How much are the players ACTUALLY on?

Does anybody have an educated guess or know roughly how much norwich players are on? ive heard peter thorne is on roughly 7-8k a week,which is shockin! and if you take football manager (which to be fair is normally pretty accurate) they have earnshaw to be on £12,000 a week

Hucks  Earnie    12k plus

The rest, anywhere between 3k and 10k but difficult to say exactly who gets the greater and who gets the lesser sum.

Work it out for yourself. £13 million went on wages and salaries last year. 75 people on the football side of things (including Academy and support staff).

134 people on all other emmployment.

Football manager isnt privy to the amount a player is on.. the programmers have admitted they know what the Average wage for players in eevery division are and work out the rest from there...

 

so its fair to say that a good championship striker such as Earnie, would be on that amount in the game as its on a par with an Average premiership striker or a striker playing for one of the teams in the bottom half of the prem every year.. EG fulham

I know Iwan Roberts was earning 4K a week in 2000 for norwich + goal bonus ! I know this because i asked him myself while out on the razz and chatting to him . Adrian Coote was on about a 1K around the same time . I am guessing but i think Hucks will be on around 17K - 20K a week and he is worth it .... Earnie 14K / 15K ( guess)

I have seen figures of around 12k quoted for both players, I would imagine that 12-14k is the top limit of what Earnshaw and Huckerby earn.

your not that bloke Iwan makes refence too in his book.. the chap asks Iwan how much is he earning and iwan wells him to "go forth and multiply"

I''m told Hucks is on £20kpw. This initially involved some local businessmen paying a proportion of his wage, but I''m not sure what happened when he signed a new deal. I can''t believe the club would for out £1m a year on one player without financial assistance from someone outside the club, but you can never be certain.

Unbelievably, Hughes is (supposedly) on £6kpw!! Apparently we did a deal for him in the transfer window but he refused to take a pay cut (same with Thorne) so decided to see out his contract with us.

Truth is none of us knows.  All is speculation with occasional mischief making.  The best evidence is that last season, Mrs McKenzie told the press that Leon was on £3,500 a week.  She was accusing him of not meeting his responsibilities so the higher the wage, the better the story.   It is safe to assume that the claim was not understated.

 Before we went up Hucks was on a contract which stipulated a wage rise if we were promoted, and a wage drop if we were relegated. At the time he was on 11k a week, which would be doubled if we were promoted....which it was. Would be interesting to know if his new deal is anything like this.

Most of the players are on contracts with agreed rises / drops depending on the division. As in the short - medium term (say 5 years) it is unlikely (and definietly far from certain) that we will  turn into a mid-table prem side, this makes sound financial sense

although the players were on a wage depending on the division, oon relegation the wages did not fall back to previous championship levels but to some figure in between the 2.  I guess this would have been to put the players on par with the quality new signings like Hughes and Jarrett just coming into the club.

The average NCFC wage was £6500 for the first team squad (average worked out by taking the 9 million player budget and dividing hy the number of players this covered. including players like Eagle, Halliday Jarvises and co, as well as your higher earners like Hughes, Donk, Thorne and Erny.

If only it was so simple CJF.

If you are referring to the 9m player budget in the last financial report then I was under the impression it was for wages paid between 1st June 2005 and 31st May 2006. If that''s the case (and I think it is) the 9m will include a couple of months of  Helveg, Jonson and Francis, and 8 months of Ashton for a start. I seriously doubt that the average NCFC wage is £6500 but I guess it could be.

I''m pretty sure that £65 would have been too much this week!
