This is something I couldn''t understand about Peter Grant...  Although Marshall is clearly a good keeper, why did we spend £1Mn on him when the likes of Neil Alexander were available for free?!  I''d rather have Alexander and Taylor than Marshall and Docherty any day!

very good point nobody knows, does glenn even know??

im just assuming if the club wasnt willing to give glenn 1m for the move then you havnt got 1m to spend, as i would of thought taylor would of been the main priority for the club in jan, camara will be free transfer or 100k max and pattison i wouldnt expect a huge fee for as he out of contract in summer is that right??

so if he has more than 1m who is he spending it on in jan, and why isnt he allowed to sign the rock in the norwich revival with that money?

if norwich were doing well then maybe, but when you are fighting relegation then you don''t really want to be selling your best players, lets face it marshall has been our best player this season, hence winning player of the month twice.

taylor is probs off the QPR, they have offered million for him and vine, we just don''t have the money

keep marshall and go with doherty and shackell and if it gets that bad then play dion there!!!

why is it dumb? yes he good player, but if you sell him and get 2-3 other good players then its a very good deal, marshall is good but he is replacable you know

I would not let what transfer funds we may have or have not  worry you to much , you should be far more concerned at how easily an average Burnley side turned you over at home and who you need to buy to get back on the right tracks.Thats if you have any transfer kitty of course .

Here''s the issue your recommending we sell marshall, and if this was to happen who would we buy? If you haven''t forgot we are struggling to find players of a high quality at the moment, and when we do we are unable to secure them for more than 3 months. As taylor has gone our defence is weaker so we needing marshalls ability he''s too good to let go.
