1. Can only assume Redmond is included because of his U21 performances for England ?.
2. Great report Ricardo, agree with what you have described perfectly, other than I thought Dorrans was MOM, closely followed by Whitts and the 2 usual suspects of Johnson and Wes. Has Tettey not just completed 3 games in a week, he scored last Tuesday on international duty and then played over Easter, another myth dispelled, or have I got my dates wrong ?
3. Stay calm, and keep on believing, we will be fine, between us and Bournemouth for 1st and 2nd place.
4. Think it will be Vadis for BJ otherwise unchanged, from yesterday or Brighton.
5. His ban, means we will get to see VOO start a game, he looked strong yesterday for the short time he was on the pitch, Bradley was wrapped up in the heat of the moment, the sort of player he is he just wanted to get straight back on the pitch, his reaction showed he totally mis read the signals from the ref, only thing missing was the tears. We are so lucky to have a player who wants to play every minute of every game and who is enjoying his role so much.
6. That is a shame !, Redfearn seems to be doing a good job there, considering everything they have been through, must admit though, for me that is a tough away game for us and one I was worried about as a potential banana skin, may just be good news for us indeed Herman.
7.
Thomas Helveg gave a few nice crosses to Ashton though - I think against Newcastle was one for a header Ashton scored which he himself said was only possible from a quality player like Helveg.
I''m sure you are correct Koroma, but I cant forget that goal at Chelsea, for a player who I thought was going to be a star in the premier league at the time, any idea how many times he played for us in the end ? he seemed to disappear quite quickly ?
8. Hucks will always be up there for me, for reasons already mentioned, same with Dean Ashton, RVW got me excited with the thought of a striker prowling the premiership known as the wolf, alas, didn''t last long. Remember Thomas Helveg? signed for us after having been at Milan, Udinese and a few other big clubs, won a load of caps for Denmark, what a disappointment he turned out to be, he cost us a goal that at Stamford bridge that destroyed the team and we never saw him again, and I vowed never to get excited by big name signings again....... but I still do !
9. Maybe we could send him to Hamilton Accies on loan to see out his contract !
10. Looking at remaining 7 fixtures for all, other than Bournemouth we are the side IMO most capable of winning 6 of these if not all 7, starting at Brighton tomorrow, come on you yellows !!http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun/cs/emoticons/emotion-20.gif
11. RVW was a huge gamble, that turned out to be a spectacular disaster and now sounds like we are stuck with him on the wage bill. Agree the question can Alex Neil do anything with him ? if he does it will be his greatest achievement, has anyone seen anything in RVW to suggest that AN can turn him into a goal machine ?
12. The one thing about Alex Neil that I like is his consistency, his message is clear and controlled and very much more of the same, confidence inspiring !
13. Not convinced 5 wins, I think we need 6 wins for auto''s, starting this Friday ! No idea what team will be Friday, has anyone heard about the guy''s who have been away, Whitts, Martin, Tettey and Wessi, are they all likely to be fit ?
14. Bournemouth Norwich ----------------- Watford Boro Derby Brentford With Derby to win the play offs !
15.
Given the piece on Football Focus yesterday about ex-players and current managers going for their pro-licence as well as the ex-Messiah''s recounting of his time getting the licence in Germany, can anyone confirm if Neil The New Messiah has a formal coaching qualification? I am not bothered if he hasn''t aside from it adds to the story over Adams departure. Adams quitting and then immediately going to St George''s to finish his pro-licence work implies he felt being a manager isn''t just about in-built talent and leadership qualities. Whereas Neil at the moment seems to be a natural.
Shef, Alex Neil was up at Stirling University (where Scottish managers go instead of St George''s) last week, he went up straight after the Forest game, to continue his course, he was there several other managers and apparently Strachan put in an appearance as well, so sounds like he is well on his way to getting his qualifications, and before anyone (chicken) asks, my brother is involved with Hearts, and their manager Robbie Nielsen was there and they won the title last Sunday and he said Alex Neil was one of the first to congratulate Nielsen.
16. good signing for Bournemouth, good finisher, comes across lazy, not as good as Jerome
17. He was visiting Norwich to discuss joining Norwich, the 2 clubs had already agreed the financials, thats the way it works, good chance package was also agreed with more than 1 other, if the parent club don''t want to loan a player to a particular that will be discussed when agreeing the package.
18. Dorrans has extended his loan, that was almost nailed on, good news though.
19.
I highly doubt Norwich would boot out a Head of Recruitment on the strength of missing out on a loan signing.
Beg to differ, Akpom was in Norwich on Saturday as our guest, when that happens a deal is normally 90% done, its just the final selling job to close the deal, i would also guess that he had little else to bring to the table, we know we and others were knocked back on Rhodes, so very much would be a big part of why would indeed boot him out.
20. Kenwyne Jones gone to Bournemouth and Akpom signed to Forest both on loan until end of season, guess thats why our head of recruitment went yesterday !
21. what a load of tosh, if was measured since the advent of all seat stadiums whole picture will change, doing a report like this is very subjective and if was done on season tickets v capacity, trophy''s won and international caps, would be more meaningful, and show has been clubs for what size they really are.
22. Absolutely agree Indy, Dorrans on the left, Vadis through middle with Tettey in behind, and Howson being Howson.
23. Apparently bad scenes at Birmingham v Cardiff fans at the weekend, saw something about Birmingham FC apologising to Cardiff fans, sounds like we are slipping back into the dark days.
