HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted February 20, 2008 Having read some of the comments, now and in the past, some of you want to have a discussions about Norwich &/or football issues, some don''t, which is it please? One of the best and most interesting was the one entitled something like, "Are English fans Dinasaurs"? which alot of people seemed to like airing their views on, It''s your board, you decide? There''s been the usual abuse, as per other sites, which is expected, as well as some calls for my views to remain, to give a Premiership, and/or other view. Some people would like to keep the board purely Norwich on club issues only, no probs. If thats the case, fine, carry on. There are others who believe that it would save "the same old subjects being aired." As I say, it''s your board but I would be disappointed to leave it as I''ve enjoyed some good debate etc. On my last post I stated that Liverpool would be Arab owned within a month and gave some brief details why. What is the relevance to Norwich, I was asked? I thought that it showed you chaps, that there was a significant number of foreign owners out there who were willing to invest, perhaps, in Norwich next time? Also, if you didn''t know, about the story, then perhaps, you would? The story came from Harry Harris of the Daily Express. He has great contacts throughout the football world and is rarely wrong. In addition to the comments on my previous post, he was the first person to investigate and break the West Ham cheating story, as well as, other huge stories. I kept the details relatively brief but could have said too, that "The Daily Express have seen confidential analysis of Liverpool''s predicament, indicating that the Merseyside club wll default on their £350m worth of loans. Just for the record, the investors involved are Sheikh Maktoum and Sameer Ansari. As it''s been so confidential and under wraps, perhaps, Hansen and Thompson were not aware, seems strange that one?Unlike, the alleged life supporters of the big four clubs, I am a Hammers fan, I was born pretty close to the ground and like alot of you, support my local team, through good and bad. I just hope that a good number of people see this and advise me of their decision. All the best for the seasonAndy.
Scooby 0 Posted February 20, 2008 I don''t think anything you, I or anyone else says (except perhaps the mediators) will make a blind bit of difference to the subject matter placed on this forum. People will write what they want to write, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your point of view, it''s freedom of speech. As long as it doesn''t deteriorate into a non-footballing/NCFC forum then I''m all for it.I, for one, am also quite happy for you "foreigners" to participate as I feel it can add a little more objectivity. Some of the "not strictly about football" threads can be both enlightening and humourous, as in the username thread, bl**dy funny. Wouldn''t really need the story behind your handle though Andy......Keep on posting!
YankeeCanary 0 Posted February 20, 2008 Post away Andy. Variety is the spice of life. Anyone who posts to the contrary is probably the type that would hang on to the garden gate looking at any stranger passing by with great suspicion.
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted February 20, 2008 I don''t care who posts on here, and even if I did it''s a free Country allegedly, so if we mind or not you can still post lol, in all seriousness my step bro is a happy hammers fan, and I will talk to anyone from any club about anything football (apart from a binner), gotta draw the line somewhere. [:D]
Stevo 0 Posted February 20, 2008 Keep posting mate. There''s some good stuff on here and some utter sh*te. If people don''t think it''s relevant to them then they can just ignore it
Stevie Wonder 0 Posted February 20, 2008 I am also happy to see posters who support other teams contribute to this forum as long as they don''t take the mickey and realise that the majority of people on the site will be highly biased towards all things Norwich. I have to say that once or twice you have strayed over the juice extracting line though! One of my best mates at school was a mad keen Hammer and generally games between our 2 clubs are exciting and full of good football so I have always had a bit of a soft spot for West Ham - plus they currently have most of our best players from the last few years in your ranks! One Flew Over... 33 Posted February 20, 2008 how is this norwich city related? [:P]
Joanna Grey 0 Posted February 20, 2008 I have no problem with you posting here, or any other "furriner" for that matter. I do object to topics being posted in the Norwich city forum that have nothing to do with NCFC however, there are other places for that.
bloodwagon 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Just to let you know happy, i was born in Stratford, West Ham, just around the corner from Upton Park, but moved to Norwich, at the ripe old age of 3 but went back every weekend. But i must say the love of me life is Norwich City F.C. theres never going to be a team like them, was there in the 59 cup run, on top of me dads shoulders, them was the days ! 30.000 odd going to games, everyone getting on with everyone. Yep i miss them days. Then again there was no computers or sat tv showing live games them days so to get 24.000 odd each home game now, things are looking up for city. Just like the old days lol
Shack Attack 0 Posted February 21, 2008
I do object to topics being posted in the Norwich city forum that have nothing to do with NCFC however, there are other places for that.
As you were one of the sad bunch who objected to Bly''s post about Man Yoo I''m asuming you read Pete''s explanation, link below if you missed it.http://www.pinkun.com/cs/forums/1165697/ShowPost.aspx"We did have the National and International forum, but it was hardly used - and when we did move threads there they weren''t viewed as much, then somebody else would then start up another on the same thing in this forum. So rather than swim against the tide, this is the main discussion for everything football."In other words there is no "other place" for posts which are about football but not specifically related to NCFC. So stop whining, or else you''ll force me to start posting regular updates on the Slovenian league just to spite you [:P] .Did you ever watch The League of Gentlemen? I think they based Edward and Tubbs on people like you. "This is a local forum for local people, ww''ll have no trouble here!".
we8wba 0 Posted February 21, 2008 dont you just hate outsiders [:D]anyways i dont see the problem as long they not taking the piss, outsiders views usually more accurate as supporters get caught up in kind bubble in there team that they so brilliant, yes im the same i believe wolves are the best, when you lot would say he off his head they just average etc... HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted February 21, 2008 I really don''t know how to deal with this thread? My conundrum, is that I would like as many of you chaps and chapesses, to comment on my future/or not on your board. Unfortunately, if there are only a few views, then it''s hard to decide? On this ocassion only, rightly or wrongly, I have decided to respond to each view. Hopefully, the response given on each will help? PS. To correct my previous comments, The top line of the first paragraph should read Norwich/football issues/football issues that only concern or have an impact on NCFC. Thanks. HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted February 21, 2008 ScoobyThanks for your views. In no way, is it my place, to alter the subject matter that is raised, on your own board. However, there does seem to be a difference of opinion, on this matter, now and in the past. Again, nothing to do with me. My comments are always football based. As for being a "foreigner", sorry about that. I don''t think that I''ve ever responded to something that is not football based, other than the few occassions where the comments by a few individuals has, gone further than just "swearing", "telling me where to go," banter" etc. etc. I''m sure that you would react in the same way. Thanks for your timeAndy
HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Hello Yankeecanary,Thanks for your response, much appreciated. I don''t always post when I only have a contrary view, far from it. I frequently agree with what has been written and say so. All the best Andy
HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Watchya Bingo. Thanks for your thoughts and support.I sometimes see similar views to that expressed in your response. However, as before, it'' is not my place to influence the subjects raised, unless it''s related to NCFC. I would be delighted to respond to any such topics that you may raise, but it has to be posted by you and your fellow Yellas. As it stands, I do not want to incur the wrath of your supporters or mediator, ha ha.Andy
HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Hello WeAreYellows49Agree with you, free country?Happy at the moment, but with West /Ham, things could and usually do change.Agree, only interested in football. Thanks boss.
HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted February 21, 2008 How goes it Stevie Wonder?Appreciate your comments.Agree your first paragraph. Don''t remember stepping over the "juice extracting line, but it was not intended and I take your word for it.I think, that both clubs like to get the ball down and play a passing game, don''t you?Looked forward to seeing Dean Ashton, (ex Norwich player, so I''m alright), play this season but he is currently, not the player that he was.I think that he could be on his way out in the summer, any sel on money involved for you?Andy. HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted February 21, 2008 One flew over... the cuckoo nest, or nothing to do with the name?Hi,As explained, I thought that you would like to know because, if there are still foreign billionaires out there, (unfortunately, buying up our clubs), then there was a good chance that Norwich might be bought up in a similar way in future days. As you know, clubs in all divisions are now being bought, ie QPR. The prospects/or not, of being taken over have often been discussed on here and it seemed a good idea to inform you of such. Was I wrong? Sorry, I advised what I thought was a big story. If you think that it had nothing to do with your club and, should not have been raised, I apologise. WeAreYellows49 0 Posted February 21, 2008 lol boss, now that I could get used to [;)]I really don''t mind who posts on here, I like your posts, don''t always agree with them but enjoy reading them nontheless. If it were a vote for or against, my hand would go up for the FOR, I think you should stay posting.Ok free Country, it was once upon a time lol.As with every football club things change, look at NC, up playing top flight, then down to almost relegation. One thing never changes, no matter what club you support, true fans will be there through good times and bad, rain, sun and snow. It''s what we fans do [:)]

One Flew Over... 33 Posted February 22, 2008
Sorry, I advised what I thought was a big story. If you think that it had nothing to do with your club and, should not have been raised, I apologise.
It was not meant as a serious comment.. I was quoting from the thread that seemed to have set this one off. I couldn''t care less who posted here. And it is always interesting to read about wider footballing matters in general, and by the nature of the majority of this board there will be the NC point of view. Besides I can''t be bothered to chack more than one football related site - so keep posting!
Stevo 0 Posted February 22, 2008 Hi Andy - I wouldn''t worry about it mate. Yes this is a Norwich City forum but I would rather have a football based discussion with fans from other clubs than see the same tired old arguments about our board or the attention-seeking ramblings of a few posters on here.Your views on our club are valid and interesting. I''ve often wondered how those without yellow and green specs, see the club I love....as a threat? as a joke? well-run? etc. I think the only way you''ll get grief is by posting on everything or very specific discussions. Arguably this is where we8wba gets it wrong i.e. he will comment on just about everything and issues that a non-City fan wouldn''t have a clue about. But as I said before, feel free to start threads on enything and everything....if people don''t think it''s relevant, they can always just ignore it. There are one or two who will feel the need to take a swipe but who cares?
BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted February 22, 2008
Post away Andy. Variety is the spice of life. Anyone who posts to the contrary is probably the type that would hang on to the garden gate looking at any stranger passing by with great suspicion.
Like those with edited avatars?Because of its overwhelming popularity, the image was later adapted for use in World War II. Upon presenting President Franklin Delano Roosevelt a copy of the poster, Flagg remarked that he had been his own model for Uncle Sam to save the modeling fee. Roosevelt was impressed and replied: "I congratulate you on your resourcefulness in saving model hire. Your method suggests Yankee forebears."Now just who are those at Carrow Road with methods ''suggestive of Yankee forebears''?You figure.[:-*]OTBC
HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted February 22, 2008 To Peter Grant''s contact book......... Pretty empty I would have thought if, it refers to the possibility of Grant ever getting another Manager''s job, wouldn''t you?''Ello mate, Make that 7 posts! Yeh, I did have a bit of a boring afternoon yesterday. As explained above, the number of posts on this thread was/is a one off to guage opinion. I would still like some of the people who abuse, people or, don''t want me on here to come forward and expresss their reasons to us. Sorry for any "M''s" missing, the button sees to have got stuck! I don''t know who you''ve got this weekend, but, have a good one.Andy.
