1. But when scouring Europe for the best managerial talent, they forgot to look in Wales for a new manager in the summer.... to be fair the place would have been full of holiday makers, so can understand missing the opportunity. Seriously don''t like to see him that down on his luck.
2. They have just given Cam the motivation to go and score a hat trick when we go there, the whole crowd could see by his reaction something happened, that night, at the time I thought he had spat on Jerome, so surely any investigation would show his reaction was unlike anything would normally expect from him. Disappointing as he a t### pot but goals will help put it right !
3. Bassong and E Bennett were excellent last Saturday, which in turn led to Olsson having one of his best games in a while (Bassong beside him, Benno in front) so both should start, my line up....... Ruddy Whittaker, Martin, Bassong, Olsson Redmond, Johnston, Tettey, E Bennett Hooper, Jerome Subs; Rudd, Turner, Howson, Andreu, Murphy, Hoolahan
4. Morty wrote Hehehehe (clicky) Very good Morty, like it
5. Wonder if Fer has a relegation clause in his contract ? oh no, won''t need it will he because they have better players and won''t get relegated...... deluded or what ?
6. Would be wrong for a manager to play at this stage in his tenure, he is still establishing his authority with them, if he had done pre season etc then maybe, also he was clear when he signed, that he would maintain his registration for the U21''s so he could get more involved, somehow I suspect his feet have not touched the ground since landing at Colney.
7. The excuse is "anyone can beat anyone on their day, such a tough league is the championship" However, we can''t and don''t think we will do anything other than win, Whittaker to score the decisive goal !!
8. Accies, a good bit of common sense is what we need, and to be fair you said the same when AN joined, and said Andreu was the better player of him and Hendry. Time will tell but you have me looking forward to seeing our new talent in action. OTBC
9. Or how about E Benno, I thought Olsson had one of his better performances of this season on Saturday, not sure if it was the presence of Bassong alongside him giving confidence, or was it the understanding of Elliott Bennett in front of him ? as all 3 played well,,,, what a conundrum, could be a lot worse..
10. River end canary wrote; Would like to see the new guy start so we can have the opportunity to boo him quickly. I suppose we may get that chance if AN starts with 3 up front, and really goes for it, but who can we boo the manager for, if he sacrifices one of the old guard ???
11. Now window is shut time to focus on the job in hand of winning games and getting back in the play offs what will be your team for Blackpool, who are on a high after beating Brighton at weekend ? will Howson come straight in, what about the new guy ?, my choice;- Ruddy Martin, Cueller, Bassong, Garrido Redmond, Tettey, Johnston, Olsson Hooper, Jerome Bench, Rudd, Turner, E Bennett, Howson, Andrieu, Grabban
12. We are in a better position than a week ago, IMO, Bassong is back in the fold. Elliot Bennett is back in the fold, wow that''s like 2 new players (I thought Benno did well on Saturday at Birmingham) Laffs has gone on loan, but was so far down the pecking order not an issue, and we have signed a new guy who is the top scorer in the league he was playing in (yes SPL, but can only beat what is in front of you) so I would say play offs still very much on, especially when I look at what the teams around us did in the window.
13. Is this a case of NOONE for us, and NO-ONE for the binners? all quiet down the A140, maybe the thought of being up there challenging is getting a bit scary.
14. don''t think it will be Grabban, they are after Carlton Cole, also think they need the cash to finance other deals, like Capoune from Spurs.
15. No idea, surprised at your post, while it was certainly not a spectacle on Saturday, the team was well set up for the job in hand, and never looked like letting a silly goal cost us, especially with a depleted midfield and available options up front, I fear if Neil Adams was in charge we would have lost, simple as !
16. Predominantly left footed, also plays through the middle, looks like a great signing (£4m not cheap tho) if it happens. Agree could be end of Wes, and almost certain Laffs on way to Turkey if this goes through.
17. To be honest cant see much more happening on the incoming front, probably as good as it gets, lets hope no sting in the tail by losing any we don''t want to lose (BJ, JH ETC)
18. We are all a bit quick of the mark Morty, I think its the excitement of the window, and we might make a half decent signing.....
19. West Brom accepted £4m from Norwich for Dorrans on SSN
20.
Ive seen nothing on sky sports evening mentioning us and dorrans in the same breath? Would be a decent signing but hes always going to join a Premiership club given the option isn''t he
Its on their website, live blog
21. Didn''t AN comment right back when he joined that the window would not hot up unitil the final day, or words to that effect ? sure he did, and watching with interest.... For me Lafferty out, Dorrans in, that would be it ?
22. Sounds like a positive statement in our favour, would be a great addition.
23. Bournemouth just bid for Gray, SSN reckon turned down as unwelcome, there goes any hope we had of going in for him !!
