  1. To come out of a poor little run still in second isn’t so bad
  2. Leeds, WBA, Scum losing, Rotherham winning. It’s fair to say results could’ve gone worse.
  3. I’ve got a chap sitting a couple of rows in front of me that does nothing but slag Stiepermann off for the entire game. I swear he’d do it, even if he scored a last minute wining worldy against Ipswich
  4. Let’s hope Wes doesn’t sign on with lambert in January 😲
  5. Danny Mills was a whiney, spoilt little daddy’s boy as a kid, Norwich and Norfolk are too good for him in any case. Hi Daniel x
  6. If you want to see a keeper clanger, watch Declan Rudd v’s Birmingham today. Ouch! Krul is fine!
  7. “I realised that he lacked class when he gave that after annual club dinner speech and filled it with the "crap" word. “ never heard of this Broadstairs, please enlighten. I agree though, as well as he did for us, he does lack class and doesn’t appear to be a good man. In fact him and Ipswich I think are probably well matched.
  8. That pass from buendia though. What a player he is. The Vrancic ball to Pukki weren’t half bad either!
  9. That pass from buendia though. What a player he is. The Vrancic ball to Pukki weren’t half bad either!
  10. I agree aggy, it’s easy to overthink penalties and take a poor one as a result.
  11. I noticed there was a bit of dialogue between Pukki and Buendia before Pukki places the ball on the spot. So maybe Buendia will be next. Also might be an idea to let the opposition believe one player is taking it before a different one steps up just before hand. Saves them having to go through the obligatory 5 mins of “gamesmanship” before any penalty is taken. Pukki was surrounded by millwall players at one point.
  12. Possibly. You do get the feeling lambert is a vindictive, bitter man that will do all he can just to get a rise out of anyone connected to our club. Really, the best way of dealing with lambert is to ignore him, treat him as no different to any other opposition manager. You know he is motivated by hate towards him.
  13. Is he injured or is he just this seasons Markey Watkins? Or both?
  14. This whole situation isn’t bothering me anywhere near as much as I thought it would. I feel like we’re in a totally different place to Ipswich right now. Going about a common goal in two totally different ways. And after taking a long time to warm to it, I’m loving what we’re about right now with bringing the youngsters through and wot not. I wouldn’t want to go back, and a lambert-esque appointment for us would be a backward step right now. The lambert era for me is a distant memory (albeit a great one). If he comes good for them I’ll be a bit gutted but if it goes wrong then it could be spectacular and the funniest thing ever, as his margin of tolerance with town fans will be wet bog paper thin at best. He’s gonna have to go some to win them over, given his past I reckon. Anyway, the man needs a job I guess, and Ipswich need a manager. They’re both very iffy examples of what they are so I guess they’re a good match. What I will be disappointed with is if cully goes there. Not because he’s allegedly “the peter Taylor to Brian clough”, but because he’s a genuine city legend from a golden era.
  15. Anyone know whether there are any highlights giving a better angle on last nights goals than the sky sports app? Try as I might I still can’t suss our Rhodes second goal and how he scored it. Fortune or not, the man does what he does best and finds goal scoring positions instinctively but I’m still curious of how it was actually scored.
  16. That poor lad has the worst luck ever. Let’s hope the recovery is straight forward and fast. All the best to you Louis. The whole of City wishes you the very best and is thinking of you. As proved before, if anyone has the mental steel for this Louis Thompson does.
  17. I think a lot of people had doubts over Cantwell initially. No real shame in admitting that I don’t think. I remember thinking he looked too lightweight and almost a bit overwhelmed when I first saw him. But it seems his spell in Holland helped him mature in more ways than one and right now I he’s deservedly keeping his place. I love his energy. Well done to the boy, it’s somehow even more satisfying when someone comes good that you had your doubts about. Credit to Hier Farke for throwing these lads in too. It’s enjoyable watching a young team grow.
  18. I know it was only a few snippets in the highlights but Todd Cantwell really looked like he is growing into a very tidy first teamer. I loved the little outside of the boot pass into Lewis who then set Stiepermann up for his near post miss. Good stuff. To think we’d be winning away at forest with such fledglings in our team at the moment is very pleasing. Who’ll be the next to break in do we think? Idah?
  19. And Leitner too. He really is beginning to look like what we hoped. Seems to have come to terms with the championship in recent weeks.
  20. I agree lakey re Zimmermann. I’ve always felt a little bemused as to why he’s always the guy to make way. I think, especially when you look at where he’s come from and the comparative progress he’s made, a case could be argued that he should be the first centre back on the team sheet. I rate ha let and Klose highly too but I don’t think it’s as clear cut as some people think. Good guy and good player is big Zimm and a club legend in the making. He’ll play the rest of his career here I predict!
  21. I’ve heard a few miserablists whining on about “he should’ve been there in case of a rebound” yada yada yada, but I don’t care, you gotta love Tettey. Such a character. I noticed at the time Tim Krul was struggling to watch as well. I love seeing players like this.
