  1. No. The system was imposed by the club, replacing the fee-free scheme that was previously in place. The changes to Membership were club-generated & only presented to fans / groups as a fait accompli.
  2. It is not a preagreed system. This is a club-mandated system that puts commercial income above fan-loyalty (the earlier points-based scheme was put together by a fans' group and had far fewer problems than Kensall's botch) "The usual suspects" will be the ones supporting the team at far-off grounds, and at inconvenient times, and (often) whether the team are performing well or poorly. There are no logical reasons why these fans should not have priority for in-demand matches.
  3. Being in the PL does not automatically mean profits. In five seasons in the top flight BHA have racked up £270m of LOSSES while making a single season's profit of £24m.
  4. Putting cash into CAMRA's coffers is hardly going to upset them!
  5. I expect the beers will be keg. A venue that is only open one-day-in-fourteen is hardly likely to be serving cask ale.
  6. The Nest / Strikers was a pub at the ground. It closed and became Yellows, presumably because it wasn't a success as a pub/bar. The Russell Allison lounge was opened for post-match drinks a number of years ago and was, generally, empty. I've no idea how many weeks they kept it going but I assume the cost of the extra staffing ended this project. And now wer're trying again. Was the project researched? Does the club know how many fans are likely to change their matchday routine? Or have they just chucked a load of money at an idea that ticks a "fan engagement" box?
  7. Only one party divested themselves of exactly 100 shares. And only one party acquired exactly 100 shares. Are there any financial experts around who could possibly help unwind this tightly-woven ball of complexity?
  8. I'm reluctant to add more ill-informed and pointless speculation to this fine thread, but Attanasio has taken on a new project Let's not kid ourselves that Mark is the one actually doing the work on the NCFC Share deal, but this may have an impact.
  9. You did this back in March and were told then why Aarons is still eligible. You really are tiresome.
  10. I think it is pretty clear that this is the case. We have a debt of £43.9m that is due for repayment by March 2024. The only media rights that would cover this are the PL parachute payments (c £47m in 2022/23 and c £36m in 2023/24).
  11. Do you mean that Phillips never paid the AD joining fee (£25k) or that, literally, he never purchased any NCFC shares?
  12. The Annual Report says (p72): "During September 2022 MA ...purchased a minority interest in the club. The transaction included the purchase of all shares held by MF along with some other minority holdings... MA was appointed as a Director ...effective from 12 September 2022" So around end of August 2023 seems logical (transfer window closes on Sept 1st) Taken literally "all shares held by MF" could be those held in his name only, while "other minority holdings" could be shares held by member of the Foulger family who are not called Michael!
  13. Not sure why "Norfolk" has got anything to do with it. Do you think you are the only poster that lives outside the county? As the Power Court project has already slipped by at least two years (see below) then I have no reason to believe that July 2026 is a trustworthy date for completion. We will see. https://www.lutontown.co.uk/news/2021/march/power-court/ Late 2021 – Commencement of initial works at Power Court. 2022 – Initial phases of development at Newlands Park and Power Court complete.
  14. "... groundworks for the new stadium should begin by the turn of the year with the construction period for the stadium itself estimated at around 24-30 months." So, best case scenario is Jan 2025, July 2025 is still within their projection, and any slippage could see that closer to 2026. So not within 2-3 years at all.
  15. Conceived in 2015/16, initial planning permisson given in 2016 to '2020 Developments (Luton)', scheme running at least two years late. They won't be moving on out any time soon.
  16. Luton Town are still in a stadium that is unsuitable for Champs football, let alone the level above. If they get promoted around ten per cent of their PL TV income will be spent just bringing the ground up to minimum requirements. Eight years after the first planning application for their new stadium no actual building has even taken place, while "detailed design" of the development was only completed in March 2023. They don't own their training ground and their Academy - despite the clear, historic potential - is not Cat One. Is their Board performing better than ours? I too can make subjective & out-of-context comparisons.
  17. That is an entirely loaded comparison as the clubs were in different divisions. Luton spent over 100% of their Turnover on wages - for the second season running - something which the current Board of NCFC have always managed to avoid (Promotion bonuses excepted).
  18. The 2002 Prospectus p21: "It is unlikely that dividends will be declared on the Ordinary Shares in the foreseeable future" The 2002 Prospectus p44: "...the Directors do not anticipate paying dividends to holders of Ordinary Shares in the foreseeable future" The 2002 Prospectus p8: "You are strongly urged to support your Club by subscribing generously" LIke I said, virtually all fans Subscribing did so to help the Club and not to line their own pockets, then or in the future. .
  19. "A Club Developed Player is a player who has been registered with the relevant club for a minimum of 12 months prior to the end of his Under-19 season" That's the rule for all football clubs, whether you like it or not.
  20. Virtually all fans who have ever purchased NCFC shares have done so with no thought of financial benefit. Indeed, the prospectus usually made it CRYSTAL CLEAR that these shares were not likely to produce a return. Of course, there are always one or two who think only of themselves and what benefit they can squeeze out of the deal.
  21. The defeat vs Swansea saw the drummer fall silent at the end of the first half, not to be heard again. Meanwhile many other, younger, fans chose to leave a long time before the match finished. Please explain how these fans are preferable to the "coffin dodgers" who stayed for the full 95 mins to offer support to the team?
  22. Liam Gibbs left Ipswich in July 2021, to play a better standard of football and - I expect - to earn a bigger wage. If he had stayed at Ipswich how many PL squads would he have been part of? If he had stayed at Ipswich how many Champs appearances would he have made? If he had stayed at Ipswich would he have earned more or less money?
