Our biggest mistakes?

Recommended Posts

Close to the top in my view.

Not recognising the full talent of Aidy Boothroyd.

And, messing up the Martin O''Neil managerial situation.

What''s your choice?

OTBC - we''d better mind the danger!

Not learning from previous mistakes.

Spot on but if you run a club as one big family the heart will cloud the judgement of your head.

selling sutton, fox etc and not getting good replacments

waiting till xmas to sign a quality striker in the prem season

not spending money when we had the parachute payments we should have gone for it we had ashton etc so had we spent another 5-6 million we would have probably gone up and he would have stayed

risking an untried and unproven manager to get us up (grunt)

The biggest mistake in our clubs history, without a doubt, is Robert Chase not releasing the funds to Martin O''Neil to sign Dean Windass. The rest as they say, is history!!!!

In recent times, releasing Malky. A leader on the pitch, a fan''s favourite, and a better player than Charlton who Worthy brought in as a replacement.

Being reactive (and very late in some cases) rather than proactive.  Things have just “happened” to City over the last few years rather than actually making them happen like the Promotion year.  People talk about the board not learning from their mistakes but equally as bad, they have not learnt from the successes they have had either!

Allowing Mike Walker to leave the first time in 1994. Where we would have been now with some investment in the team then????

1, Not signing Dean Ashton at the start of the Premiership season.

2, Not sacking Worthington sooner.

3, Not dealing with the Grant situation which, with the best will in the World, is only going to fester now.
