ca 1 Posted April 11, 2007 I think its a real shame that the fan''s forum which was rearranged by NCISA for April has been cancelled because Mr Grant hasn''t a free evening before the end of the season to entertain us fans.It seems months since the last forum and this would have been a good opportunity for us to find out what his plans and ambitions are for next season and what support he feels he''ll get from the board etc etc.I''m dissapointed [:(]Any chance of one of these web questions sessions with him Pete?? Web Team - Vince 0 Posted April 11, 2007 Have you a crystal ball Cityangel? At the moment an "NCFC boss" is pencilled in for one on the EDP in July, although we''re not clear if it''s PG, ND or someone else...
Bigmarkcanary 0 Posted April 11, 2007 What?! I too was looking forward to attending that, particularly as I''ve never done so before
ca 1 Posted April 11, 2007 Wish I had a crystal ball Vince [:D] Would be good if the EDP chat is Grant but even so July is a long way away.

Instead you will no doubt have to make do with placing your trust in the same old spin that eminates from the corridors of Carrow Road in to the bowels of Norfolk and the wider public world, on a basis that is becoming more frequent than me breaking wind after a night on the town and an extremely hot curry!!! Events conspired against us last time but rest assured another forum with Peter will be arranged at the earliest possible date. I think we are probably looking at the new season now. Rossi 0 Posted April 12, 2007 i really do think that its genuine and honest from the club, but i cant help but be psynical. After all, PG in April would have had questions aimed at next season and therefore may have raised expectations about targets, positions, players and money. How better to deal with things then see what happens through the summer and the start of next season before stating the obvious?
ca 1 Posted April 12, 2007 I agree with your thoughts Rossi , seems odd he couldn''y have have found a free couple of hours in the past few months to attend a fans forum.Still Kathy will get him there eventually, us women never give up!

We''ve never had it so good! I am proud to see my civil liberty disappear and taxes rise quicker than a Saturn 5 rocket. Oh, and the ecstasy to think that my season ticket money was being directed into ''Worthy Causes'' and solid foundations for the future of NCFC - as 24,000 attendances and ''parachute payments'' aren''t enough to survive in the Chumpionship - as it''s a "Jungle out there!" Anyway, it''s all the fan''s fault for booing an'' dissin'' the product.......Now, ''moustache'' as the moderatin'' Old Bill are comin''!........[:P]
blahblahblah 2 Posted April 13, 2007
Yeah, and don''t criticise or debase our current Prime Minister and present Government either!
But you can vote the government out. Mind you, the same civil servants will be actually doing the work regardless of which public schoolboy actually lives in number 10, so I guess I can see your point. In their own way, your Charlie Clarkes and your Delia and Mikes are all trying to make a difference though, which is a lot trickier than just being clever with words in here, as making a difference usually involves getting everyone around you to want to make a difference aswell, and the factory setting of most humans is "lazy". Do people deserve respect for trying to make a difference ? I think so. No one ever erected a statue to a critic. Except Barry Norman. Possibly.

"Two XL Pizza''s and 3 bottles of Moet, an'' put it on the taxpayer tab"..........."I can''t see him, or others of his ilk- actually doing a ''real'' Job, that involves workin'' for a livin''........MPs? Now, that is humans being lazy..."The ''people''s'' servants and representatives?" HAH!Deals an'' Mickey are tryin'' to make a difference are they? So, is the rest of the board holdin'' them back then? Or is ''Darth Donkster'' the true ruler of the Carra Deathstar? Real people wanting to make a difference, are those brave folk, that sadly return to these shores draped in a Union Flag - whilst the spineless and incompetent, just shuffle their feet.....and await their gargantuan salary and expenses......and eventually, their ''comfortable'' pension. Still, someone''s gotta do it........ If you have respect, you''ve earned it........It isn''t a qualification.Real contribition to making a difference? Mother Theresa, for starters. blahblahblah 2 Posted April 13, 2007 Sticking to the football part of that, initially :
Deals an'' Mickey are tryin'' to make a difference are they?
In a division full of nearly men and journeymen, final league position comes down to how badly the players on the pitch want to succeed, I reckon. In management terms, I''d say that getting a team out of this league is much harder than keeping Chelsea in the top 4, you can''t just go out and buy another Shevchenko if your one is broken. It''s about whether you''re willing to play "professionally" like Derby did to us at home, running the clock down and crying like a girl every time a yellow shirt breathes on you, or whether you''re willing to bully teams off the ball like Coventry and others did to us at the start of the season. Or even whether you''re willing to stay in on a Saturday night for a few years while you''re fit, rather than getting caned in a club like some. How good would Newcastle be if Bramble, Dyer and the like kept out of the nightclubs ? Grant is trying to bring people in who want to compete. All Delia and Mikey can do is make sure that he has the money to bring those people in.
Charlie Clarke!? WTF! Regarding Clarke, I''m willing to believe the line "Hard working fella who likes to eat gets slated by a tabloid and that''s all anyone remembers about him.". He seems to be one of the few front benchers who talks in terms of problems and solutions rather than soundbites.
Evil Monkey 52 Posted April 13, 2007 There''s only so much you can expect from a politician, and having the balls to admit when something is wrong is what I like about John Reid. From stating quite boldly what everyone had known for years - the Home Office is not fit for purpose - to laying into the media for focusing on one tiny plan out of hundreds - the "text" updates to asylum seekers - he is one of the few politicians who can give as good as he gets. If Charlie Clarke had more media nous about him, he''d never have ended up in such a mess - he''s the Steve Maclaren of the Political world - hard working, well meaning, but lacking that little bit of charisma...What was my point again, I forget?? Mello Yello 2,572 Posted April 13, 2007 MPs are VFM?.......(snigger). You''ll be sayin'' that they are entitled to be called ''honourable'' next. Because they aren''t economical with the truth, or do ''dodgy stuff'' do they? Maybe they should wire them to a lie-detector at PMs Question Time or when Paxman gives them hell..........They''d have to use 6" nails as fuses, to stop the lie-detector from going into overload and bouncing off the scale. Each to their own.......I suppose.
