Fat Barman 0 Posted April 18, 2007 You could have put the quote in context - Grant thinks that a performance from the youngsters will be enough to see off the scummers. Given the number of times the suffolk kindergarten has produced the goods over us in recent seasons, perhaps we''ll see a return to supremacy by fielding the younger of the two teams on Sunday!Warner, Cave-Brown, Shackell, Spillane, Drury, Croft, Etuhu, Hughes, Eagle, Martin, Renton. Average age 22 (21 for the outfield players). If Croft can''t play, Hughes would switch to the right, with Bally Smart getting his first start. The outfield would have an average age of 20 - how could Tahn compete with such youthful enthusiasm?Yes, I''m worried too!

Surely Andrew Cave-Brown should be ahead of Smart...
DisorientatedCanary 0 Posted April 18, 2007 you really do have a thing about Cave-Brown dont you???. but if Crofty is injured you cant stick Cave-Brown in there, it has to be Bally Smart purely because he will be alot more aggresive in that position that a right back OR Andy Hughes. taking the game to Ipswich is the only way we are going to beat them. they will come at us like a train!!!. Fat Barman 0 Posted April 18, 2007 Crofty was kicked all over the pitch last night and may struggle for fitness. I already had Cave-Brown at right-back on my team sheet, to free up Hughes to go in the midfield.

Cave-Brown best position is right-back.

Still he has a ready made excuse if we take another hiding. thats one thing he is good at excuses.

ca 1 Posted April 18, 2007 I''m trying not to worry but I know I won''t sleep properly until I know that Hucks and Dublin are fit.May go to Colney on Friday and find out what the state of play is first hand. [:)]
Lambo 0 Posted April 18, 2007 if we have Hucks and Dion playing i think we have a great chance against Ipswich, even with alot of youth players in the team
Fat Barman 0 Posted April 19, 2007 7rew - Spillane has been in midfield, but with DDub struggling, he is the best option to put in central defence, with Bally Smart making his debut in midfield.cityangel - please post if you do go to Colney, you''ll be the most popular Friday thread, as well as the most popular poster [:D]. Hissing Sid 160 Posted April 19, 2007 In the absence of DD, Hux and Croft it could be like this: WarnerColin Spillane Shacks DrurySmart Etuhu Hughes Eagle Martin RentonGranted, this is worst case. Chance for the kids to become heroes? Lets face it, the Ip***ch kids did a job on us last season at the Carra, our turn this time?
