DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted March 15, 2005 To be honest since Deano''s been here, I''ve seen Leon playing the best football he has ever done in a Norwich shirt. Sven will have a job to replace him

Worthy Nigelton

Evening News Sports Page Headline 8th August 2007:

Henderson joins Dereham Town. 0 Posted March 15, 2005 Errr.... no.He won''t even get into the team with Leon''s current form.I personally think that he isn''t as good as Leon, Deano or Jarvis (potentially). Ayrton Twigge 0 Posted March 15, 2005 At best - he''s additional back up. Attack isn''t our problem.
Northern Canary 0 Posted March 15, 2005 McKenzie is better at the moment
Kent Canary 0 Posted March 16, 2005 The very fact he is getting back to fitness again is good news in itself - he''s another option we can use. Welcome back Matty.
0 0 Posted March 16, 2005 Agree with the posters above, Ashton and McKenzie has to be our first choice partnership. Don''t rate Svensson at all personally. Apart from those tow headers vs Bolton, I don''t think I''ve ever seen him head the ball.

And with Leon on fire and forming a great partnership with Deano, i can''t see him starting unless one of them gets injured. I reckon he''ll go in the summer. BedsCanary 0 Posted March 16, 2005 Listen to yourselves. Having Svensson back in the squad is a great chance for us to finally start winning games. Let''s ditch Flem, Eddy and Drury and go for goals!!GreenCharltonStuart // Francis // Safri // HoltAhston // Svensson // McKenzie // Hucks // McVeigh

ZLF 335 Posted March 17, 2005 What short memories people have - Sven was hitting top form and was showing Leon up for a very poor player in comparison before he got injured and now he isnt worthyof lacing Leons boots???Having Sven available will boost the side, his touch and retention of the ball is twice Leons, he is technically superior and has been more clinical this season. I agree he should not automatically start but why deride him? Playing ashton and Sven, two players who can hold a ball upand relieve the defence, may be better for the side.As I have always said if we could have svens ability with Leons mobility we would have a hell of a striker...OTBC
Rasputin was a C... 0 Posted March 17, 2005 I saw Mr. Svensson in Sainsbury''s the other day, buying some fish. Poor bugger didn;t seem to be having much luck though as the bloke behind the counter was speaking in a nice broad norfolk. Svenny has difficulty talking to Roy Waller, poor lad. Anywho, can''t wait to see him get his chance before the end of the season because, like Zippy said, he was starting to really get going before the injury and show McKenzie the way. Hopefully Bentley and Helveg will be able to join him in the team, then I think we might just have a chance.
BIC 0 Posted March 17, 2005 Steady on everyone.Svensson''s not back yet , he''s in non-contact training, which means that it''ll surely be another month at the very least before he''s back up to match fitness. We''ll probably be down by then - though he might be able to get in a game or two to put himself in the shop window I suppose...
