Rays funds for FONCY with the Pink un Pickers

Recommended Posts

All you can do is pick the 6 best available Meth. I picked a game with 1/16 odds last season, selected by a picker with a 96% success rate, and that was about the one game that the Croatian title winners didn''t win all season.

The only thing that brings the win in is immense luck, so don''t feel too bad.

Its very tough to ever get the six, when we have a winning week it has often involved a last minute winner.  As has been said, the most certain of games can spring a surprise. I know last year I was on 4 out of 4 going into saturday night, and the one that was the most certain in the end was the one that failed to come in (Monaco I seem to recall)

Safe to say that I dont think any of us would have found six winners this week, you did well to avoid the likes of Man United to be honest!

Thanks Meth, I hope you enjoyed your week if not the results. As I said earlier in the thread we need the luck to be on our side for us to get another winning week. I have every confidence that we will have more winning weeks soon. We have a tremendous team of PUPs now and I’m proud to be part of it.

Once again I enjoyed the thread this week if not the results. And I get the feeling you PUPs are enjoying it too. This week I had to find results from 26 different leagues which goes to show the lengths we are prepared to go in our attempts to find something good to be considered for the final selections. I’m sure our resource library has helped no end on that score.

Once again our top PUPs did exceptionally well. Of the 10 who were 80% or more going into this week, 8 selected correctly. Between them they managed to get 6 of the 8 different selections correct.

69 PUPs made selections this week, just 1 short of reaching 70 for the first time. 39 selected correctly making a success rate of 55% which is well down on last week. Between us a record 40 games were selected of which 22 won making a strike rate of 57% which again was well down on last week. These etats go to show how difficult this week was and what a difficult task Meth had.

Graham is still the clear leader of our league but we now have 7 PUPs sharing 2nd ready to pounce should Graham slip up.

Here is the latest PUPs League showing those with over 50% correct from at least 50% of the available weeks.

Was glad to see you get back to winning ways this week Angel. Your Stats are 4-11 36%

Mine are not much better but I too got back to winning ways and am now on 5-11 45%

Our friend Lapp, who would usually be keeping us company down here is having an amazing season up near the top. Ray would I''m sure have told us that Lapp must have lost his trusty pin [:)]

Obviously I''m disappointed to have been relegated to the First Division this week, but I''m still there, clear in top place with promotion back to the Premier inevitable when ''Lappinitup'' goes Scottish again and it goes tits up.

I do quite like Shyster''s Leagues, they give us short term goals to aim for along the way to the top. My first goal is to get into PUPs Division Three and I hope to make it next week. However that looks a tough league to me, many of those PUPs were Premier League last season.

Shyster, don''t be too sure that Lapp will make way for you. He''s Premier League this season on merit.

I think Shysters leagues are a good idea too, as you say gives you something to aim for each week.

Thanks for my stats Nutty

I quite like Shyster''s League too, but would like them even more if I was on them! Lol.

As a suggestion, if I may be so bold, perhaps he could make them two leagues of twenty, plus a best of the rest, bearing in mind it''s the Top 40 at the end of the season who get the honours to pick the next season?

I will carry on posting the leagues in the normal way except later in the season I may put the Fab40 in bold. (Thanks, good point GMF). I will leave it to the artist known as Shyster to adapt them into divisions.

7/11 [:|] Also would like to appologise to methcanary, thought the Port Vale v Gilligham game was practically a dead cert, Gillingham have a shocking away record, and Port vale have had a brilliant start to the season, with Richards, and Richards knocking them in for fun, sorry again [N]
