im spartacus canary 0 Posted October 16, 2013

Totally different to the great Martin Peters'' dive. Absolutely no different to Tierney''s play acting at Bolton. It''s these double standards that pee people off not their opinion on Elmander''s antics.
Both "simulations".
They are both simulations agreed. But violent conduct is a greater offence than a foul. That''s the difference for me. But nobody seems to want to explain to me the difference between the Elmander and Tierney incidents. I''ll go further and say from a Norwich point of view Tierney''s was worse because he was representing our club at the time.
disagree tierneys was better cos it helped us to 3 points and got us going in the prem [:D]

hogesar 9,711 Posted October 16, 2013 or 7) An old man everyone responds to despite his post history suggesting any opinion he has will reverse in a couple of weeks and anything negative about the club he can cling his wrinkly hands on to, he will.A Norwich fan? Probably. A worthwhile one? Nah.

nutty nigel 7,555 Posted October 16, 2013 I''m still waiting for an explanation, hopefully from Wiz, on why the Elmander and Tierney incidents were apparently so different. I''m being forced into a corner where I believe it''s because Elmander is one of ''them furriners''. But that would at best make some posters very small minded individuals. So perhaps there''s another explanation?
I think like the ''How much did Watling Wallet question'' we may never know.I turned to the dictionary and found this;Elmander - a blow that smites and opponent, as in ''he gave him a right Elmander''.Tierney - Old English phrase for something that turns, as in ''he twisted and tierned like a twisty tierney thing''. It seems that one act was just a glancing blow from turning and the other was a blow of considerable consequence.
