What do you think we will bring in and what do you think we need ?

I think we will get 1 striker and there seems to be talk of wanting another goalkeeper. I think we need a striker and holding midfielder, maybe a loan goalkeeper Paul Robinson.

I''m going for no Hooper or Graham. But CMS & Lee Camp.

and is still more than a third of the month away when most of the deals are done in the last 5 days.

At least one striker is a must - just 24 goals in 23 games and only 6 from our strikers all season is simply not good enough irrespective of formation; our strikers do not offer a threat on goal - holt at swansea was the last league goal with morison the last striker to score against villa. That is 8 games ago, over a month and 670s min (11hours) of football

a defensive midfielder - beyond tettey and BJ we have no backup. The is the unused fox that CH does not rate and the loss making Howson (7 defeats from 11 starts) meaning there is no competition for tettey and BJ to sustain their better form nor the opportunity to rest them to allow them to perform at their peak. Both have seen their performances dip as they have not been able to rest. Based on yesterday this may be even more important than a striker.

Another centre back who will lead the defensive line. That we concede so many without him and so few with is marked. And its not his ability that gives us that - he was frankly awful against Newcastle in the first half but he organises. I do think bennett and turner are good enough but neither take the responsibility to lead and unite the back 4 like seb does. Martin is a captain but does not seem to influence enough.

The keeper - Ruddy is a huge miss - but I dont think our defeats have been down to Bunn - so I would not waste money on a replacement

I predict that one of Beccio or CMS will come in and someone like Bridcut.

Graham will be off to Sunderland (despite childhood loyalties to Newcastle) and Celtic will hold on to Hooper.

we wont sign Graham or Hooper, I don''t expect signing anyone this week with a cup game at the end of it. Dont even hold your breath for the Spurs match....we "might" get someone like Makail-Smith at 10.55 pm on Jan 31st.

Evidently according to SkySports, Celtic are bracing themselves for a new improved offer from us for Mr Hooper.

Which came first, the system we are playing or the personnel available to the manager before the system was adopted?

We started the season with 442 which the manager soon realised we did not have the players for. Bearing this in mind I do not think we will be getting another defensive midfielder. Perhaps a more orthodox creative midfielder and another striker so that we can have a meaningful ''Plan B'' because we don''t have the players for one at the moment.

It''s not childhood loyalties Cantiaci, it''s loyalties plain and simple. Would you play for Ipswich? Why does a footballers loyalty remain stuck in their childhood and not beyond?

He''s openly stated he''d never play for Sunderland, and their fans don''t want him either. He won''t be going there.

Also Newcastle interested in Graham, now the show begins. Think for some reason don''t know why but have a feeling Kenwyne Jones will be coming in. CMS is not the one I''d be happy with, as well as that there must be a striker out there for us but from the top leagues not chumpionship.

We are not broke, £70 mil extra for staying up, speculate to acumilate.  bargain basement is not where we should be shopping, Oh yes and we could still push the boat out and clear the club debt.

I''d like to see us get someone like curtis davies in and get ryan bennett on loan to a decent champ team like hull. The big earners at brum have been told they could be sold because they on the brink of administration.

Curtis Davies & Danny Graham/Gary Hooper would be great but I don''t expect any if them. Maybe we need to take the gamble and spend a few £ to keep us up and get the mega bucks next year.
