  1. The deftness of some of his first-time touches is genuinely exceptional, and could be key to unlocking premier league defences. He also knows his way to goal and is prepared to shoot from distance, something that might also prove essential next season.. If the backroom staff can work on his ability to graft throughout 90 minutes then we will truly have a top player on our hands.
  2. Electoral history is full of seats that change hands at by-elections only to return to "normal" at the next general election. Without a doubt the Tories are getting a massive bonus from the very successful Vaccine roll-out. The public are simply exhausted by lock-down and everything connected to Covid, so Starmer and the Labour Party find themselves in the most invidious situation. However, in three-years time, when all the official inquiries report back on the disastrous Covid response, and scandals over PPE contracts, when the true cost of a bungled brexit deal hits home, then we might be in a better position to assess Labour's true electoral appeal.
  3. haha! indeed! One would have thought that any true Norfolk man would recognise that Suffolk twang wouldn't one?
  4. Oh dear! you're back with your usual inability to get things right: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/india-trade-deal-brexit-johnson-eu-b1841373.html Brexit: EU steals march in race for India trade deal as Johnson announces ‘enhanced partnership’ Brussels and Delhi tipped to open talks on free trade agreement within days – while UK admits ‘shared intent to begin work’ only. So, clearly the UK are behind the EU in India's priorities for a free trade deal. Who can blame them when you consider the difference in the size of the markets on offer. Anyone listening to Liz Truss' pathetic efforts on radio 4 this morning shouldn't get their hopes too high for the autumn. In particular those brexiteers who voted out to keep the "damn" immigrants out have much to fear. It is well known that the Indian government have made it very clear that any prospect for a deal depends fundamentally upon a massive increase in the number of Indian citizens having a right to emigrate to the UK. Truss clearly knows this will outrage her supporters so she ludicrously avoided mention of the "I" word and attempted to replace it with the hilarious euphemism, "mobility chapter". So, rather than admit that a FTA with India will involve an agreement to allow effective freedom of movement of Indian citizens to the UK, she prefers to talk instead of negotiating a "mobility chapter" as part of the deal. Just like the deals with Australia and Japan, any Indian deal will result in increased immigration into the UK of individuals from those countries (except in India's case the numbers will be far higher). Personally, this concerns me not a jot; however, I suspect many brexiteers will be somewhat suprised and upset to learn just how much immigration these post-brexit deals allow.
  5. More Tory sleaze: https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/boris-johnson-s-aide-advised-on-planning-law-shake-up-while-employed-by-property-firms/ar-BB1gk2WC?ocid=msedgntp
  6. "I want you to hear every single word of the Pledge of Allegiance", said the disgraced former Trump appointee Michael Flynn. Shame he couldn't remember them, hilarious!
  7. Trump rips off the UK tax-payer too: https://www.unilad.co.uk/news/trumps-scottish-golf-resorts-took-800000-from-taxpayers-to-save-jobs-but-cut-workers/
  8. Well, the location concerned will certainly find itself on the green list.
  9. What money have the Glazers actually put in? As far as I can see any money that has gone into the club has been leveraged by amassing a massive debt. Not long ago the club was debt free, now it is in debt to nearly half a billion, and a good proportion of the cash has ended up in the Glazers' pockets. Thus it was no surprise at all that the Glazers were so keen on the ESL proposal. Long live Delia and Michael!
  10. Oh dear! You have nothing to say in response to my post because you have been caught out lying yet again you egregious tick. Your pathetic attempt to distort my comments is so ridiculously transparent that even a primary school child would be embarrassed to have uttered such retarded illiterate tosh. What a shame that you are so morally degenerate you can't find it within you to apologise for calling the young girls sexually abused by Epstein "well paid prostitutes".
  11. I guess Wes's presence might allow some of us to forgive the Cambridge butchers and give them a game too.
  12. Indeed, a great topic for a "where are they now- one year later" article: Bilic, Chinese gulag league. Farke, English Premier League
  13. Oh dear! Your absurd comments just confirm and compound the observation that you are unable to understand simple English sentences. People of an average IQ will have no problem understanding the sentence you quote, but since you clearly don't reach such heights allow me to help you out. The sentence expresses two main concerns; firstly that the comments she made were hilariously stupid, and secondly that the fact she made such stupid comments in a local accent would only fuel the prejudices of many people that such accents indicate a "yokel" mentality. Normal people understand that by using the word "prejudice" I am already indicating that such "prejudice" is wrong because that's what the word "prejudice" entails, as the following dictionary definition makes clear: prejudice [ˈprɛdʒʊdɪs] NOUN preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience. "English prejudice against foreigners" · [More] synonyms: preconceived idea · preconception · preconceived notion · prejudgement law harm or injury that results or may result from some action or judgement. "prejudice resulting from delay in the institution of the proceedings" synonyms: detriment · harm · disadvantage · damage · injury · hurt · impairment · loss · disbenefit VERB give rise to prejudice in (someone); make biased. "the statement might prejudice the jury" synonyms: bias · influence · sway · predispose · make biased · make partial · make partisan · colour · poison · jaundice · warp · twist · slant · distort · prepossess law cause harm to (a state of affairs). "delay is likely to prejudice the child's welfare" synonyms: damage · be detrimental to · be prejudicial to · be disadvantageous to · injure · [More] The fact that you don't grasp this meaning perhaps explains why so many of your posts explode with prejudice against people of colour, women, and people who are non-heterosexual. You obviously think your prejudices are justified, which, of course, we can see from the definition above is oxymoronic (with emphasis on the "moronic"). Further, the fact that you don't understand the linguistic convention of using scare quotes to surround an expression as an indication that one doesn't accept the validity of its use, also shows that your understanding of the English language is below average. My use of the expression "yokel" (note the scare quotes), indicates that I don't think it is valid or acceptable. Sadly, in your intense and desperate desire to find something for which to criticise me, you just make a complete fool of yourself. I understand that you can't help putting your parts on (as we Norfolk folk like to say) when you see my name, particularly because I refuse to let you get away with your morally degenerate attack on young girls sexually abused by Epstein who you called "well paid prostitutes". Perhaps you would be better served apologising for those disgusting comments, than trying to linguistically mangle my sentences in ways that are laughably crass. I recommend you purchase yourself a good dictionary, and a copy of Fowler's Modern English Usage. They might just help you avoid posting the sort of illiterate tripe that you have done here.
  14. Well you can at least console yourself with a new pinkun record as the fastest ever winner of the "That didn't wear well" award.
  15. BTW, top marks to Pukki for anticipating the backpass that forced the poor clearance leading to the goal.
  16. I think you're right that the ref will have seen it that way, but he takes absolutely no account of the fact that the Reading player was late to the ball and therefore culpable for getting clipped.
  17. Aarons won the ball, the reading player continued his follow through late and got clipped as a result. Some dreadfully poor decisions. The last tackle on Aarons was by far the worst of the half- no booking.
  18. Mine's working. Deleted cookies and watching via chrome.
  19. Had this very tame partial albino blackbird as a daily visitor for 5 years. Still get some of his offspring as visitors with the odd fleck of white (but nothing like him)
  20. Haha! No doubt it will be plums and lemons (and an occasional orange for Don to keep his colour up).
