Betting firms put us one of the favourites for relegation:

Quite good article from betfair where they notice that only as we didnt play fancy barca ball we are under Swansea in the odds.

Have to admit that if they really get 20 million from the player sells they have slight advantage, but I still would put ourselves at least on the same line with them.

But who to put behind us in the table? Reading and mayby Wigan, but anyone else?

QPR for me is black horse. If they get their thing running they have quite frightening team. West Ham need new players, but they have money for it. Southampton is good team and they have made quite nice moves in the market, so would put them with us and Swansea.

So how do you think table will look like when campaign is over?

Here is mine when I did BBC calculator.

1.Chelsea

2. ManU

3. Arsenal

4. Man City

5. Tottenham

6. Newcastle

7. Liverpool

8. Sunderland.

9. Everton.

10. Stoke

11. Norwich

12. WBA

13. Southampton

14. QPR

15. Fulham

16. Swansea

17. Wigan

18. Reading

19. West Ham

20. Aston Villa

Might be that I was a bit biased with Norwich and Aston Villa and dont know why Fulham dropped that low in the table ^^

In my humble opinion there isnt anything to really split the likes of Norwich, Reading, Wigan, Southampton, Swansea and West Ham etc. It is going to be really tight and as usual whoever flinches in the head to heads between the various sides will go down. If Darren Bent hits the goal trail again I cant see Villa having too many issues.

It''s definitely going to be a lot, lot tighter this year. I still think we need one more prolific striker to see us safe

I think a LB and perhaps a striker is in need for our summer transfers to be complete.

Tierney is great, but he basically has no competition.

after turner is signed, we have the following people who are excellent CBs; bennett, ayala, turner, martin, whittaker. and martin and whittaker are excellent rbs.

we have more than enough in midfield, too many to list.

and right now up front we have martin, jackson, vaughan, holt. each, by the looks of things, are working very hard to get on hughtons good side so they can see enough pitch time as they want.

If we end up shipping out martin or jackson, another forward is a must.

TC; I wouldn''t particularly say the worst. we had the most injury ridden.

the whitbread ayala duo was amazing once the season got going, but it didn''t last long. I can see Ayala Bennett being a great combination as well, as I said, I think we just need another LB

of course we are favourites. if we bought rooney, gerrard and cahill we would still be favourites. it''s a mantra, they just see the name "norwich" and think fail.

One of the things to note is how other teams have responded to their situation.

WBA for me have so far done very little to make me think they can equal or better their position from last season. Odemwinge is apparently unsettled - and without his goals they quite often struggle.

Swansea - whilst you have to have admiration for the way they played last season how is that going to change under their new manager? You hear things of players not signing new contracts now, Liverpool gunning in to sign players when they said they wouldn''t and now Newcastle want arguably their best defender. Again no new signings that would make me concerend as of yet and they are looking weaker by the day.

West Ham - promoted. Audatious bid for Carroll supposedly. They are going to need to get a shift on if they want to build on what they have. Although they do have some good players, again you would have to worry about their depth and wether the players like Cole who failed them last time really have the quality for the premiership.

Southampton and Reading have spent a bit of money and probably have stronger teams as a result. However on the face of it I am not convinced. Reading signed the chap that was at Fulham. Don''t get me wrong, he looked good but then that was later on in the season and little was known about him. Is he going to replicate that or will he be a bit more sussed out now? Plus Reading arguably don''t have the quality providing the chances for him that Fulham did. Still some good players in both Reading and Southampton squads.

Fulham - have now sold Johnson and Zamora and face a battle to keep hold of Dempsey (who wants out) and Dembele. Murphy has also moved on. Again - I don''t really see how they have strengthened as of yet.

Villa - if they can keep key players fit and away from injuries they should do well. Bent and Abonlahor are both quality players but their squad lacks experience and leadership. Dunne is arguably past his best, Collins is a good solid unit of a defender but not quick. Again, if they don''t get some more depth in they could struggle with injuries.

At the moment there are several teams we are ahead of in terms of preperations simply because we have built on what we have already. Some of our regulars last season might find themselves having to work harder to get into the team and that can only be good. We have that core of the same team and building on that can only be a good thing. More importantly the only player that has gone that was of any real influence was Whitbread and that was our choice. I''m quietly confident and hoping for a good finish again.

Like others I see a left back to improve or compete with what we have and another threatening striker as what we should be focusing on now. In some ways I would rather the striker because if we continue to create the chances we did last season and with the strengthening in the creative and attacking midfield departments I can really see a decent striker thriving off the chances.

struggling defence minus Naughton,Whitbread and Drury... and the only

new defender so far is Whittaker.

I knew they''d put us down to be relegated, but I genuinely think we''ll do as well as last season. I think West Brom for sure will struggle, if Mosses leave Wigan they might not do so well and maybe one of the promoted teams will be down there.

Statto ratings put us 14th which I consider about right.Even without yellow and green glasses I can''t see many punters taking 6-4 for relegation.WBA at 9-2 and Stoke at 7-1 look better value to me.

I am not surprised.I would imagine 15th would be an amazing achievement. But I think many people would consider us one of the favourites for relegation

If we don''t win in our first 4 matches we''ve then got Newcastle and Chelsea away, Liverpool and Arsenal at home before an easy one v Aston Villa :-)What I''m saying is that we can''t afford to get off to a slow start, or we will really be fighting relegation.Let''s hit the ground running with an overdue away win against Fulham !
