Here's one to leave a foul taste but who would you like to see promoted out of Leeds and Sheff Utd? Leeds play better football and I can't abide Wilder but Sheff Utd would surely be least well equipped to stay up. While I'm happy for either to drop points at this stage I'll go for Leeds even though I would rate their chances less on paper. I'd particularly like to see the efl manager of the year (joke) lose in the play-offs and West Brom get promoted.

Vrancic is one of our Premiership suited players.

It's hard to criticise Farke but Vrancic should surely have been the one to replace Buendia. -

One team with the pressure of getting over the line and one with nothing to play for. On top of that we are getting the rough end of decisions in recent games. -

I'd take a draw right now - it'd be a good result. -

Ricardo's report v Portsmouth FA Cup
Ramrod replied to ricardo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Thanks Ricardo. This march answered a lot of questions and vindicates Farke's team selections to date. Shame for Hanley but he made no attempt to play the ball and now finds himself 4th choice CH and I had personally wanted him back to sort out the set piece concessions. Zimmermann has improved himself so much. He must have a fantastic attitude. Godfrey has also fully broken through as per Aarons, Lewis and Cantwell. I love seeing that above all else. The Academy is clearly doing incredible work with young player mentality. We clearly have a few rusty players and some who the squad improvement appear to have left behind. Above all. After recent results we now need a BIG result to get back on track. That means a draw and no less against West Brom.- 38 replies

Happy New Year, everyone! I'm hanging onto the hope that Brentford have expended a lot of energy and might fade last 15 minutes. -
Another chance for the rest to listen to the Norwich game after theirs have finished.

You usually get some odd results at this time of year. Unbeaten will not be a disaster for us. Farke has a big decision coming up. I'd put on Hanley for Zim. Switch Hernandez to the right and bring Sir Benny on for Todd.

Our propensity to give poor goals away is our achilles heel. -
Max Aarons is an amazing talent at 18 years of age but is in his current position only because he is getting games. No doubt Spurs would multiply his wages and he would back himself to make the grade but promotion with Norwich would mean a regular EPL starting place, experience, great coaching and exposure. At his age he has time to take this route.

You've got to hand it to Leeds. Aston Villa certainly did!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Leeds overtaken by West Brom over Christmas.

This is the second of two tough away games. A clean sheet and a point would be a momentum maintaining result. Our youngsters are standing up to the physical challenge so well. It would be a bad game to lose.

Very interesting article based on interview with Webber
Ramrod replied to Badger's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It was obvious to many that Norwich City was being poorly run AT THE TIME! Hughton was the wrong manager to take over a side built by Lambert. We never had the players to suit. Neil Adams did great work and Alex Neil rode the coat tails but how well was NA supported? Alex Neil was probably an authoritarian but that isn't enough to get the best out of people. He gave the impression of never knowing his best side or how to affect a game beyond plan A. Add in some terrible signings, square pegs in round holes and a squad missing either a centre half or striker. Note, this season no January signings are necessary. It is the worst time to do business. This year, for the first time since Lambert was manager the signings were done before the season started. Finally, why did we continue to sign the same type of midfielder with Naismith being the last straw (don't tell me he is a striker)? Money down the drain. Meanwhile, the challenging Madison was sent to Scotland. Any side that succeeds is greater than the sum of its parts. Our current side certainly is. Webber has brought professional common sense back to Carrow Road. Anyone who says the failings were not apparent before is either daft or disingenuous.
