The Great Drinkell 51 Posted November 24, 2012 Obviously heard he got substituted today due to a leg injury, has there been and news either from the club or on twiter (sorry not a tweeter) - Although I haven''t seen Bunn play and hear good comments about him we will miss JR if he''s out. Syteanric 1 Posted November 24, 2012 Paul McVeigh said he thought it was a thigh injury and depending on severity we could see Ruddy back by next sunday.. probably 100% certain to miss wednesday
NWC 332 Posted November 24, 2012 I got to my seat really early today and watched all of the goalkeepers warm up. I''m not saying that Bunn is a bad keeper because clearly he isn''t, but JR is a good deal better.
Gingerpele 0 Posted November 24, 2012 Yeah, he played well against Spurs and saved a penalty so its like he''s automatically a top Premiership GK. He''s only played 6 Prem games according to Wiki. He was reserve keeper at Blackburn, not first choice. We don''t have any idea how good he is in this league really...
Redders Right Foot 22 Posted November 24, 2012 the only good thing is, is that thanks to our back four, whoever our keeper is may not be called upon much during the game (although ruddy did brilliantly today and was called on a few times, but when he was subbed Bunn barely needed to lift a finger.)as long as Bunn can stay awake and act when (Hopefully rarely) needed. we should be fine. Houston Canary 0 Posted November 24, 2012 The trouble is, JDT, we''ve depended on Ruddy to make some pretty amazing saves in this string of undefeateds we''ve got going. The not-so-real question is, will we be making fun of Bunn''s name as it relates to food or to rabbits? Hop to it everybody!
dpit 1 Posted November 24, 2012 Was rather alarmed when someone told me this evening that JR was dead.
Move Klose 303 Posted November 24, 2012 I remember watching bunn playing a couple of times last season and playing very well. I remember him playing an absolute blinder against liverpool, getting man of match.
Guest Posted November 24, 2012 Fear not,Bunny is a safe pair of hands.
The Great Drinkell 51 Posted November 25, 2012 GP we must also remember who he was second string to, Robinson was Emglands No1 for a few years and was at the time the best english keeper in the land. - you''re right though we won''t know until we see for ourselves. Just remember keepers normally take time to settle behind a back four. I for one thought Ruddy would never make a decent keeper having watched his first few games for us[:$]
York Canary 29 Posted November 25, 2012 Dave Watson will have him up to speed
Branston Pickle 4,169 Posted November 25, 2012 There are plenty of Blackburn fans who thought Bunn should have been their first choice keeper and were miffed that he was sold (but they had little choice in the end). I hope Ruddy gets fit ASAP, but also think we have as good a replacement as any. He won''t be immune from mistakes though (as with any keeper) so we shouldn''t expect miracles. Salopian 1 Posted November 25, 2012 In his Canaries World post match interview, CH seemed to be relatively relaxed about Ruddy, and didn''t think that it was serious. Ruddy''s departure from the pitch was more precautionary than anything else. He could be wrong of course, and time will tell, and it goes without saying that we want Ruddy to play in every match, especially in his current form. So we have to be patient and hope that he is fit enough to face Southampton.

Would really feel much better if he was back fully fit for Southampton away as he''s on fire atm. 2 conceded in 6 is mightily impressive at this level and he just gives confidence to the whole defence. I''m not writing Bunn off at all and have faith in him, but Ruddy is a different class right now from most keepers and it would be a huge loss to have him out when he''s in this vein of form
