I can honestly say that I would, right now, prefer to be where we are - having just beaten Hull but failing at the last moment to get into the play-offs would be galling in the extreme. 

Given a supposed budget of £12m to spend, they couldn''t even manage to get into the play-offs.

I think that is all part of the point - there was a supposed pot of £12m but it never quite materialised; am sure they spent in the region of £5m in Jan, but it seemed that they did worse after getting in those players than they were doing before.  It will be interesting to see quite what Magilton is given to spend this Summer as to me they have blown what was a perfect opportunity.

As others have said: with anything like £12m I am convinced Roeder would do fantastically (Evans, Bertrand, Taylor for starters).

They still have £9 million left to spend from the original £12million and Evans has said more will be available if needed , cant find much to laugh at them about ,i think they will be above us for quite some time now and people who think Roeder will put together a play off team with a few pennies and a few kids on loan are living in a dream world .

9 million??? I''m sure they will have alot less than that to spend because of the new players wages and other coasts will all add up, I don''t think they will spend any more than 4/5million at the most this summer. And if Madge''s 2m signing of Norris is anything to go by then it wont get them too far either.

So you lovely old "Loan" no doubt you are one of sweetest sherbet''s ever , now this wonderful manager the binners have when he finished his playing career he woke up one morning and said "I am a manager" did he ? That''s more like me waking up one morning and saying "I am now a brain surgeon" or a heart surgeon or better still a computer expert . Sod this butchering and undertaking hanky panky .No this maverick manager will waste Evans money with mistakes , I am still not convinced Mr Evans has the best interests of the binners at heart .
