First Jedi 0 Posted September 21, 2009 It''s really great to see a City team that will actually keep on fighting till the final whistle. I realise this hasn''t happened in every game we''ve lost, this season... I thought on of the biggest pluses to come out the Sunderland game is we played for 90 minutes and never let off... the game was dead at 3-0, and yet we battled, got a goal back, nearly got a second and was close to giving them a good game. Even after shipping another goal at 4-1 down, we still plugged away. I was thinking it''ll be nice to see that attitude during league matches, when the cameras aren''t there, and Saturday''s game showed that, hopefully, Lambert''s Canaries are a different mark from other years, when a single goal would kill us. This is exactly what I left Carra Rud thinking on Saturday - and in fairness, going two-nil down to the division''s form team was a situation in which you could really expect heads to go down . But they didn''t, just dusted themselves down, took the game to them and, imo, were unlucky not to come away with all three points. Long may this continue I say! paul moy 235 Posted September 21, 2009 Having the fifth highest attendance throughout the whole league also helps to drive the team on !! [<:o)]
Romantic 0 Posted September 21, 2009 Shame we had to watch utter resignation at MK on Monday though wasn''t it? Some consistency in that attitude and I''ll be much happier.
B-ru 0 Posted September 21, 2009 I agree a great morale boosting performance. There is no way we deserved to loose that game. I would have taken a draw at the start, the drama and entertainment was a bonus. The referee was again a disgrace though.

I was hoping to see that battling spirit then... lets hope it''s not too rare this season!
Michael Starr 571 Posted September 21, 2009 Be fair, the MK Dons game was ridiculous... 3 injured players in one game... before that, we were doing just fine.

We had sporadic performances like this under both Grant and Roeder. But......Good luck to Lambert. OTBC
norfolkchance1 0 Posted September 21, 2009 I was just imagining what may have happened on Saturday under the previous regime. In most of Gunns games that I saw away from home 2-0 was goodnight Vienna.Credit to Lambert for addressing the mindset of the players and hopefully with some overdue luck we might start moving forwards up the league. We were always likely to struggle under those circumstances. I agree however that our spirit appears to be greatly improved, hopefully this will continue and translate into some victories, starting on saturday!
paul moy 235 Posted September 21, 2009 I was also very impressed with the battling performance against MK Dons in the ''teeth of adversity''. A relative of mine who was at the game supporting the Dons, that I met up with at the weekend, said that he was extremely impressed with our left-winger. ricardo 8,034 Posted September 26, 2009 At least we are now fighting for the full 90+ minutes. We just need a change of luck and we are long overdue for it.
