OT-F-BC 0 Posted July 26, 2013 A club such as Liverpool attempting to poach David McNally? His work over the last few years must be drawing the attention of the billionaire owners?
ReadingCanary 0 Posted July 26, 2013 It really does say something, when I''d be more worried about losing the Chief Executive of this club than most of the players.Hopefully we''ve converted him into becoming a Norwich City fan and he will stay for many years to come. Juggy 0 Posted July 26, 2013 Probably quite high, he almost left Fulham for Arsenal.Whether he would actually leave.... well that depends on who is doing the poaching.
ReadingCanary 0 Posted July 26, 2013 I still have absolutely no idea where he came from or what he did before Norwich.I overheard something about Celtic down the pub once.. but he seemed to have come completely out of the blue.
snake-eyes 13 Posted July 26, 2013 In the US Senior executives and General Managers are highly thought of and prized in the NFL. To such an extent they earn almost as much if not more than some players. I would believe that paying a high class CEO a salary comensurate to their position and importance for the club would help to discourage leaving to another club. In our case McNally has proved he is worth at least as much as some of our First Team players if not more! Snake

birchfest 397 Posted July 26, 2013 Someone said earlier that he probably sees Norwich still having a huge amount of potential, working with a debt free budget and an ever promising chance of top flight football due to smart transfers gives him a huge amount of space to work within. At a Liverpool there is a large debt and a vastly higher level of expectation and regular media disasters from the A list players Rt deal with.McNally is probably on a healthy wage and probably has bonuses in his contract, I have no doubt he also enjoys Norfolk life... I see no danger in him leaving us any time in the short or medium time, heck he came to us as a floundering league 1 side.

But certainly with a couple of public mistakes he was lucky that Norwich City is off the beaten track in terms of the national media and doesn''t get massive coverage. So these particular stories - shopping the "hacking" nerd to the police and the Look East ban - essentially stayed in Norfolk. If those had been the actions of the CEO at, say, Liverpool all hell would have broken loose.
