https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/players/vieira-reborn-arsenal-fans-hail-17544412 I think he could progress quickly. It seems like he has chosen to come to Norwich, rather than been released. Perhaps seeing Josh Martin's progress has encouraged him. Good news for us, the system is working.

“Farke has lost the players” - Robbie Earl
curious yellow replied to Canary Jedi's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
If Robbie Earle says so, it must be true then. It's amazing how someone that knows FA about the club can tell by watching the game. I suppose that's why he's an expert Do you think Farke has become a worse manager over the season? Have the players forgotten how to play? It's a patched up, inexperienced team, you can't expect an SAS performance from the Home Guard. -
Yes he was, just a list of the players who have recently joined from Arsenal.

Daily Cannon are quoting Michael Bailey. Looks good if true, following Mourgos, Gilmour, Hutchison and Martin.

Another young Arsenal player(18) signing for us?

A couple of transfer rumours...
curious yellow replied to Alex Moss's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I'm sure Dennis Man was in Auf Wiedersehen Pet -
Let's face it, any player that is worth a hefty transfer fee is not going to want to come to Norwich. We have to bring in promising young players and develop them, this is working better now than ever. Unfortunately we have paid the price this season in terms of our league position but if we continue to spend wisely we could find a team that can last in the top flight. I think Idah could be one of our greatest success stories, some time in the Championship will greatly help him.

The Size and Power of Players in the PL
curious yellow replied to Yorkshire Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We need a powerful tall centre forward. I don't think Dawson would have been aple to push Idah out of the way for the first goal yesterday. -
What do we want?
curious yellow replied to lake district canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I would prefer 3 centre backs with just 1 defensive midfielder. Wing backs would give us more options in midfield. -
I think all of group 3 would fit in group 2, with Leitner group 2.5 Hopefully Gilmour will be given a chance.

It says UP TO 50 million. I'm worth up to 50 million. -
...aaaaaaand breathe.
curious yellow replied to Feedthewolf's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Today's starting 11 was 2 different from the one which ended last season v Villa. The 2 players missing would have played if they were fit, we really miss Zimmerman, we don't win many games he doesn't play. The management have wanted us to try to survive on what we already had. I can understand why they have done it, we're in a massively better position than when Webber started. Farke has the ability to make good players out of kids and cast offs. I look forward to another rebuild. -

Competition time - “ The 2 D’s “
curious yellow replied to CANARYKING's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
You'll be asking why they haven't played like that before. Nobody is at their best, Drmic has scored more than Pukki this year. -

Hope they produce their best form -
I support Norwich City Football Club, I say that because it is very much a club that we are all part of, the fans are there to encourage the players financially and vocally. The club does well and everybody is happy but once you take away the fans it ceases to be a football club. Imagine we are 3-0 down with 15 minutes to go and the game is abandoned. We would be expected to replay the game as soon as possible, not replay the last 15 minutes 3 months later with no fans and very little chance of regaining fitness. Well that is the same as what has happened to our season, with a break longer than the close season, we are now expected to play 2 games in a week including our FA Cup quarter final that we worked so hard for and that cost us points in the league. Fitness has been a big problem and left us with a worse depleted team choice than before the break, it shows you how bad the fitness levels were that Stiepermann missed a few days training leaving him so unfit that he could not be considered for the squad for the next match. Pukki had been injured before the break and had no chance to regain match fitness. The last few games have left the players emotionally and physically drained. I cannot criticise any of them, I have sympathy for them, the pressure of what was expected. Yesterday Farke's tough love was to make them feel like relegation is something that they never want to experience against, just like last season he made sure they experienced the joy of promotion as much as possible. I am surprised at the U turn about players leaving when previously they had said we will try to hold onto players We must now try to get some positives out of this season before the side breaks up, there are many talented players but the restart has proved a bridge too far. Sad, but things never work out in this division but I look forward to the rebuild and hope for better luck. OTBC

Get off Farke’s back
curious yellow replied to Dean Coneys boots's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Only 3 defenders available yesterday - all very young-- we have less players than were available at the end of last season. With all the players out on loan, we are planning for the future. Farke has been able to make good players out of players who were more or less on the scrapheap. He has been able to make stars out of the young players. He can only go so far, the restart has badly affected the inexperienced teams. We need proper football back before we can make any judgement. -
I think he played in the win at Man U. We looked in a safe position at that time.

I remember our old manager, Dave Stringer, leaving because he was "past his sell by date" and felt he was unable to motivate the players. I think this is the case for Alex Neil - a short lifespan as a manager and perhaps can over-estimate his ability as a motivator. What I didn't like was his treatment of Declan Rudd, gave him a few games in the Prem and he did well to start, made a couple of mistakes (which any keeper can do!) and was not given another chance, replaced in the squad by McGovern. Perhaps it was planned.

Talk sport selling our players
curious yellow replied to dylanisabaddog's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Quite a prediction. I thought Stiepermann was good v Man City and I think we miss what he, Zimmerman and Vrancic bring to the side.Trybull and Leitner were also class last season. Their experience could see us through the trauma of losing our best young players. New players needed to come in gradually. -
Mumba is the same age as Adshead, also a great prospect but not ready for the first team yet. I think one or two on the list may go to Russell Martin, perhaps some players on loan. Has Mumba signed yet? , also there was that young striker from USA.
