1.
Open letter to Mr Skipper (because he doesn’t answer posted letters!)   Dear Mr Skipper,   You say in your letter that you seem to have attracted more attention in the past week than in your previous ten years of service to the Norwich City Football Club Limited (the company). I wonder why! It is a basic premise of business that you must listen to your customers. However, there is a difference between listening and delivering what your customers want. The symptoms of what your customers want is the removal of the football management team. In reality what they really want is a return to the days of attractive football at Carrow Road. Whether that is a myth or not. They have come to realise that they have been accepting an inferior product for some time and are no longer prepared to accept it. A season of avoided relegation was followed by a play off final and then a championship. This papered over the cracks as your customers accepted work ethic and negative football as the price to be paid for the ultimate prize of a place in the Premiership. That’s where things started to go wrong for your company. Your customers realised that work ethic and dull football were no match for almost any team in the top division. You, your fellow directors and your Chief Executive were budgeting for an immediate return to The Fizzy League and you made sure everyone knew how prudent you were. With the horror days of the mid 90’s fresh in your collective minds and the ultimate fate of the role models at Portman Road clear for all to see, you saw prudence as a virtue and immediate relegation as the price that had to be paid to be held up as a company with admirable leadership. Your customers really wanted to stay in the Premiership and your workforce very nearly made it. Indeed if you had gone into the final game with eleven players on the pitch who were committed to the club and not seeing their future best served by relegation, they mighty just have made it. However, your relegation prediction came true and your company returned to The Fizzy League. Now you are back where you stared with work ethic and dull football, a midfield packed with big athletes and small talent, a defence that can leak goals at the drop of a hat, even supported by a midfield often found playing behind them and a strike force that is an afterthought. Is it any wonder that your customers are unhappy? You, as directors, are not supplying what your customers want. Your are disregarding their calls for a different product. You are not ignoring them, you are listening to them and then disregarding them – that’s worse. You are adding insult to injury by then attacking some sections of your customer base because they have the nerve to tell you what they want to buy from your company. Look at Macdonalds Mr Skipper. Look at the way they have adapted and changed their product basket in a desperate attempt to meet their customers requirements. Norwich City Football Club Limited is in a much better position than Macdonalds because their customers really care about the company and are prepared to tell you what it is they want, rather than leave you to guess. You should respect that and thank them sincerely for their advice – then act on it. You have choices – you can sit down with your existing management team and spell out very clearly what your customers expect from the people providing the product. If they are not capable or do not wish to provide what your customers want you have the option to change them. If they are prepared to offer up what your customers want to buy then they should come out and say so and outline exactly what your customers should expect from them in the coming weeks and months. If you do not believe they are capable of delivering what your customers want then, as a director, you have a responsibility to your company to make changes. You have a Customers Charter. It goes on and on about everything to do with the club, yet makes no mention of the product your supply – entertainment! How short sighted is that?  Ultimately your customers buy entertainment on a match day. Maybe your charter should be about the sausage, not the sizzle. Have a nice day!
Well put and clear!  I do have one question? What makes you believe that The board have not had discussions with the management team ?(As Mr Mumby is qoted today as saying they have) please see the article on the home page
 2.
At a guess (assuming this story is true), the board have at long last accepted that we need a bigger squad but don''t want to spend any money.  Several Academy boys (not just Spillane and Cave-Brown) were given squad numbers around Christmas time to make the squad look bigger, when there was no earthly chance of them playing.  At the time I was a bit concerned that this cosmetic exercise would encourage false hopes of getting a contract.  Now it looks as though they won''t be disappointed, and that''s a good thing.  It''s great news if we really do have a good crop of youngsters coming through at last.  They must be an exceptional group, as it''s almost unheard of for so many to get contracts at once.  As you can probably tell, I''m slightly sceptical about the board''s motives.  Having called for this to happen, I hope that we as fans will learn to be patient with youngsters trying to break into the side, as our past record in this regard is nothing to be proud of.   Talking of spending money, where do you think the £6 million parachute money has gone?  Where is next season''s £6 million going?  This isn''t a rhetorical question, I really would like to know, and I think we have a right to know.  Any ideas?
all of the £6 mill from last year wiil be accounted for in the end of year accounts so not long to wait! this years will I thing be about 50-60% on the player budget the rest to keep the bank happy (IMO)
 3. This thread shows how hard it is to report football matches , If you look at the reports from the posters and the marks they have given players, there are players that were rubbish average, good and very good all on the same day! Every one has different veiws on what players do in a match and that is fair enough!
 4. Had not realised that Leeds record at home (won 13) (drawn 4 ) (lost 2)  That was a hell of a performance by our lads!
 5.
1 draw and suddently all the KTFers think we are champions league material. Worthy out
Err no I don''t think so < But One good performance(which it seems to have been according to reports and radio) is enough to show how badly things have got! There are people on here complaining that we "only" got a draw against a team in 3rd place in the league and with the record they have this season. The substitutions were sensible and you know it , Saffs to give new legs in the middle and JJ to replace a tired Leon. please tell me what is wrong with that?
 6. if you are a LOYAL supporter you would NEVER want our team to lose. Protest all you like, (you are entitled to state your case for a change in manager and direction BUT no LOYAL supporter should want the team they follow to lose!
 7. If the some of the posters on the thread discussing what the score would be today have any honesty  they should put their hands up and give credit to a good away performance and a score line that bears no resembalance to what they were gleefully predicting!  Oh. I know it is a bit late in the season to start getting good results like this, but IT WAS A GOOD PERFOMANCE so please give credit to the team and the manager ON THIS OCCASION . O T B C
 8. What will this board be like if City win and win?  Yes, I know it ain''t likely and Yes I know we will more than likely get stuffed (we will not be the first team that leeds have beaten this season) but there would be a lot of really pi**ed of posters if we win. Also IF we were to win it will not be anything to do with Worthy! he is only responsible if / when we lose!!
 9.
Nigel Worthington said “I was at Leeds United for two years and thoroughly enjoyed it. They are a very passionate supporters - it a huge football club,” On top of ''Passion, Roy, Passion'' which alluded to his post Stoke win reaction (and that included gestures to the supporters) what is anyone to make of this? Now, I am of the Worthy Out persuasion but deplore the atmosphere being whipped up on all sides along with some of the abuse being dished out. In that respect I am really annoyed by Worthington''s continued agitating. I know he is a poor media man but surely someone at the Club needs to take him to one side and put a flea in his ear. Is it possible he really wants out and is pushing to be sacked so he gets his pay off?
No it''s not a dig at the WO brigade, My mate is a leeds supporter and from what he tels me and what I have seen They are a passionate set of supporters. All worthy has done is tell it like it is. All you have done is twist his words (spin?) to fit your slant on things.
 10.
I understand from the Pinkun, that the Smiths refused to do a press interview, or accept questions from the press on their recent statement either. Why?. I''ll tell you why. They would have struggled with the well thought out and difficult questions aimed at them. Cowards!.
Do you know, I could have sworn I saw tham talking with TV reporters. This of course meant that any questions they were asked had to be answered in front of the camera for all to see. So how were they cowerds Wiz? they were in front of the camera so that what they said could not be miss-reported or taken out of context or misconstrued .
 11.
After waiting months to hear something roll off the tongue of queen Delia, I am quite frankly appalled with the statement. To be honest it''s the sort of statement that was made up by a bunch of year 8 pupils in an English lesson - 100% amateurish she shouldnt have bothered I''ve had my suspicions for a very long time that Delia and MIchael are in fact completely clue less when it comes to football. Supporters they may well be, but I''ve finally accepted that they have absolutely no idea of actually running a club, they just have good advisors (apart from Nigel with the on the pitch department.) I believe from what i''ve heard that our Nigel doesnt like other people interfering and that both Delia and Michael are happy with the level of trust they have in Nigel. I can only put the whole scenario down to one thing (stay with me on this one) Delia and Michael trust Nigel to ''look after their money'' like some old dear trusting someone to do her shopping. And like the old dear, there doesnt seem too much faith in anyone else doing the same job because they might buy the wrong thing, or have different standards, heaven forbid they might not be nice people - it''s absolutely pathetic. They are worried and totally out of their depth, and quite obviously change scares them. We need visionary leaders of this club, it''s not hard to see after this latest address that all we are ever going to do is ''play it safe'' or ''gamble'' when it''s too late like we did with Ashton. This football club with its on the field disappointments has only ever reacted to situations, they have not ever acted proactively. I know the vast majority of fans of this club treat Delia like their favourite grandmother, but folks there is a reason why, its becasue she acts like a grandmother, not the person in charge of a failing football club. Sorry Delia, the longer you wait, the more friends you will lose. Your statement hasnt changed one tiny little thing apart from your now rather smaller audience, and a believed perception that maybe you cant take this club forward.
And obviosly you are better qualified to know what is required in to Run  a football club?  This Club is ran by a board of people with various skills and knowledge of which the Two majority share holders are a part. They have used their business acumen to steady the Financial ship over a period of years to the point where the club will only sell players if the price is right, and before you start quoting player deals ALL yes ALL clubs have a point where they will listen to offers. Everyone, including the board have made it clear this season has not been good enough, the problem is that the people IN CHARGE have their own veiw on what is required to put it right. THAT is what they are there to do!! We are here to moan and groan and keep them on their toes. but we are not here to run the club.
 12.
What a load of old rubbish, but at least they realise all is not right at long last... please do not respond to her calls for unity, only unite behing our new manager   OTBC   St.John
What on earth are you on ?  People have asked for them to comment, They have and now YOU  are telling me and other supporters not to unite behind OUR team? You do what the h**l you like but I will continue to unite with like minded supporters behind our club and our team.
 13. Wiz You put more spin on your comments than anything that "might" come out of FCR. Why is it that if a statement from anyone at Carrow road is not what people want to hear then it is classified as spin? It is not spin it is what the Board / PR dept. or players want to say like it or lump it!!
 14.

Unfortunately your jealous has made you overlook that they are 15 points clear at the top of the premiership and in the 1/4 finals of the FA Cup, and have just lost to the best team in Europe
Sorry mate I thinked you missed my point. mourinho took off a class player, ignored another class player on the bench and stuck clumsy Huth up front as a target man from sheer desperation. That''s what managers do when they''ve run out of ideas, stick the big bloke on, hoof it at him and hope.
Sooo   are we saying that "the special one" and Worthy are on a par as managers!!?? My God we must have a good manager!!
 15.
instead of worthy: Mike Newell Phil Parkinson Bobby Robson I have done this too many times before: Any manager who playes passing attacking football. Ideally George Burley if he has a spat with Southampton.
Newell is in a job (Seems happy)             Parkinson is in a Job (seems happy)             Robson is too old
 16. And what would be gained by getting Delia to comment? If she did not tell us that Worthy was going A S A P all hell would let loose on this and other boards. She is already getting enough calls for her to go and let someone else run the club!  So why the h*ll should she talk to the press? You all know she is not going to be able keep both sides of the debate happy.
 17.
Paul mcveigh has just signed a new contract. He must be mad, i dont see why he would want too spend more time with a manager who clearly doesnt/rate like him. Is this Worthington''s way of trying to get the fans back on side? or was mcveigh forced to sign it because of the option it? None the less, its great news and hopefully a new manger will realise his ability and use him properly.
He has signed for the club because he wants to, the worrying thing is that maybe he see''s something in the current management that (as a professional footballer) he likes. Maybe (just maybe) he is right and some of us have it wrong? The worrying thing for me is the above comment "forced to sign" !  For gods sake what kind of world do you think we are living in. Forced to sign indeed. perhaps they held a gun to his head or beat him to a pulp to make him sign!!   Get real man!!
 18. Club have anounced that sales of season tickets are only 700 down on this time last year. Now, if you consider that last year was a record for ticket sales that is an amazing testimony to the fans of this club. If sales finish down 1500-2,000 then most of that will be taken up by people on the waiting list. How many other clubs who get relegated have kept such a large fan base!
 19. W L Y . has been told club will take up one year extention option on his contract , now with us until 2007.  good stuff!!
 20.

Myself, my wife and 14 yr old son have re-newed our season tickets but to be honest we did think long and hard about it. The reason being that the lack of support the team are getting from some people, the arguing between supporters the silly reaction to the team winning matches and the subdued atmosphere mean it A''INT FUN to go to matches any more. Now I do not care if it is the board / worthy / fans or the press /cleaner or even the clown who is at fault, All my family want is a good afternoon of everyone supporting the team good or bad. This club has been through a lot of ups and downs over the years and with the exception of the Chase era I have never know such a bad reaction to an average season. I wonder if some of the problem is that we are all able to watch so much top class football on Sky that we have lost sight of the fact that most of the league is not played to that standard?  Yes, I do understand that we want City to play good football and we are falling short of that but the reaction of some fans is way over the top.
what you dont seem to understand city is that it is HIS SON whom does not want to go anymore.....
I do understand it is the younger ones that are not re-newing. My son was the most vocal about not going again , BUT his reason was that he did not like the bad vibes at the ground NOT that he was fed up with the club. i still think that the amount of prem soccer on telly gives the wrong impression on quality
Bad vibes at the ground??  what caused by the 500 ie 1% worthy outers I guess then?? Wrong impression of quality??  Well Preston and Ipswich passed the ball far better than we have done, playing attractive football and have spent a tenth of the money we have done? I wonder what is our problem.
There are more than 500 as you well know. The whole ground is doom and gloom at the moment , news papers and telly are carrying stories of demo''s and unrest.this is what youngsters are seeing as I am sure you realise. as for Preston / Ipswich passing the ball better than us? yes they are (at times) If they were consistently that good then they would be top! Look, I do not disagree that things are wrong at the club!1 It is blo*dy obvious . I just do not agree with what is happening to our club. I know some of you put all the blame on the board and Worthy, but the demo''s and negative chants, the constant belittling of the players and coaching staff by the supporters is (IMO) counter productive.

 23. I do hope we are noy heading for a thread stating worthy for not playing shacks!  Please remember the lad has been injured / ill or trying to get fit for most of the season
 24. The problem with the board bowing to what the fans think is that the fans DO NOT run the club. We may not like the decisions they take BUT it is their job to take them not ours. We are quite entitled to let the club know of our unhappiness with the current situation and ,Quite frankly there is a lot to be unhappy with. Where the problem arrises (IMO) is that with the massive increase in the vitriol aimed at the Board and Manager via the internet they cannot allow themselves to be seen bowing to pressure from people with an axe to grind. What will happen if / when Worthy is sacked or leaves? If the new manager is not one that the fans want will the protests continue? Or if the new manager can not get us the good start we all crave next season will the calls start for  ? out . Of course they will because we got our way once didn''t we? so we can get our way again! we will show them who runs our club!!   The board know this season has not been good enough and I am sure they will do what is required to improve things BUT no board of directiors can allow themselves to be bullied into making changes because, just like in the playground if you allow the bullies to win once then you lose control for good. Back off and let them do their job, It will give them space to do what is required.
 25.
What does anybody think need to b done to get worthy out....... (only people who want worthless out should reply}
This is NOT your personal message board so IF I want to replyto your silly post i will! Why oh why can''t we just get on with backing Norwich City football club (ALL of it) until the end of the season/ Nothing is going to change until the last ball of this season is Kicked. So please Back YOUR/OUR team until then.
