lake district canary 0 Posted August 30, 2012 Calling all bedwetting sorry examples of football supporters. Stop talking your team down. We have a good squad have signed some quality players as well as some decent cover players. The squad is stronger than last season. If we get CMS he is going to be a good cover player and will keep Holt et al on their toes. Talk of being relegated if we sign this player or that player is ridiculous. This isn''t 2007. We have a great club set up - stop living in the past and appreciate the present. You never know - we may have a good season if the players compete well - and if they have good support........ Bill 1,788 Posted August 30, 2012 Steady on old chap this is the first opportunity the whingers and whiners have had for a while and with things going as they are down the A140 at poorman road where the grubby little club is falling apart as we speak, you should allow them their bleat after all it''s not as if the club has a clue what it is doing, it''s not as if players signed from League 1 and Championship clubs even were in the squad last season never mind playing for us the signings of Snodgrass, Garrido and Tettey have been a mortal blow and followed by the QPR and Scunthorpe games life is pretty bleak for the belly achers, most who have strangely been on holiday for the past week or so, and therefore have only just been able to log on again this afternoon but like the turds in the toilet bowl of our club they will be gone as soon as the next flush of victory is completed

ImDrunky 0 Posted August 30, 2012 Weakest squad in the premier league? I don''t think so, we have some very talented players in our team and we''ve added to that. I actually think we have one of the best mid-fielder''s in the prem.
Mr Brownstone 0 Posted August 30, 2012 Ok, I''ll bite. Shambles? How is it a shambles? It''s the same squad that Lambert had last year (barring Naughton) nut we''ve added the likes of Bassong, Garrido, Snodgrass. It''s without a doubt a stronger squad than last year, so how is it a shambles?

I''m not attacking you Indy or people for having opinions, I just don''t think phrases like "we will be relegated if we don''t do this or don''t do that" are helpful at all. Talking us down. Its unecessary and destructive talk. Its not factual, flies in the face of the evidence and smacks of people who aren''t really supporters. Have your opinions and express them, by all means, but don''t forget this is a football club that relies on its supporters to get behind them. Negativity at a football club is just not helpful - didn''t we learn anything from Paul Lambert??

Block Y Seat 176 80 Posted August 30, 2012 A positive mental attitude by players and fans will bring better results at games. Negative thoughts will have the opposite effect, realistic appraisal of talents and faults with a view to improvement is beneficial.Constructive critisism is good.Moaning isn''t.H
Indy 3,471 Posted August 30, 2012 I think the real question is: Should we be wasting money on a player who is 28, no better than we have, will command a big wage for our club and if he fails to perform will get it in the neck from the fans who already feel vey negative towards him? He is no Ashton, he will not inspire the other striker to perform better as he is a level below them, they all have a year at Premiership football! Do we need another journeyman back into a young vibrant side, do we need a scapegaot which he will became, another Andy Hughes? for fans to boo! bringing the rest of the team down? I''m just saying that there will be a vast amount of fans who will turn on this type of player! He isn''t young and wont get the break someone from the youth side stepping up might get! So for me it''s no thanks too much risk for little reward.

smooth 114 Posted August 30, 2012 I don''t think any fan turns up wanting to see us lose or be relegated Ldc. I do see where you are coming from but I also see the shortcomings in individuals and our team. But I also see good things.I always want improvement to our team each season and not rest on laurels. When you are also in this league it is different, it is highly competitive withe best players in the world not in the domestic leagues and to compete you can rely on cohesion, ethos and good players can last for only so long. You also need to add quality.Constructive criticism is the best way to always look to improve to increase concentration levels and to fulfil talent if professionals can''t do this in this league they get found out. We are going to battle this season and have no right for premiership football season. We have to earn it. Our players have potential and can apply it, but in a league full of world class players we do fall short. We can do enough and I expect us to perform to achieve that. But those that say, we were 12th last year means we should be ok are far far away from the truth. We start on zero points, we have 1 now, new players, manager, schemes and the list goes on. So do other teams but we will be favourites with many to go down. Many of our fans are concerned as a large number of players have left and although we have replaced many with better players we do need the striker position to be upgraded. There is no question of that. Holt and Morison get injured we will have sj and Martin for the whole season. I think we would struggle greatly. Experience and quality is what the premier league is about. We are building both and our fans know it, but we can see it differently.Personally I see a struggle even with a new quality striker due to the calibre of the teams in this league, the problems off field with those teams and the quality of players in every team. We do not have oodles of cash by prem standard and hence cannot buy our safety but I know we can beat the drop this year but by god this is going to be a very stressful struggle going close to the wire. But our team are capable and you can make it easier with quality, lukaku for west brom is an example of that he will score important goals against the lesser teams as will a Carroll now for west ham. Not the two I would say we would go for but quality can make it easier. Our team can do it as we get better individually and with experience but we are a work in progress, how much work needs to be done is seen differently by every Ncfc fan. Bill 1,788 Posted August 30, 2012 "Do we need another journeyman back into a young vibrant side" yes, a side that is made up primarily of League 1 and Championship players and if he fails to perform will get it in the neck from the fans who already feel vey negative towards him? Cretins like you more like, who have been spewing bile at him without any knowledge yet that his going to sign for us I''m just saying that there will be a vast amount of fans who will turn on this type of player! Phillip J Fry 0 Posted August 30, 2012 Smooth:What''s your opinion on the CMS signing, if yo don''t mind me asking?
Indy 3,471 Posted August 30, 2012 Well yet again the high and mighty City1st has his little attack! "eh" as you normally do! I haven''t actually slated CMS anywhere, just my opinion is no, not for me! I watched the morons boo Andy Hughes and the like, I saw the effect it had on the city side. And no knob I hope that all the players take our club to their heart, like Huch''s, Iwan and the like!
Indy 3,471 Posted August 30, 2012 Oh and City1st "EH" A side made up of 1st division and championship players! Really I thought we played in the Premiership last year! So does that not make them Premiership players? or do you mean your side who play in the Blue & White!
Bill 1,788 Posted August 30, 2012 you appear not to bright so I will spell it out for you slowly ''if'' .. Norwich sign CMS we will be signing a player from a Championship club as we did with most of our squaed from last season as to your snide premonitions about what City fans will do and how they will behave towards a player that is signed by the club I leave it to others to consider why you have already posted up how you feel they would react - and I leave it to them to decide your motivation now why not grow up, put a bit of faith and support in the club and stop posting up such ludicrous and inflammatory sh ite
Indy 3,471 Posted August 30, 2012 "yes, a side that is made up primarily of League 1 and Championship players" Is what you said, but change that to suite what you want. I''m nott the one who come''s on here, with you little snide remarks at anyone who questions anything NCFC does. But hey I''m tired of all this crap, CMS has not signed, I for one won''t be over impressed with his signing, I hope like every city fan that he can score goals if he signs but I wouldn''t put my money on it! Now I''ll once again leave you and I''ll not be bothered to respond to any of your little digs in the future as you are of such "intellect and superior in your knowledge" to all us mear mortal fans I just won''t bother anymore! smooth 114 Posted August 31, 2012 Cms would play well alongside holty and with our players will score goals but again I would not think he is the striker that I could see as a starter in a years time. I would like to think we could bring in a player of a younger age who can lead our forward line for 2-3 years and be potent in this league before we sell them on.Cms is ok, but I would imagine we would look for another striker next summer or even jan depending on our league position
BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted August 31, 2012 I am another who is a bit underwhelmed by the prospective signing of CMS. We were variously led to believe that better was on it''s way. Talk of biggest budgets ever (or whatever) and the frequent brandishing of names such as Guidetti on boards such as this built our hopes up. CMS has something to his game (interested PL at one time, although for a lower level) and is a hard-working player, by all accounts, who will grab his chance of Premiership football with both hands and give his all. If he comes I will be sufficiently happy as I feel that there is a chance that he could spring a surprise, blend in well or score a few important goals. If he fails to come off then he will have been a decent stop-gap at a time where added strength up front is vital. I quite fancy the duo of him and GH in a lively attack that would be something different for Premiership defenders to contend with. We expected class, but we appear to have ended up with a ''workaholic'' footballer. I''ll settle for that, for now. If he pops one in on his debut he will become an instant hero in any case.
