  1. I'm also from GY ! I owned a house in Holbrooks for 3 years or so, just over from where the Ricoh now is although it was just wasteland and an old gas tower when I lived there. Some would say it still is.
  2. I used to live in Cov, spent some time staying in Leam and then was staying in Nun for 6 1/2 years. Now live back in the glorious Norwich. Maybe I could be an associate member, exchanging woeful tales of the old A14 Catthorpe Interchange, A11 through Elveden queuing as far as the eye could see and the lottery that was, and still is, the Cov ring road. A sight to behold:
  3. I can't stand that main commentator for Sky. He's so annoying; gets excited at every goal, regardless of which side scores it, so he's obviously feigning the excitement for at least one of the side's goals.
  4. Just listening to Mick Mills sounding very bitter on Radio Suffolk.
  5. When Ipswich went 1-0 up I thought it was going to be one-way from traffic from then on. Fantastic result for Norwich, as would any away draw at a top-2 side.
  6. Regardless of it being against Ipswich, a draw away at any top-6 side would be a good result.
  7. Which interview is this ? No reference to the particular one in question.
  8. It was ! I agree. I've since seen the highlights and the 3 goals make Norwich look like quite a fluent, attacking team. Quite a few clenching moments where Sheff W went close though !
  9. Coventry were unlucky not to get a draw against the Binners recently, missing a penalty, so they're not invincible but they do manage to keep going when the match isn't going to plan. On two occasions we've thrown away a two-goal lead, so I wouldn't be surprised at a 3-2 loss for us.
  10. Playing Devil's Advocaat here, the weather was quite bad, so I imagine that quite a few used that as the final decider to stay away. But yes, it looked very poorly attended. There were large regions of seats unattended all round the ground other than the Barclay. Where I was there were 5 seats to my right unattended, with many sets of 3+ seats that were clearly vacant.
  11. There was one part of the match where the game stopped and the players were standing around. I hadn't realised that the ref had left the pitch (to go for a massive dump ??) I thought that the players had just agreed to give up for 5-10 minutes or so and have a bit of a rest and a chat. It really seemed that lackadaisical.
  12. That was the first game I've managed to get to see since, I think, the Farke era, so I had a contrast with how I last saw the team with how they are now. I thought that that was an incredibly unconvincing win, which could have easily been 4 or 5-1. As mentioned above, we don't seem to have much command in the midfield. The entire team looks to be about 60% of what I remember in the Champ under Farke. We seem so slow going forward; there was very little hope of seeing Norwich catch Sheff W on the break. There were a few times when we even passed it back to the keeper from being up to the centre line and even maybe beyond it. It all seemed rather lethargic, as did the crowd, me included. Still, it's 3 points, which I'll take.
  13. I said this a while ago and got shot down for it. Oh well, what do I know ?
  14. Norwich are the joint second-highest scorers in the league. Only behind... Ipswich. However, Norwich are also the joint-highest conceders in the league. Going on that, you could expect a high-scoring loss for Norwich, something like 5-3. Hopefully, our defence will get its act together.
  15. I said much the same in another post and got lambasted with 12 replies telling me I was wrong.
  16. I don't think that getting rid of Wagner would suddenly make our players better.
  17. Only Ipswich have scored more goals than Norwich. Only Rotherham have let more in.
  18. IK wonder if wearing a kit that's the same colour as the pitch helps or hinders play, if at all. 2nd kit should be white with green IMO
  19. Barnsley got kicked out of the Cup for fielding an ineligible player. I wonder how much they charge for a cup of tea on match days.
  20. I'm not watching it. I'm listening to it on Radio Suffolk, chiefly for the novelty of getting R Suffolk on FreeView TV when I can only rarely get it on regular FM. Mick Mills sounds a bit dreary. The main commentator (Brenner Woolley ? ) is sort of OK. Never as good as Radio Norfolk commentary. *Just heard him say "I still have a bit of fear over the derby."
  21. Oh no, it's 2-0 to WBA now. That's a shame.
