  1. I think once AN has had 12-14 games we will know if the use of the word novice is the correct one to describe him, a full compliment of players at his disposal and then we will see the whole picture. In the meantime we are not in a bad position considering the ups and downs of this season so far, never straight forward being a football fan, especially if your team are yellow and green!
  2. Morty, I don''t think you were criticising him, your posts are generally very constructive, I agree on the midfielder, I think the fact that Andreu did not come on last night suggests the manager is not convinced he is up to speed with the level required in this league yet, I do hope Dorrans comes and offers something different, and we get a new paitr of boots for Olsson so he doesn''t keep ending up on his backside !
  3. Morty wrote; No, it won''t. But its a very fine line. I wonder what the general mood would have been here today, had we only come away with a point? Im sure you would agree the managers job is to set the team up, to play the way he wants them to, last couple of games (even when no midfield available) I could see a difference in the way the team was set up and they way they were being asked to play, and it looks much better, and will only improve in time as the players adjust, however once the players cross that white line its down to them, and in the main they did that last night, contrary to general feeling on this site we don''t have the best or strongest squad in the league, we may well be blessed with a decent sized squad that is strong in many area''s, but this is the same squad apart from one addition we had at the start of the season. If the players carry on as they did last night, in the main, and as they did at home to Blackpool and away at Brum then we can mount a serious challenge, There will be great highs ahead as we storm towards the end of the season, and probably a few lows, but give our new manager a dozen games before we question what he is about. If we only had come away with a point last night, I would have blamed the players, and before I get slated, I wont run down individuals, but one or two were poor in the second half, following on from the best 45 minutes from a Norwich side in a long time, poss Spurs at home was last?
  4. Not sure, but I think players would probably prefer the minutes applause, when goes silent can take the atmosphere and everything in the stadium down a level afterwards, players seem less effected by a minutes applause, which is still an appreciation of the person they are acknowledging.
  5. Both remind me of Ryan Jarvis, remember him scoring a cracker against Liverpool in the PL, and then spent his time at place like Orient, looks like a similar pattern emerging.
  6. certainly wasn''t his best game ! didn''t see the "bit" at the end though
  7. Just got home from Charlton, and read this dribble, the OP has not got a clue, IMO, the first half tonight is best we have played since Spurs at Carrow Road, 2nd half we lost our way at times and gave away 2 silly goals, i don''t think Adams team would have bounced back the way we did to find the winner, fans were great tonight again, real fans that is............
  8. stand corrected, thanks Ray, I had it in my mind he was part of that team, only thing is he is at the age where he should be starting to show some consistent form.
  9. Brentford have said that his contract expires at the end of the season, and that they are concerned about having to replace him, not "wanting to" replace him, they are terrified, and rightly so, of losing him, even if they get promoted to the premier league.
  10. Interesting that both these young players shone in the FA cup winning youth side, but have both failed to make an impact whilst out on loan, who do you think will come through and make it into regular 1st team football ? (yes I remember a certain Harry Kane on loan, especially when we played West Ham away, he looked awful). Why have none of these 2 come through, have they been loaned to poor sides (York & Yeovil) who are desperate for goals and the pressure is too much, or are they simply not as good as we thought / hoped? especially when Toffolo and McGeehan having being doing so well.
  11. AN has said that he is aware that both Wes and Grabban have not had much game time recently and need to be eased back into it, the Bassong change probably had an influence on the changes made on Saturday, said it before, to me it looks like good player management by AN.
  12. i think it is that Dorrans is surplus, because under Pullis they will bypass the midfield, Hoofball West Brom style
  13. choke and binners, now theres a nice couple of words for the weekend *itwich town we are coming after you.....
  14. Agree, Cam Jam has not been dropped, he is not fully fit, slight hamstring and with games coming thick and fast now AN is protecting him, I''m glad we have Grabban as a very able deputy, looks like good player management to me.
  15. he did alright, give him 2 or 3 more games and he should fit in well, be interesting to see how he would fit though if Dorrans comes on loan.
  16. For those who diss Grabban, why do you think Bournemouth wanted to resign him this window ? imo it was to strengthen their chance of getting an automatic spot, His work rate was excellent today as usually is, yes he needs goals and ultimately that is how he is judged. If he only scores in one more game this season let it be the binders, in the meantime let him run and run and stuff will happen.
  17. amazing how different their views are (bit like this forum sometimes) glass half full or half empty ?
  18. Grabbs worked non stop all that was missing was the goal he deserves !
  19. Grabban needs u run in my opinion, his record from last season and start of this is enough to suggest with games he will start scoring again, his touch is not the best, he needs balls to run onto and not to feet, hopefully Alex has seen this and will set up accordingly, Grabban to score today ! put a fiver on it
  20. If Cam doesn''t make it today then i think it will be Grabban, Hooper will only start if Cam Jam does, IMO, would be right game to start Andreu, and as week has gone on sounds more like Andreu will start with Wes on the bench.
  21. Well got me chilled on my pre match build up LDC
  22. as above, i can see 3-0, expecting a win, and based on last week, also expect us to be able to keep a clean sheet with Bassong back OTBC
  23. just think if Bruce gets the boot, Phelan could well be out on his ear, then would land at Everton, what a sight Phelan with his arm around Arron Lennon, glum and glummer, pass the razor blade !!!
  24. Never met the man, but certainly seen him around plenty, be strong Sammy and good luck with the battle you are facing, in every Norwich fans thoughts i''m sure
