1.

He will have just about all the crowd behind him. Has there ever been a more popular choice of manager for us?? Fantastic exciting times ahead for us all, considering how nervous most of us were only a few days ago OTBC [:D]
Given that McNally only said 2 days ago that he would be looking for a manager with vast top league experience.........why would it then be Hughton??
For god''s sake someone get an edit button running on this forum!McNally never said "Vast" as far as I''m aware...
Because he managed in the Premier league and had Newcastle in the top 6 before being sacked for no good reason...
 3. Link HERE - the site is a bit hit and miss with transfer news but the fact he was pictured suggests there is/was something in it.It was longer ago than I thought - so maybe nothing has been agreed yet/deal has fallen through.
 4. Good player but he''s going to Galatasaray according to Turkish news. He was pictured landing in Istanbul airport for talks a week or so ago, I''ll try and dig up the link.
 5.

Birmingham fans seem v.concerned.But gotta check this link, scroll to near bottom and you will LOL.http://www.smallheathalliance.com/read.php?1,949227,949247Guy posts a screenie of oddschecker near bottom, but spot he error in his post lmfao.
[:D]Brilliant,what a tool!!
Lol - I don''t know why he bothers - he lives in Birmingham, if he wants to see fat chicks in next to nothing he only has to look out the window.

 7.
I''d always have suspicions over a full back as tall as 6''4"??.......somehow that just never seems to work in area of the pitch?
He''s incredibly mobile for his size, I agree it''s uncommon for Full backs to be this size, but as mentioned before he can play CB too. He''s a very competent player. As an aside, he also speaks fluent English.
 8.
Who else has there been management wise? I can only really think of Houllier, whom I would have put somewhere in between those two extremes. Any other managers with experience in the French leagues?
Wenger for one
 9. I should add, he can also play CB, and I''d love Drury to sign a new deal, but if he doesn''t then this is the guy we should bring in.
 10. With Tierney injured for much of last season, it left us with only Drury to cover as a natural LB (Lappin and Naughton out of position aside). Sebastien Boenisch is 25, 6''4 AND quick, likes to go forward and has a great cross, but is strong defensively and dominant in the air. Very much a ball playing full back, on his way out of Bremen after failing to agree terms. (Link HERE). I''m sure most of you haven''t seen him but keep an eye out for him in the Euros, he is a real classy player. The only issue is that he has spent much of the last 18months injured, but he is currently fit and on top of his game.No inside info or any bull that we are interested in him, but he is a player that I would love to see us sign, and I would hope that whoever the new manager is, this is the kind of player he looks to bring in!
 11. Google turns up no search results so it appears this hasn''t even been reported in the french press.
 12. " the qualities that the new manager must have – they include hunger, commitment, desire, and then the usual things that we look for when we appointed Paul – knowledge, skill, relevant experience and then the glue which holds it all together, which is attitude. "God I am loving McNally''s constant digs at Lambo.
 13. This would be the greatest move the club could make at this stage - I''d be very happy with Hughton, I''d be ELATED to get Hughton and keep Cully.
 14.
Jeez, some people really need to lighten up.
Ok then imagine you have half your family mercilessly slaughtered and tortured by ideological maniacs and then someone makes a joke about it... how funny is it then?
 15.
i didn''t realise i ever had any....it was just a joke... anyway correct answer is  paul lambert twice just to be sure
As someone who had several family members die in the holocaust, and a grandfather who suffered horrifically in a concentration camp, I can confirm you are officially a cnut. There is no humour in the holocaust and ethnic cleansing, you fcukwit.
 16. I would rather have Ken Dodd in charge.Dalglish is scum with no class or integrity whatsoever.
 17. There was one on earlier who had renewed his Season ticket off the back of Lambert''s appointment. Fickle fans with no loyalty. Lambert should fit right in...
 18. I agree. I''d hope McNally is on the phone to Birmingham right now. He is the outstanding candidate.
 19.

Charlie Wyett in the Sun claims we have a full scale player revolt on our hands as they are all pissed off with Lambert going .
They should take it out on Lambert. They should also have a word with Holt for being stupid enough to make demands when the club is trying to sort out the managerial position.
Totally agree. If they want to strop at someone, strop at Lambert for being a cnut. I very much doubt there is much truth in the Sun mutiny story, but it also included an aside that West Ham have had a 3m bid for Holt turned down, and goes on to claim we want double that at least. If there is any truth in it, then our players need to grow a pair and grow up rather than having temper tantrums.
 20.
If Holty had been a shrinking violet he would never have been the player he is.I won''t turn my back on him after everything he''s done for NCFC.
He''s already turned his back on you and all of us.
 21.
Let''s have intelligent players.  Oh, and no Tories.Onwards and upwards.
You just moved on to my personal shortlist for the managerial vacancy.
 22. If you have Twitter, I humbly suggest you show your support for big Dave by sending him a tweet. I think it would be nice for him to feel valued by the fans and although a lot of his work is behind the scenes, let him know it doesn''t go unnoticed. I''ve already sent mine in.@davidmcnally62 - Just seen your interview on SkySports News. Absolute credit to #NCFC. No-one I''d rather have leading our club.#IMcNWT Expand Reply  Delete  Favorite
 23. Loss of Holt revenue is negligible. Seriously, who won''t be buying a shirt for next season SOLELY because they can''t have Holt''s name on the back? Football is constantly evolving. I''d imagine the revenue loss from Holt will be more than made up by the revenue of merch from the new heroes we bring in.
