The problem was the midfield balance. We had rupp and skip doing the same thing. Rupp was the better player today in my opinion. Defensively we looked solid but that was against a very poor derby side. Again it was so one paced and as soon as we upped the tempo with quick passing we Created our minimal chances. Hopefully things will improve in the coming weeks. A note for concern was buendias petulance again. Giving so many fouls away and losing possession. Saying that maybe you have to accept that as he looks the only person capable of creating something.

I was one of his biggest critics last season but credit where credit is due. He’s been good today.

How much improvement is left in Aaron’s, Cantwell and buendia whilst staying here? Is there another level they can improve to?

Exactly. The “we don’t have to sell” line is just a bargaining tool. To be fair it’s worked pretty well.

Just thinking about the threshold for players improvement. Could a player continue to develop, into a world class player, while staying at Norwich? Do they need to move to a big club? To play with better players and work under better coaches? Obviously we’ve Seen massive improvements in a lot of our young players but are they close to their ceiling here? Godfrey, for example, I couldn’t see him improving much more whilst here because of who he’s playing alongside. With experience you generally improve but I think that we can only take a player so far. be interested to hear other opinions on this, if anybody’s interested.

He’s not the answer in my opinion. 8 out of 11 defensive players started today. Without a playmaker we look directionless. Isolated forwards with no creativity behind. Skipp McLean and rupp is ridiculous. No pace, strength or creativity. We’re making is so easy for the opposition.

When 8 out of the 11 don’t score or create what do you expect. He came here hoping to nick something on the break and got caught out again.

I like farke but his learning stage is over. Forget your favourites and embrace change.
