Will Lambert play more youngsters now?

Recommended Posts

they may feature on the bench this saturday but I dont think he will until we are secured champs, although I think we could lose the rest of our games and we would still be champs.

Welcome along dear sir.I don''t think he will play a youngster team. As the Banana man said they may feature on the bench. But I''m pretty sure Lambo will want to finish in style!

it depends on which youngsters you mean too, as micky spillane might play some more games, but the likes of dawkin and adeyimi have much less chance as they have been out of the frame for a while now. I would like to see cody play from the start, and gill. The players who have been on the bench most of the season but had very little playing time.

I would rather we gave some of the players that are on the books ala Gunn:- Wiggins,Tudur Jones and Gill, a game or two,  fitness permitting.

These three look as if they are on their way out, but have had little chance to show what they have to offer, esp. OTJ. Whilst Norwich boy Gill came with quite a write up and Wiggins had a decent history.

We do not want to lose potential Championship material, through under-exposure.

Mind you, I thought we let go of Theo. too soon, so what do I know?

Completely disagree.

He is the best right back at the club and i''m sure will be able to handle the championship. The fact he hadn''t played for a while and came in against Charlton and had a big game speaks volumes.

Lambert will go all out to win every game between now and the end of the season.I would expect fringe players to maybe make appearances off the bench once games are safe.

I think Dawkins and Kelly''s performances in the reserves/youth team have been preety impressive recently, but I agree wait till we are champions and then maybe we will see them! Delia Smith online webchat today! Exciting times!

I also think I read on here somewhere that there are more records to be broken, or equalled if we win all our games or something like that so with a chance like that they will want to win.

I would like to see OTJ and Gill featured in a game . We haven''t had the chance to really find out what they can do. OTJ was supposed to be a talent ready to blossom...haven''t seen anything to prove that yet. I think Spillane is a good player, we need to keep hold of!

I hope that the likes of spillane, adeyemi and dawkins do get some pitch time.   I amnot sure I can see Leeds winning all their games so the title is already ours.

As far as spillane is concerned watch the highlights of the charlton game and see how much time and space nicky bailey had for his personal duel with Fortser;  and where was Spillane?  Time and again Bailey exploited Spillanes inability to be disciplined in his defending - its not the first time that has happened.

IF and its a big if he can learn to defend then he may become a good right back;  until then we have been far more secure in that position with R Martin there.

Welcome aboard. I think he''ll almost certainly play some youngsters for the Bristol game, but with regards to the two home fixtures I think he''ll have a more balanced squad. for the Gillingham game in particular, we still need to wrap up the title (which will almost definitely happen, even if we lose I expect other results will go our way). The Bristol game will almost certainly see some youngsters mixed in with a few first team regulars and ditto for the Carlisle game. Being as Carlisle is the last game of the season and when we''ll pick up the title (at least I hope so, as I couldn''t get a ticket for the Gillingham game and just about managed to get some for Carlisle) I expect a few of the regulars to be playing so the fans can effectively pay tribute to them.

Best right back at the club is Russell Martin, pretty obvious the manager sees it that way as well.

Spillane has been on and off the bench for the last few weeks but only came into the team when we needed a little bit of extra reinforcement for a difficult away game. Lambert has hardly rushed to bring him back into the team since he''s been available.

He''s backup to R Martin, no more than that.
