  1. Former Chancellor Philip Hammondโ€™s โ€˜Remain Allianceโ€™ group of anti-Brexit MPs are plotting to hold their own talks with Brussels in order to secure yet another Article 50 extension and stop Brexit from taking place on 31 October. A Hammond ally and Tory Remainer told The Times that the former Chancellor has an โ€˜extensive list of contactsโ€™ on the continent which he will use to deliver a pincer movement against the Government โ€“ presenting a united front between the EU and Remainers in Parliament. By colluding with Brussels, Remainers believe they can produce a Commons majority to dictate a more specific order to the Prime Minister than the extension request they handed to Theresa May in June. In reality if she had wanted Britain to leave the EU with No Deal rather than extend, the then Prime Minister could have gamed that open ended House of Commons diktat and still secured the UKโ€™s exit. Remainers know that Boris will be far more creative in ensuring the UK leaves as scheduledโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ‘ People: Philip Hammond August 23, 2019 at 8:50 am Hammond ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ˜€
  2. I've given it since yesterday morning when I posted Boris's letter to Tusk here and not one of you has picked up on a key point: The letter only addresses the backstop -- The backstop defines many unacceptable issues, but it doesn't change all the other parts of the disastrous 'Withdrawal Agreement', nor does it alter any parts of the equally disastrous 'Political Declaration' -- Even minus the backstop the 'Withdrawal Agreement' is a 'Surrender Treaty'. Boris told us the WA (Surrender Treaty) was dead and it has to go: Brexiteers agreed and Brexiteers expect the complete repudiation of the supplicant and defeatist approach of the previous administration. Does Boris really need reminding Sir Nigel of Farage and the Brexit Party are waiting in the wings? Forget about GEs & a 2nd referendums --- The best Remaniacs can hope for now is Brexiteers worst nightmare --- A last-minute BRINO. Which would render Van Winkerton correct. (Cue Billock accusations of Van Wink and myself being the same person ๐Ÿคช)
  3. Its because of Brexit you bigot.
  4. Cantwell has thus far exceeded all expectations ๐Ÿ‘
  5. Flying? You obviously don't care about the planet as much as you make out ๐Ÿ˜œ
  6. G-G--G-GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLIIIIISSSSSKKKKKIIIIIOOOOOO ๐Ÿ˜€
  7. Good to see Leitner starting, but room must be made in the starting 11 for Vrancic. Placed a bet at 50/1 for a 3-1 win regardless ๐Ÿ‘
  8. Shi*e news indeed -- The last Roberts who played for the club did okay mind ๐Ÿ‘
  9. Everyone will know your name and shall recall you. Rest in peace, David, and commiserations to your family.
  10. That'll be the end of his playing days, poor fella. Sending good, healthy vibes your way in order to make a speedy recovery.
  11. As the season progresses don't be too surprised to see Aarons benched for the more experienced Byram. The latter may even start against Newcastle.
  12. 4-1-2-3 -- Slight variation of the 4-2-3-1 and a formation that accommodates Vrancic: Krull Aarons Godfrey Klose Lewis Amadou Leitner Vrancic Emi Pukki Hernรกndez
  13. So at four goals to nil Klopp instructed his players to come at us full pelt in fear that, on our first-half showing, we might score five? Yeah, right.
  14. Because we haven't signed quality defenders the only way we're going to compete is if we utilise Aarons & Lewis where they would be most effective as wing-backs in an attacking 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 - In a 5-3-2 the three preferred centre-backs would be Zimmerman, Klose & Godfrey with Buendia, Agadoo & Hernandez midfield and Pukki & Dermic upfront. These are formations best suited to the current squad of players we have. Hopefully, we'll at last sign quality defenders in January to aid our cause.
  15. But any realist will accept the fact that Klopp at H/T instructed his players to take the foot off the gas, Ricardo -- Liverpool followed their instructions and we were allowed to play a bit and got a goal. Our players knew they were being given relief - it was in their body language. Go watch that second-half again.
