, at Arnhem, wearing the shirt that was apparently a "later version" Beware of Facebook experts.
  2. The first-ever NCFC third shirt, needed to avoid a kit clash when playing Vitesse in Arnhem https://www.pinkun.com/news/22703285.canaries-plenty-history-blue-away-kits/ Only worn for that one game, I believe. https://museumofjerseys.com/2019/01/28/great-one-offs-norwich-city-1993/ The sponsor-free version has a club crest that looks waaaaay too small, but that is just my opinion.
  3. You say "seeking offers" yet the site states an asking price of £73 per share. Whch is it?
  4. Can any of the 'truth seekers' answer these two simple Qs? 1) If S&J wanted to "further cement their family control" then why not just buy Foulger's shares? 2) Why go to the trouble & expense of creating brand new shares when you already have full & total control?
  5. I am not sure that loans from Arsenal & Villa are ever going to be cheap! but it does seem that the torrent of contract-renewals has slowed (only 4 first-teamers given new deals this season, with 3 from the DS getting improved terms). We'll see when the accounts are released next autumn It is massively disappointing to me that NCFC (and football, overall) is incapable of making a direct link between income & wages.
  6. Please outline why you believe there will be a 50% drop in wages after relegation? If it helps, here are the figures from previous seasons (when the club was similarly keen to let it be known that "big wage cuts" were in place) After relegation of 2005: wages cut by c. 9% After relegation of 2016: wages cut by c. 18% After relegation of 2020: wages cut by c 35% Also please bear in mind that at least one player (Pukki) is still receiving his full PL wage (as per Bailey).
  7. If we were in a vacuum I assume our midfield maestro would be Wes Hooverhan? Playing alongside Henry Lansbury, with a speculative bid in for Kevin Carpet-Beattie? [It's been a long & tiring day]
  8. Maddison was sold for £21m [market value £10m] Josh Murphey was sold for £10.5m [market value £1.5m] Gunn was shortly after sold for £13m [market value £2m] Transfermarkt's data is mostly socially-generated. Yep, kidz in bedrooms plucking numbers outta their a**
  9. Which is why I deliberately used the impersonal pronoun.
  10. I support Norwich City Football Club. If one's support is conditional on the presence of a single individual then maybe football isn't the hobby for you.
  11. ".... but this season it is a simple fact that some fans have been determined not to support the manager..." Fixed it for you.
  12. I was replying to your original post, one that was all about matchday income & had not a single word about non-football activities. And which is in a thread about attendances.
  13. See other threads. There is not the demand (or disposable income) otherwise it would have been done already. Liverpool can count on tourists & daytrippers, happy to pay £350 for hospitality or £50 seat-only. Norwich cannot.
  14. How many youth STs (£250) do you think you will sell? And will it be enough to service a £4.8m per-season debt?
  15. Example here; postcards from three consecutive seasons but who would guess the shirts were the same colour?
  16. I suspect this is 'circular sources' , where historicalkits takes its information from available sources, which are mostly b.w photos with one or two line-art colour trading cards. If you compare postcards from the very early days the City yellow shirt is never the same shade twice. Prob a combo of light / exposure.
  17. As shown in the photo, Rovers' regular kit was black & white vertical stripes. They didn't adopt quarters until 1931. City's yellow shirts were, presumably, more towards the mustard-shade than today's lemon.
  18. Off the top of my head: 1. Part of the problem at Brentford is that their ground is too small because - as their fan admits - making it 20k was too expensive. If cost concerns saw a new Main Stand at CR have capacity cut by 14% between planning & construction you'd be the first to be outraged at such short-term penny-pinching. 2. If NCFC gave discounted tickets to casual fans (on the roll of dice) it would lessen the benefit of STs and decrease club income. (it also encourages gambling!). I know you don't approve of benefits being watered down. 3. Brentford are using Ticketmaster to run their snazzy, new ticketing system. How keen would you really be for such a customer-unfriendly monoply to be in charge of ticketing at CR? What happens when the box office call costs £1 per minute? Or each ticket purchased comes with a £2 surcharge? And who on earth at Ticketmaster would take your call as you begged to jump the queue for a big match in London? The grass is not always greener ....
  19. Tickets behind the goal are £30, so looks very much like it is a Cat B match. The same Cat (& price) as the matches vs Cov, WBA, PNE, Luton, Stoke, QPR, Middlesbrough, Blackburn, Reading, Watford, Burnley, Birmingham & Sunderland. And less than the prices charged by Sheff U, Swansea, Coventry & Bristol for visiting NCFC fans.
  20. Yes, you did. I'll helpfully highlight the relevant words. "So you represent the fans, you know the ones who voted you on, but can't discuss issues with said fans."
  21. So, to be clear, you feel that any fan who is on the OSP should disregard the club's request for confidentiality on certain issues?
  22. It would be ludicrous to expect a TEMPORARY structure to function as well as one designed & built for longevity.
