Fans should take comfort from accounts

Recommended Posts

Oh dear Neil, another fine spin.  So NC finaces are ''''robust'''', well I will now put the bunting out and blow up the balloons to celebrate we are showing vigor, strength, or firmness.

As nan would say on Catherine Tate ''''what a load of old ****''''.

Have a nice day.

Hallow Neil

Dunt sit on the fence tell us are we or are we not practicing that spin at Colney.

Cause if not your mother must have been wonder woman.

Well done Neil - you fully deserve your £180k+ salary....

Lets not forget Doomcaster is basically painting this "rosy" picture because that is basically what he is paid to do - manage the finances of the club. If he were to say the club is in a financial mess - he is basically saying he hasn''t done his job properly - which as we all know from our lovable Neil is very unlikely.

His comments relating to wealthy people wanting to invest in the playing side doesn''t sound too encouraging in terms of getting a new wealthy OWNER either..seems they are still looking for people to give them money for nothing in return...

CHAMPIONSHIP NET DEBT, 2006-7Burnley £3mCardiff City £27mCoventry City £30mDerby County £30mHull City £1mIpswich Town £33mLeicester City £14mNorwich City £18mPlymouth Argyle £3mPreston NE £6m QPR £18mSheffield Wed £28mSouthampton £19mStoke City £2mSunderland £53mWBA £4m Wolves £4m

So despite our season in the Premiership, parachute payments and the fire sale of our entire squad we''ve got more debt than Stoke, Plymouth, Preston, Hull and Burnley combined. But it''s OK, ''cos Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton and Cardiff will go into administration a good six months before we do. Good to know.

Be fair, we have enjoyed seeing a succession of fantastic signings since we were relegated, many of whose wages would not have come cheap. For me, watching the likes of Murray, Strihavka has made the increased debt worth it!

Well the .8 is important, it means that we aren''t quite as well off as some would believe, now if it was just £18mill, well that sounds better than £18.8 doesn''t it? lol [;)]

For the benefit of all you lovely posters I''ve run this through Shack''s  Spin-o-Meter and can now reveal the results.

"Some people seem to alarmed about the fact that we haven''t got a pot to p*ss in so yours truly has been wheeled out yet again to try and confuse them into believing everything is OK.

With the AGM a mere three weeks ago I need to make sure that the old dears at the front don''t turn nasty when they find out we''ve replaced the M&S cookies with Tesco Value Custard Creams.

Here are some examples of terrible financial problems throughout the world which have been included in this column purely to make you think that things could be so much worse.

You may find it quite surprising that the financial picture at Carrow Road is actually quite robust. I say quite surprising, f*cking unbelievable would possibly be more apt.

One female supporter from Stowmarket who lists her hobbies as cooking and socialising with friends summed up these figures as a "pleasant surprise". A lot of other people used quite a different phrase.

All supporters should take comfort from the figures........in the same way they should take comfort from forgetting to put their heating on at night only to discover they had p*ssed the bed thus keeping them warm and saving money!

Some nasty media types refuse to believe my carefully choreographed spin. They are scum. Find them and kill them.

I''m about to mention Chelsea and Manchester United in comparison with us. Please don''t laugh. QUICK LOOK AT READING AND CHARLTON!!!

The table at the bottom will show that some clubs are worse off than us. It will also show that some are better off than us. Ignore these. Just concentrate on the fact that some clubs are worse off than us.

Lower debts would be preferable. Sleeping with Kelly Brook would be prefrable than mastubating into a sock every night. You can''t always get what you want. At least the sock won''t dump me for some film star.

We''re not as skint as we were in 1996. We''re skint, I mean really skint. But not that skint. Rejoice.

Robust, sound and manageable. Robust, sound and manageable. Robust, sound and manageable. Robust, sound and manageable. Robust, sound and manageable. Robust, sound and manageable. It''s not our fault honest.

Aren''t the directors great. There''s no need to point that at me Michael I was going to write it anyway. ''Investors''. Why the ''...''. Simple. I''m implying that they don''t really exist.

Short term loans are great. When things go really tits up, and they will, we can send them all back. And I''ll play up front.

Southampton are completely f*cked. What do you mean they beat us on Tuesday!

There are wealthy individuals apparently keen to put their money into playing squad improvements. See how I used the word apparently. Peter Cullum is a very nasty man.

Anyway we know you''ll all be back next year. We''ve been s*it for three years now and you still turn up in your droves. Idiots.

Absolutely superb Shack Attack [Y] [*].  Didn`t we used to ermm "robustly debate" from on here?

Don`t want to depress people further (but i`m going to anyway...!) but just imagine what the loss would look like without the £3.5m profit on players and the £1.6m valuation of the hotel stake.  But of course we`ve got nothing to worry about have we Niel....?[:|]

[/quote]Cheers Mr C [Y]Yeah I think we may have had a few disagreements in the past but I think most people are in agreement that it''s time for a change these days. Posters just tend to have differing opinions about what level of blame should be apportioned to the board as opposed to the players/managers or whether the board have made genuine mistakes or are some gigantic malevolant force determined to run NCFC into the ground. That''s the only real difference.I just thought it was a fairly ridiculous article which deserved to be ripped apart. Now I''ve patented the Shack Spin-o-Meter I might start a weekly thread looking at Mr Doncaster''s column. Having said that I''ll probably see something from the ''Anti-Board'' lot (I hate using that term but can''t think of anything else) that annoys me later and decide to take the p*ss out of that too. I guess that''s the main benefit of being ''on the fence'' [;)]

Yep because you lot know so much more about our club finances than the people who actually work at the club, the people who know exactly our income and outgoings, the people in charge say we''re not going into administration, yet you lot know better don''t you? I think our board need to get talking to some of you lot as you CLEARLY are experts in the finance department, and will be able to grow some money trees in and around Carrow Road and employ some local Wizards to magic some money out of thin air! But then you are the same bunch of people who were slating David Marshall last year, Slating the Doc despite voting him player of the season 2 seasons previously and having a superb season last year, called for Worthys head and then moaned at the steep decline we''ve had since then, accusing the board of stealing the clubs money (You''d think I was making it up really wouldn''t you) and certain posters (Smudger and Co) who will not be seen until we lose a game then they amass about a 100 posts in about an hour! So to be honest I don''t really pay attention to the poison you lot are trying to spread through the club, some of you have proved countless times that you are just idiots, so I have no reason to believe some of this drivel on this post about us definatly going into administration, and I will believe the board, but in 5 years time when we are still not in administration, you lot still wouldn''t admit you were wrong would you? you''ll be poisoning the club in another way!

Don''t forget, it''s now time for you true fan "ear''less 4x2", to reserve a front row seat at the impending NCFC AGM........Polish your welly boots, scrape the brylcreem off your anorak hood, bring Delia''s latest Cooky Booky with you for her to sign - and practise your best hissin'', booin'' and tut, tut, tuttin'' - in preparation for them ''higorant minority'' that dare to question those wunnerful Directioneer''s.

So DS and MWJ have now committed an eight figure sum over the years.

Question is what are their 357,000 shares valued at?

So even Charlton have a net debt of £23 million.

Would that be the same Charlton that the current board in recent years time and again offered up as a role model to follow?

So cup runs are now described as lucrative.

Seem to remember the chief Executive telling us that no money is to be made from cup runs and in fact the play off games cost us money!

Shack Attack that was brilliant thank you!!Think we are more skint than ever we were in 1996 though. Still on the bright side at the current rate we''ll have repaid that securitisation deal back in just another 94 years and that will give us a full 50 years to save up the money to replace the hotel with an infill so we won''t need to borrow for that either. And in the fashion pages I note the Emperor has some nice new clothes..........
